I find the earnestness of the clown king character really annoying. It\’s too much and frankly very cringe worthy. I wonder if it\’s also a byproduct of YJG\’s acting.

I really hope that the clown can worm his way into my heart, because I love the king way too much. I think watching this will be hard if I\’m not able to change my allegiance. It\’s like watching Go Hyun Jung as a villain all over again. So bad, that it\’s good.

    Me too. I also love the king. But I feel like he’s gonna be just like Dog Shin from Are You Human Too – all sharp edges and wasted potential for character development…

    To be fair, I love them both already. I can’t help but giggle with the way Haseon was playing king by himself. He’s got this dorky charm. And when he was happy enough to pick those fallen hazelnuts as present fpr his sister. But then my heart also goes out to the king, who may be ruthless, but his situation in the palace certainly didn’t help his mentality. And I appreciate how he didn’t force himself on the queen. He’s messed up but Yi Heon knows consent. I approve.

    Nooo please continue!!! What I like about Fuheng and Yingluo is their mutual respect for one another. I don’t want to spoil the story, but I really like how strong and tough Yingluo is, even if it can be quite unrealistic how she survives her life in the palace.

I just jumped into watching ep 13 of #MamaFairy even though I stopped watching at ep 1. This is new. All I can say is that Seo Ji Hoon is very powerful.

    I was planning to ask if any of the new Japanese dramas on Viki were good. Though the most interesting looking one to me is Frankenstein’s Love.

      This one was a good family drama with a little bit of romance, wish there was more because I love the pairing. Has all the Japanese quirkiness but keeps its realism. It’s not perfect because it does get bogged down a bit with the family drama but it was good.

        I’ve actually never watched a Japanese drama before (just anime, but I’m sure those are quite different). Do you have any recommendations out of the ones on Viki or maybe Netflix?

          Can’t help you much with a rec. I only have two I recommend. “Nodame Cantabile” and it’s subsequent movies, you can watch on crunchyroll. And this one.

          I have only watched a few Japanese dramas, but Overprotected Kahoko is such a heart warming gem!
          There are not too many J-drama options on Viki in my region (US). If you like noona romance, I enjoyed the new Kimi Wa Petto (2017). My favorite Japanese drama is We Married As a Job (Nigeru wa Haji da ga Yaku ni Tatsu) and it is worth seeking out!

I watched the first ep of Prison Playbook then proceeded to watch the last ep. Haha I just couldn\’t. I needed to know the ending before investing too much emotions into the characters. Yet I was bawling like a baby even though I jumped 14 eps.
