    Li Xian is such a great actor. He’s able to deliver such great performance of a guy pining for a woman when she’s not looking, but completely rejects when she’s around. That scene at the airport; I want to hate Gun so much, but the look he gives as he watches from afar making sure she gets on the right taxi was so painfully good.

    And that escalator scene. Auugh. He is not okay because he is so stupid, but I ache for him. A lot.

        I’m so glad to hear it. I can’t really appreciate the quality of the translation (since I don’t speak or read Chinese) so it’s good to know the author approves <3. The writer of the blog is so nice too. I really love all the footnotes she took the time to incorporate. Such a wonderful detail.

I’m going to just take a moment to appreciate Ha Jae Sook who plays Yeo-Woong in My Absolute Boyfriend. Not only is this woman absolutely stunning (that bone structure and those cheekbones are TO DIE FOR) but she almost make me cry this last episode with her whole speech about being a real woman and letting the man she loves go. Dramagod,s please give her a lead role, and Oscar and a modelling career.

      I’m with you. 100%. It makes a lot of sense that his character would nobly die to protect the woman he loves but… really? In the dark, with no witnesses, no grand gestures, literally minutes before his grandfather is exposed for his crimes? I… thought he deserved better.

    I don’t remember the details but I do remember being pretty upset about the ending. The leads got together but what about the Prince’s friends? The one is dead and the other is supposed to be dead so they can’t hang out either. He’d even said in one of the childhood flashbacks that he thought he could be a good king if he had his friends by his side but now what? His friends are gone 😭

    If I had to describe this look, I’d say it’s Betty Grable in the Jazz age had a baby on Mars with a retired golf caddy. I like all of this thing separately. Together, they confuse me.
