I realized while watching Radio Romance that I‘m really in the mood for tropey, formulaic plots these days. I guess sometimes you really just crave the familiarity of an old school drama. 😌 Any drama recommendation here?
I have no recommendations but I was watching Attention, Love last week or so and there was a back hug and multiple piggy back rides. I don’t know if I’m watching the wrong dramas, if the back hug and piggy back rides in the recent dramas haven’t been super memorable….or if they just haven’t been happening as frequently. For my part, the back hug, the piggy back ride (and yes), the wrist grab were some of the earliest kdrama things that I learned to recognize. I miss them when I don’t see them (even while recognizing that some of them are problematic).
Yes, I think so. At first, I was thinking that his friend might have only been seriously injured and that friend went on to become a doctor (ie. Jason). I thought that was why JSH kept Jason around even though he is so annoying. But after the last episode they made it pretty clear that the friend did actually die.
Oh ok.
Yeah he died… but somehow I get the feeling that Jason and Su ho’s manager are connected to this history/mystery.
I did not expect Jason to go all evil on us though! Is there hope that he just has a weird laughter? *please!* 😨
I was wondering who it could be, but then heard that psycho laugh and so I wondered if he’s just completely bonkers lol
I hope not, I love him so <3
(although who am I kidding, even if he's a psycho who wants to mess with SH, I'm still gonna love him)
I think we didn’t have any laugh out loud rom com since Jealousy Incarnate and partially Weight lifting fairy. Radio Romance is teying the conventional rom com route but there is hardly any comedy there. I miss them too these days with so many serious shows on air.
I can‘t believe I am still so disappointed even though I knew what will happen with Han Yang (I spoilered myself last week) and was just counting the minutes for ‚it‘ to happen!
Watching just enough but not too much so you don‘t run out of WPL episodes until the new ones are translated while also sneaking around the fan wall trying to avoid spoilers is such a tiring process
In my head I keep telling myself : ‘Step Away From The Wall’ in my best police officer imitation voice. Not working – evidently. It seems a long wait till Tuesday…
I can‘t believe I‘m already at episode 11 of Prison Playbook. Somewhere between ep. 3 and 5 my investestment shot from 1 to 1000 and now I‘m struggling to slow down until all episodes are out. 🤦🏽♀️
THIS IS SO ME. I just found myself at the end of episode 10 before 2018 ended. I binged everything in two days. I couldn’t believe myself. They just latched onto my heart!
Hwayugi makes me want to rewatch My Girlfriend is a Gumiho even though I have tons of new shows I haven‘t touched yet and my last rewatch was like in September 🤦🏽♀️
hahahah everytime Sohn Oh Gong goes in action, I imagine Dae Woong (LSG’s character in MGIAG) doing it xD As if Dae Woong is in the drama, not LSG hahaha, there’s this specific pose which reminds me everytime lol
I love it! Hahaha. Or she could be one of the stunt people (assuming everything the show still allowed her to have her powers back), so they could have a reason to be together during work hours.
It would be so meta if LSG did a cameo as that character ~ say DAE Woong is now contracted with Ma Wang, one of the few human entertainers because he’s used to supernatural shenanigans
LMAO I‘m glad I‘m not the only one looking for wimpy Woongah in Son Oh Gong. A cameo with Shin Min Ah as a „fox demon“ would be so hilarious!! I‘m already wondering where she would be on the demons hierarchy 😄
Yessss, I totally imagine the same thing all the time, haha, what with Dae-woong being an action star! That and the rooftop room looks so similar to the one from MGIAG.
So I‘m totally the kind of person who could venture in a frustrating 2 hours google quest to find a specific drama OST and end up with nothing (let‘s say..ahem like right now). So big question: Is there this one big website that I just haven‘t come across or do all beanies go through this painstaking process? 😅
If the song or instrumental is nowhere to be found, my sister somehow converts drama scenes or trailers into mp3 (don’t ask me about the technology involved, I have no idea). This has the interesting result that sometimes it includes bits of conversations or other noises. I can’t listen to the Moon Lovers OST now without hearing Wang So go ‘don’t come near me ever again’ and Hae Soo ‘I just want to survive, is that so wrong?’
Lol I did this a few times too but these conversation bits in the middle would always get me out of the moment. But in this case I‘ve been replaying the scene where hyung learns of Cho Dal Po‘s real identity non-stop I might as well convert it into mp3 ^^
I could’ve sworn that a couple of our fellow Beanies mentioned not so long ago, that there is a site that lists all ost’s. I wish I could remember what it was!!
I need to start writing some of this stuff down. 📝

The (anti-) hero is volatile and slightly unhinged but in an engaging way and there were scenes which were decidedly shocking compared to to the tame dramas of these days. It’s so different. How come characters these days are all so cookie-cutter and predictable and nobody dares to do some risque choices in their dramas anymore?? Maybe I‘m watching the wrong dramas?
