Today is the 6th day, as in, Day6
So let me share one of my favorite Day6 song, that I think is one of my favorite expressions of love:

When you love someone 그렇더라고요
Though this song was sung in Korean, I have repeated this too many times that I understand the first line:
오늘 많이 힘들었던 하루였죠
“Today was a hard day, isn’t it?”

It’s not a question of how your day went, how are you, or why are you sad, are you tired?
It does not demand an answer from you, nor does not ask you to explain your pain.
It acknowledges it. It acknowledges that you are having a hard time, you are weary, that you had a long day and so it does not need anything more from you. And sometimes, that is all what we need.

So this song, for me, gives a sense of comfort

Like a warm meal waiting for you at the table

A warm bed ready for you to tuck you in

A pet that happily greets you

A playlist accompanying you home

An episode you downloaded ready to be watched

    We start the drama with a high school girl playing Wu Bai’s Last Dance in the 32nd store.
    – A series of scenes depicting a memory, (for those that watch up to the latest eps: its memories of both the 98 timeline and the 10, almost as if CYR and HYX’s memories are intertwined to create a sequence of memory of her and Greg)
    – Aww. The two of you is #Relationship Goals.
    – HYX woke up from the dream, only to turn into a nightmare of WQS putting locks all over their apartment. Locking her in, imprisoning her with their memories. And then she finally woke up
    – App review: “Finding your look-a-like in the world” (well that’s a mouthful) how the app work: upload a photo, add some simple information, and voila, another person who looked like (they said, there are seven people who look like each other, so anyone seen Greg in their neighborhood?)
    – We finally got an understanding what happened with Huang Yu Xuan and her boyfriend Wang Quan Sheng, he died two year ago through the plane crash, and even if it was already two year, she seems to not have moved on
    – Just because she post in social media often, and seemingly living a normal life, or that her words does not explicitly say she is longing, her posts are all connected to her memories with WQS, the bus she takes is the same bus her and WQS used to ride during her college days, completely different route form her office, she eats alone and taking picture of her eating, echoing the times she and WQS video calling each other while eating their respective lunches, and even before going home, though she does not plan on buying a drink, she will always stay at the spot where WQS always wait for her. All of her actions point to her waiting and hoping for WQS to suddenly appear before her sight, to comeback to her, and maybe through her post, WQS can see, she is still waiting for him.
    – On a café somewhere, we a man scrolling through her post, a man with glasses and a scar and wearing a wedding band. A man that looks like the deceased WQS (but hotter, I like this hair on her)
    – They went to a supposedly animal whisperer to find the dog of their co-worker. The Dog whisperer said she saw Jesus while looking for the dog, not impressed, HYX try her out, to find a link to the ‘dog’, she needs a picture, and HYX showed her a picture of a dog and her, the name of the dog Xiao Wang (Little Wang), the dog whisperer asked who took the photo because she said that through the photo she felt a very strong, very deep emotion. WQS took that photo. (aww, she’s sad again)
    – The animal

      – The animal whisperer said, that the Dog, Xiao Wang, loved HYX so much, and he did not mean to leave her but he has no other choice, and that he is still waiting for her, ‘ He’s been waiting for you to take him home’
      – So how to find him? Consulting a stuffed tiger, she said ‘32’, when she saw someone passed by with a 32 numbered jersey (I’d say she’s a total wack, but after ep 8? Hmmm)
      – They found the dog after searching the street, and they found it under a Jesus poster, she may not be a total wack after all
      – On the way home, thinking back to the conversation they had with the psychic, she board bus 32, clearly out of her route, scolding herself for being fooled, she decided to get off, and saw someone that looks like her dead lover, but he’s limping (its our man in the café), she tried to follow him, but he was gone.
      – She returned home, she texted WQS number, asking if he was the person she saw. She said he needs to come clean and she will count to three, but only after two, he still did not appear.
      – We go the first scene, of a HS girl listening raptly to her music and two boys adorably watches her grooving to the music. This is Chen Yu Ru, Li Zi Wei and Mo Jun Jie
      – I don’t know how to recap this part, let me just comment, what a wing man you are Li Zi Wei, but your smiles and flirtatious smirk is the reason why Chen Yun Ru fell for you. Don’t blame her. Don’t blame me too.
      – And MJJ you should’ve been more forthcoming about your crush, your actions are standard Second male lead, sweet smile, shy looks and a good boy
      – Aahhh, cassettes, I caught up with you when you were a dying industry, but how apt they used this as symbol right, when a song end, you just cant press replay, but rewind the whole thing and start it all over again.
      – Was this a dream? Because we went back to HYX crying while sleeping or maybe she dreamed of something else that still involved WQS, just what she texted to that number again
      – News report of another airline failure, the same airline that crashed 2 years ago while on the way to shanghai
      – Its HYX birthday today, and Kun Bu, her friend, ask her to a karaoke tonight. And while on the 20th floor whilst riding an elevator it opened on her 20th birthday that she celebrated with WQS, and as she went up, she reminisced all her surprise birthdays with him, up until the 25th. (how can someone move on from this really?) on the 26th floor the door opened revealing nothing: Narration: ‘After we started dating, you told me you would never missed my birthday, but last year you missed it… what about his year? Will you miss …???’ door opened, she saw WQS look-alike, with a cane, limping, carrying a paper bag. She tried to follow, but he was gone.
      – She was on that building for a meeting, but upon entering the company, something was left to her, a brown paper bag, identical to the doppelgänger. Inside was a cake, the same cake she received since she turned 19.

