    Ikr. After last week’s eps I thought he’d be on team JangPoong in this week’s eps but it didn’t happen. I think greed is starting to consume him. He already tried to frame JangPoong twice.

    But yay for DuKgu and MalSok! I was ready to cry for him after she had his revenge on him lol They are just so cute and adorable together.

      I don’t think Lawyer Do Ha will go over to Jang Poong without a fight. He obviously wants the company… he’ll probably face Congressman Yang soon, which should be an interesting conflict.

      And LOL that I’m not the only one shipping Do Ha with the Prosecutor. Jo Jang Poong ships them too 😂

    @mary,

    I totally agree! Did you see RDH in GOD’S QUIZ: REBOOT? I loved it, and thought that Kim Jae-won did a fantastic job as the antihero.

    I didn’t realize that SPECIAL LABOR INSPECTOR JO has Ryu Deok-hwan AND Oh Dae-hwan in addition to Kim Dong-wook… three of my all-time faves. I couldn’t have juggled any more shows anyway, although it’s been on my to-watch list since it was announced. CROWNED CLOWN, HAECHI, and NOKDU FLOWER have been hogging my emotional bandwidth — and giving me Cast Of Thousandsitis. 😉

      I’m weirdly attached to Oh Dae-hwan too haha even if he usually plays villains or annoying sidekicks, there’s always something about his portrayal that I end up liking.

        Oh Dae-hwan caught my eye as the leader of the trio of thugs who did the fake princess’s dirty deeds in THE KING’S DAUGHTER, SOO BAEK HYANG. He’s also played a couple of memorable cops in LIFE ON MARS and ROOM NO. 9. I can’t quite put my finger on why I enjoy his acting so much. Maybe because he goes for broke. He’s a dandy supporting actor.

        Added incentive for GOD’S QUIZ: REBOOT — Kim Jae-wook’s cameo. You read that right. Heh heh heh. 😉

      I’ve been clicking on the usual notifications, which frequently (but not always) dump me in the midst of a comment thread, often nowhere near one of my own posts, so I cannot tell which comment the notification is pointing to. It makes it difficult to respond.

      We discussed this issue within the last year or so. I think you said that it was some kind of timing issue. It had been pretty okay since then, with occasional incompleted pointers. My sense is that it has become noticeably more frequent lately. Mr. P. pointed out that a lot of HTML may have to load when the system brings up the page in the browser. I only have 4 gigs of RAM, and with a bunch of tabs open, that may force the CPU to swap to disk, slowing down the the page loading so it times out before the pointer gets to its target. (At least that’s what I think he said.) This may not be a DB issue at all. Maybe I just need to have fewer tabs open when I’m posting and reading replies. 😉

      Ah ha. If I hover on a notification before clicking it, I can see my permalink number that it references, so that’s one way to see where it is supposed to point. I wonder if the URLs are getting too long because of my long username?

      In other news, I looked at my notification settings, and was mystified to see that EMAIL NOTIFICATIONS were set to DAILY. I’m surprised, because I’m almost positive that I hadn’t set it to that. I rarely check my email, and only use the web notifications, which I have assumed are displayed when I log in to DB.

      Has there been a recent change to DB’s notification system / software, perhaps with a different default than previously? Just wondering — as a reality check. 😉

      I use FireFox on Win7, and for the heck of it, logged in on Mr. P’s Win7 box via Chrome and FF — both of which displayed my stats. So then I followed @lordcobol‘s clue about ad blockers. I whitelisted DB, and voila! The stats appear again, and I’m glad to be able to allow ads but block the doggone trackers that I detest.

      Thanks for your help, Chingus! I bring these technical issues up only because other Beanies may be having similar challenges — or I might be the canary in the coalmine, and want to alert you to changes in system performance before it gets out of hand. You guys are zzang!

    FWIW, I can make her comment count, post count, etc, appear or disappear by toggling ad-blocker filters.

    Others have noted in the past that ad-blockers can make things like the “Follow” button disappear. I have in fact found that with more than one ad-blocker program, BUT, within my current blocker, all is well with the default filter list and most of the optional ones, but the filters that talk about “social media buttons” or “social media and related widgets” will disrupt DB’s display.

      My fan wall is still stuck on March 19. Only if I click on Load More, and only on Safari can I get to the present and see what the Beanies have been up to. Notifications are still messed up too.

      I’m not complaining @mary. I know you are working really hard (you are, right? You aren’t just weeping quietly over the final episodes of LIY and hoping no one notices?), but I might be whining a little bit.

      We’re doing an eps1-10 today. Then 11-12 in another post later this week. I don’t know if it will still be relevant since it’s a bit late. But the twist in ep10 made the rewatch more beautiful. So maybe those who read the spoilers in the recaps will be inspired to watch. It’s such a good show. T____T

        I usually have nothing much to comment on shows unless it’s very bad or very good. This is the type of show which keeps me thinking for days after each episode. It’s also one which rewatching brings new discoveries. Definitely not too late for recap and most importantly a place for us to pour our thoughts.

      Oh, that 🙁 It does point to your posts or your tags, it’s just that (totally our fault) the site loads too slowly. When the page first loads, it points to the spot where your notif is, but when the slow things on the page (like images, some UI effects) follow after, everything gets moved around and the page loses focus on your relevant post. T___T

      We’re working on optimizing the whole site which should solve this, but it’s a slow and unsure process. Sorry. 🙁

        Thanks for getting on to this so promptly @mary. What you say makes me wonder if the issue arises only for those posts I added emojis to. Not all posts have that problem. I’ve noticed that the emojis on DB now are no longer rendered (on my screen) the way they should. So I’ve stopped using them. Other Beanies seem to still see the emoji in colour, but I only see black and white.

        So for the time being, I’ll just use text and see how it goes. Thanks again!

          Oh… that is strange. I think the emoji you’re seeing is a slow-load version of the colored ones. Is it possible that your internet has lately slowed down a bit? That could be why you didn’t notice DB notifs are crappy before but you’re now seeing it happen. T___T

            Not sure about what kind the emojis are, but I copied them in text format and pasted them in DB. Never had an issue before the last couple of months. I thought it was a browser thing or that DB had upgraded and I was too far behind in emoji tech. Heh!

            Aah… now I think I’m figuring it out … it looks OK in the Win 10 environment. I switched computers to try and yes, I now see my emojis in colour.

            Hi Mary, initial investigation seems to suggest that you (and possibly I too) are right. Regardless of which machine I use, the Notifs go out of whack when I put in emojis. So it could be the slower load due to the emojis. Now to put in comments with and without emojis on the same thread and see if this holds true. ;-D

            You are absolutely right, @mary. With that header GIF I unknowingly violated the last rule listed and forgot to “check that douchenozzle at the door” (what commonly known as “trucknuts” to most)…. and on my first official day as a Beanie no less. That scene was one of my proudest works, but the emotional impact was undoubtedly deep for the fans of that show.
