          I almost screamed at the screen! Gash it was almost frustrating with all the deaths happenings😭 I mostly mourn Huang Song 💔, was also really scared that Tingbai would die there. So happy that he and Manting finally got together though! And her giving him a quick kiss, I clapped my hands like a seal at that 😂🤣

            Definitely heartbroken for Huang Song. I didn’t want to talk about him a lot because I don’t deal with deaths well, even fictional characters’, but my heart was just so broken for him. I keep thinking about his dreams, his family that he loved so much that he put them first before him…… And how all the boys were touched by Song’s good nature.

            Did not see hes death comeing at all so I was really shocked at first. Thought that when they took him to the hospital that there would be a fair chanse for him to pull through 😭😭😭 I was so sad so I even dreamed about him that night. I also don’t deal with death so well, it’s just to sad. Huang Song deserved the whole world, he was so precious and he meant to much to all the boys.

            Did I do almost exacly the same @wishfultoki? 😂 I was terrified that Tingbai would get killed 😭And when Xianrong did that maniac laughter I new that she had finally lost her mind completly, she was crazy!
            When realising that Yanlin survived I jumped out of joy! And squeled a lot when Tingbai and Manting kissed ❤
            Huang Song hurt me the most 💔😭 Also cried when bully Li Wenzhong did the stupid thing and died. Was even more sad when the flower girl saw his grave and did almost remember him but he had ripped out hes page from her book so she could not check it, that was just cruel💔

            And let’s not start with the florist. She came unexpectedly and broke me too. A tear fell not knowing why she was sad seeing his tomb. sniff.

    Junshan for making her run around town to meet him as Xiang Xiang and then Liangchen 😓 Just let her be! Or tell her that you know her indentity already insted of making her uncomfortable.

      Yep. We did not like Junshan around this time. He was a good contender for Xiang Xiang, but I liked that the writer made a clear stance on who she wanted to be with Xiang Xiang when it was time to choose between them. Because Junshan turned alpha with her, it made us realize that Yanzhen loved her for who she was without asking her to change for him. He confessed his feelings to her twice along with such a grandiose displays of his affection, but never once did he go behind her back and plot against to make her come to him.

      I also like that even if Junshan made her squirm, she had managed to get the โ€œnoโ€ out when he asked to date her. She never rejected Yanzhen 😏

      And Xiaojun, bless her heart, for speaking the words Xiang Xiang couldnโ€™t say out loud to us – she is scared of Junshan courting her because she loves Yanzhen Thank you best girlfriend. Thank you. 💘

        I was a little scared that she would choose Junshan tbh😭 but so relieved that she didn’t. I did not like it at all how he turned alpha and only started to care more for her when he realised she was a girl. Yanzhen really loves her for who she is, it’s so beautiful. Also really like that Yanzhen never goes behind her back and plotting like Junshan did.

        Agreed, but also who can really reject Yanzhen? 😏😏 So happy that she is comfortable enough to express how she feels around Yanzhen and just to fully be herself around him.

        Yes! Xiaojun is a really good friend, wish I could be friends with her too. ❤ Really loved their talk this episode, thank you Xiaojun for helping Xiang Xiang to realise her true feelings ❤❤❤

          So happy that she is comfortable enough to express how she feels around Yanzhen and just to fully be herself around him.

          I really loved it, Purpleink. All those times they were โ€œfight flirtingโ€, training together, their happy and troubled times, his heartfelt confession, and whatever happened in their dorm behind closed doors that we were not privy to, they all built up and turned into good memories for Xiang Xiang. She reminisced all those times in episode 38, and Iโ€™ve got to admit I had tears seeing how those moments with Yanzhen became beautiful memories for her. I was totally a goner. 💘

            Now I’m more sad over all the otp scenes that did not make it to the drama 😭 I also had tears in my eyes wathing her remembering all those moments with Yanzhen, one could just feel her love and fondness of him then. It’s so well done I’m amazed. They just fit togehter so well ❤

    Amazing episode, wasnโ€™t it? 😆 It took a while, but so worth it to see her realization that she needed Yanzhen in her life because she loved him. Life is just not the same anymore without him. He brings her comfort with all his crazy, wild shenanigans. 🥰 She was her most self when she was with him. And she missed him and found herself lonely and alone without him.