        – She received a phone call from WQS mother, saying they need to hold a funeral even if after 2 years, his body was still not recovered, but the family think its time to just let him move one peacefully. And for her to also do the same. (breaking the news on her birthday though. Hm)
        – She’s breaking apart again. So lets sing karaoke and drown our sorrows girl. Trying so hard to be happy, must be the most tiring thing to do.
        – 1st wish: for everyone to do well and get bonus
        – 2nd wish: everyone stays happy and healthy
        – 3rd wish (the secret one) another flashback:
        – WQS: make sure to keep the third wish secret.
        – HYX: why? Is it because a wish that you don’t say out loud has a better chance of coming true?
        – WQS: a wish that you don’t say out loud… doesn’t necessarily have a better chance of coming true. Rather, even if the wish doesn’t come true, you wont feel hurt because of it.
        – HYX: in other words, the wish you most want to come true, but also the one with the least likelihood of coming true?
        – At 27: her silent 3rd wish: that after blowing out the candles, WQS will appear before her.
        – But of course, he did not.
        – (Being alone after a party is also sad isn’t it?)
        – In her solitariness, she scroll through her feed, watching videos, pictures, depicting a happier times in the past, well it’s a video of her being annoyed by the petty pranks of WQS.
        – Then she saw a like from VICKY!! (lol) she liked all her post, now suspicious, she called one of WQS closest friends to confirm her suspicion, if anyone knew who Vicky was and if he was having an affair with her. But no one knew her, until the infamous Chen something (sorry cant recall) who used to be a very rakish
        – So in the morning she wanted to know who Vicky was. While Chen was adamant of her just letting it go since it was 2 years ago. And assured her that WQS wasn’t cheating on her. But for her, maybe confirming her suspicion will ease her pain a little. That maybe WQS didn’t really love her that much, then maybe she could stop loving him too much. And to finally stop missing him too much.
        – But turned out, Vicky was just a proposal planner. (I wont go on the details how he was supposed to propose)
        – But this was a blow to HYX, knowing that WQS is planning to propose. Her move to shanghai made him think to that, because she was breaking up with him, he was not having any of it. Her argument was valid, what if he followed her to shanghai and, in the end, regretted it?
        – WQS: all these years, I’ve never regretted it. And I wont in the future either.
        – HYX: how would you know that?
        – WQS: because I know, the only thing I’ve regretted in my life, was letting you leave me.
        – Him proposing was not to stop her from going to shanghai, but to have a status to stay by her side. im bleeding
        – But as we know, no proposal happened, he tried following her to shanghai, and it was the last of what we see from WQS

          – On the drive back, her car (WQS old car) broke down, and remembering about the proposal, she searched for the ring, and found it buried on the backseat.( im bleeding again. Once again, how do you move on from that?
          – Her car is too old, that the parts are almost obsolete. But she’s resolute to have it fixed.
          – Update: the app is updated now!
          – If there’s another version of her living in the world, there must be another WQS too! ( yes! Find me another Greggie)
          – She uploaded a picture of WQS, and found a picture of three people. ( Yeah, we know who they are. ) And while asking who they are, guess what? Wu Bai’s last dance played on the radio, creepy. Lol
          – And we returned back to the past, and they introduced themselves. Its Li Zi Wei, not Wang Quan Sheng, its Chen Yun Ru not Huang Xu Yuan

          I have to say though, as I was reading I realized a lot of nuances of this show can’t be just described, they have to be seen for the full experience.

    Agree with @maybemaknae here when she said this was a symbolism that Wang Quan Sheng’s death had imprisoned her. Unable to get out of that state of being and mind….

      yeah that dream is telling us she feels left behind, as if he left her on purpose & locked her in place. She feels like she can’t move on even if she wants to, her self is imprisoned in their memories.

      Her dreams are scary to her, because they are so real yet crazy that because of them she couldn’t decide if the time travelling that was happening to her was another lucid dream.

of me waking up one day, somehow melancholic, just staring at the window, a state auntie found me, she held my hands and slowly said that you have passed away.
I honestly do not remember what happened next, all I know was you were gone, you were put into a coffin, me going to school in the morning and staying at the funeral at night
My memories of you are few, you worked away sacrificing time for family so that you can provide, but I want to remember how you smell like, but all I can remember is the smell of hospital and medicine, I want to remember how you sound like, but all I can hear are your groans of pain and your faint voice asking for water, I want to remember your warmth, but on your last days, you could not even move.
The only image you have left in my mind is the picture they used in your funeral, faintly smiling, it’s a cropped picture of us when I was accepting my honors, so I will hold on to that.
If my ideal type is modeled after you Papa, then he must be the best thing a girl could ask for, though I will pray he will stay longer.
Nevertheless, I know you are in heaven, finally resting and happy, bringing our prayers closer to God, looking down, still with that faint proud smile.
