    Drama writers are quick to respond to world events, and since the avian flu (H5N1), and then SARS, experts knew that more strands would eventually come up… From that to getting an evil corporation to manipulate corona to get a bio-weapon, is only a (drama) logical step.       Plus, I’m sure after SARS and MERS there was probably a lot more discussion of what an even worse strain could look like or how it could be used as a weapon especially in S. Korea and that part of the world.
