OK Beanies _ Who has watched Arsenal Military Academy?

I am watching it now and am loving it and even though I adore Bai Lu and Xu Kai together, I need need need need need for Bai Lu and Toby Lee to be in a drama together as the OTP. Like, I guess it’s a testament to writer of the original story and the show that the leads are GREAT and that you can’t just go wrong with whichever romantic partner you choose. But it really makes my life as a viewer difficult LOL.

      Lol this is a trap to get me sucked into spoilers !!!! but lol, I love the love I’m seeing. It’s a shame the drama had to cut out some parts but I am enjoying what I am watching. I was on the fence about starting it but am so glad I did. 😭

    RE: OTP talk – this is interesting. In one of latest azzo’s posts we were just talking about having SLS on Junshan and how beanies got over it eventually. While the writer shows two amazing boys for Xiang Xiang, in the end the writer would pick a side and will show its audience why they had made that choice.

    FYI – Toby Li is going to be in a modern drama with Bai Lu next year but he’s second lead again! 💔

      I’m sure. I’m still at the point where XX/LC doesn’t really have feelings for anyone but she does notice the two very eligible bachelors in her life. I don’t have SLS per say but I can see how the two would make a great couple and it just makes me wish the actors had their own show. At this point, I’d be on board with any ship even Man Ting x Yan Zhen. They all have wonderful chemistry.

        Hang in there for a few episodes, You’ll get some clarity and be satisfied with the ship the writer chooses. I guess one major thing that lead to SLS in this show is Junshan and Xiang having more scenes than Yanzhen and Xiang.

          Lol, I think I’m being misunderstood. I’m already satisfied BUT the other ship also satisfies me. This is my problem lmao. D’: And honestly I love the Shen bros a lot so I don’t want to see their hurt faces, I will weep.

            I consider this drama an ensemble cast. Each character has a story to tell. So you’ll see more of him very soon and fall for him more. 😉

        Xiang Xiang definitely won’t make it easy for Yanzhen to win her, so hang tight and you’re in for roller coaster ride! 😀 The actors here are such natural playing their role. I heard that Xu Kai used to be green in acting in his early drama, but he is a natural here that I can’t imagine anyone else playing Gu Yanzhen.

      I never had SLS for this show, I was already in love with Gu Yanzhen even before starting AMA (I blame it on your posts, LOL).

        Lol, I actually am familiar with Xu Kai and Bai Lu from The Legends and really like them, but I had a hard time getting into that one and wanted to watch more of them so I tried this show out and I’m much more into AMA.

          I tried to watch The Legends after AMA to keep the Bai Lu/Xu Kai loveship sailing, but that show was just… not my thing.

        Huehehhehe I paid it forward azzo! This drama was no where near my radar. I checked out the early episodes cuz of Gu Yanzhen, then stalled cuz there’s not much romance according to a lot of comments I read, but Gu Yanzhen’s face still kept popping up on my YouTube and Twitter when I was not looking him up! It was fate. Gu Yanzhen wanted to trap me in this crazy obsession. And it worked. Bad Gu Yanzhen!

          Haha I love the winks. There are not enough cheeky/fun male leads in dramas so he’s great. I enjoy his bumbling earnestness. Though he is crazy! But where else would you find a guy who would purposefully get thrown in a water ditch just so he can catch a cold in the hopes of you buying him porridge?

    Ah, AMA! It’s going to be such a fun ride, you’ll enjoy it, I promise!
    Also, I’m kind of envious of you for it being your first watch, you get to watch the characters and fall for them for the first time.. nothing beats that feeling!

      I’ve been in such a drama slump so I was not expecting much but I really like it tho I’m waiting for things to get super serious due to all the politics.

        Don’t worry to much about it, it will always balance the serious stuff with some fun, and it works just perfect for this show!

    I just wish Toby Lee would have some new drama that would be screened and translated, his resume isn’t that great, not much to feast your eyes on 🙁
