    Lang Wang Ji had the upmost respect for Lang Xi Chen. He even calls him older brother in the most respectful way in the drama.

    Lang Xi Chen knows Lang Wang Ji best. Thanks to him, we get the reveal of their childhood and the reason for Lang Zhan’s scars in the drama. This lead to the beautiful Thank you and I’m sorry scene in episode 43. ♥️♥️♥️

    In those lonely years growing up and the 13 yrs during which WWX disappeared, I think Lan Xi Chen was the only one who knew what his younger brother was going through.

Lan Zhan is a man of few words and expressions. Despite that, there is no question he is in love with Wei Ying. In their relationship, Wei Ying does all the talking. I still want to see a faithful adaptation of the Guanyin Temple arc/scene someday. 😂 That’s why I’m really grateful for this moment in the drama. This is as close as we can get to a verbal declaration of love from Lan Zhan.

I love the drama because even though it didn’t fully dive into BL and some changes were made, I feel like the characters, story and dialogue stayed true to the novel. I’m not sure if a faithful drama adaptation would work but #TheUntamed is a very worthy adaptation.

    I think it’s more than worthy. While the novel and anime had more stories and ‘action’, the actors brought this character to life. If I were a fan of MDZS, I would love it.

    This has always been one of my favorite scenes. LZ is willing to give up his reputation and become an outcast for WWX. Which is a big deal as he had always been proud of being the upright one. Even when WWX is trying to protect him by saying he knew nothing, LZ doesn’t hesitate by saying he knew he was WWX and stands with him against all the clans. ❤️

    I would have been so happy to be of service, although I probably would not have been very useful since it would be hard to hear what they are saying through all that SCREAMING!!! Mine included 🤣🤣🤣

    So sad that the organizer decided not to stream the event for all of us international fans, but so glad that the show is receiving so much love!! Thai fans, we love you!!

        I wonder if it is because in addition to how it is fitting and deeply moving to the context of the story, the fact that in this drama we have two male leads and that greatly diminishes the gender power imbalance that is often a trigger for women viewers like me.

          That’s exactly it for me. When a guy does it to a woman it’s typically a very dominate and possessive move. I got pissed in Hotel Del Luna where you have this super powerful woman and her wrist is still getting grabbed by the man.

          But when the gender norms are twisted like in this drama then I find it sexy (or in this scene it was beautiful).

Nope. Not over it yet. At least, not anytime soon. 😅
Mo Dao Zu Shi (Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation) and Chen Qing Ling (The Untamed) fans are very lucky in that we can enjoy the story in so many ways. I’m currently on Chapter 85 of the novel. After reading the novel, I’m planning to watch the audio drama then the donghua (animé) and then read the manhua (graphic novel). My fujoshi heart is full! 🤭

The viewership ratings and director’s comments make me sad. But you do need to have certain experiences to better appreciate this drama. I hope he won’t feel disheartened in telling stories he wants to tell just because the audience for it is few. Praying more people will discover this show in the future! #BeMelodramatic #MeloSuitsMe

    I am not yet thirty, but my friend calls me an old woman, guess I relate very well to these women, I even related to grannies in a show and my best friend is a 50 year old ahjussi, I think the director is also like that but most of the people are not like this, I found out to my horror and he as well, poor him. But he will figure it out, but I hope he makes more such shows for people like us. I can watch a lot more.