      Yes it was a really good episode! One could really see and feel how much she missed him when she was in the empty new room😭 Loved that Yanzhen went out to look after the button the threw away after he got to know she changes rooms💔 And when she saw him and she found it and gash..😭😭

        Yanzhenโ€™s character continues to amaze me. Seriously. He is a goofy most times, but we saw that he too has a limit and Xiang Xiang really pushed his button this time. He ended up screaming at her because she was not responding when he asked her questions again, he even threw out that token that was so special to him, and he was letting her go one more time. His love for her really took a toll on him.

        His emotions were one big mess that day and so high that once he had calm down, he regretted throwing out that precious token from her. 😭 And Iโ€™m glad Xiang Xiang finally saw how serious he was with his feelings for her. It was never a joke to begin with. *Cue OST* Iโ€™m grateful in this life. I have you with me 😭

          Was really suprised when he yelled at her, did not expect that at all. But it’s understandable. I admire him for letting her go and not forcing himself on her, he really respects Xiang Xiang. When Yanzhen threw out the button I acually gasped out load, thinking he would regret it (which he did).

          I’m also glad that Xiang Xiang was the one who found it, 13infamyss. And then when the ost started to play my heart just broke for them 💔😭 So happy that she finally starts to realise how real Yanzhens feeling acually are ❤😭😭😭

            Manting is very very stubborn. As she said to Tingbai in episode 31, she wouldnโ€™t stop until she got what she wanted. By pushing she thought sheโ€™d eventually get Yanzhen. But sheโ€™ll grow up too and realize that there are some things just arenโ€™t meant for her 😏

      At first I thought she lied just so she could have a reason to meet him, and then got sad when I realised that it was true 😭 And the reason for her not to celebrate made me even more sad. Tingbai is a real gentleman, so kind and caring of her. Please Manting, notice Tingbai! 😭😭💔

        I thought so too hehe. To be fair though, Gu Yanzhen told her clearly that he wasnโ€™t coming, so she brought that upon herself. She invited the wrong guy. Tingbai would have been there in a heartbeat if only she had thought of him. 😢

            @azzo1 This is a very subjective perspective from me as I do not enjoy period dramas. Fantasy period drama, no less.

            So theyโ€™re cute but I still go back to Arsenal. 😅 Xu Kaiโ€™s role here is the son of a great demon who pines for Bai Luโ€™s character like Yanzhen! But heโ€™s very reserved in this drama. And Bai Lu is this badass demoness leading a pact, but she lost her mortal body and currently needs help from this woman from another pact. Iโ€™m stuck on episode 17 because I keep rewatching Arsenal lol.

            @13infamyss I love historical dramas but as I already said before, this is my first ever Chinese show so I’m a little hesitant to go for historical fantasy but I’ll give it a try, for the OTP alone!

            @azzo1 yeah I have never seen a period C-Drama as well (except Arsenal), so Iโ€™m still trying to get used to the setting and plot of The Legends. Lots of people online say that basically The Legends fulfilled all those desires we couldnโ€™t say out loud and complain about because we knew what Arsenal was about and that what they deprived us of 😅😅

          @wishfultoki is right, I had a headache after binging this show because of him and I couldn’t even see myself in the mirror. Should’ve looked half like him if he appears this way being hungry and tired from traveling.

            Yes I also keep going back to few of his scenes. Ep 6 bar scene is the one for me. He has so much fun teasing Xiang about her twin sister that he knows doesn’t exist. Plus yes all Gu Yanzhen spam is needed.

            Yep this was def one of the toughest arcs to get through in the show. OTP was separated too long and I missed them so much.

          I have to admit – I did not see this on my first watch. It wasnโ€™t until I saw the BTS of the forest scene that I was so shookt to see Gu Yanzhen in his pajammies in the forest!!! With her! I was like I did not see him there! So I went and checked – yep – my eyes skipped his face 😰😰
