Premiere Watch: Marry YOU
by missvictrix
Time slot: Saturday-Sunday
Broadcaster: Channel A
Genre: Rom-com
Episode count: 12
Global streamer: Netflix, Kocowa
Reasons to watch: Aren’t we spoiled — we’ve got Lee Yi-kyung in the currently airing Face Me, and he’s also starring in this wacky-looking rom-com. Way to flex your range, oppa. In Marry YOU, our hero is an island bachelor who’s not exactly prime marriage material. He can do anything his village might require, but for some reason marriage seems out of his reach (#relatable). But his adorable little niece and nephew have other plans, and their matchmaking scheme gets a workout. I know it’ll be cute, but will it be the right brand of hilarious? Honestly, I will be happy if this is just a Lee Yi-kyung vehicle where he can do his thing, so come what may.
TL;DR: Lee Yi-kyung takes the lead in a silly rom-com and I am here for it .

Ah, an
idealisland 🏝 bachelor!! Where can I get one of those!? 🧐😂Looks like Lee Yi-kyung's Marry ×2 dramas at the beginning and fag end of the year are at opposite ends of the spectrum. I'm here for this. 🙋♀️
Please be good. 🙏🏻

I love the whole writeup of this post - #relatable indeed 😂😅🙃 Well, I adore Lee Yi-kyung in comedy and am also hoping that whatever else this drama does, it let's him do what he does best!

Not to beat the Kocowa drum yet again (lol) but you can watch Marry You for free on Kocowa for the first 24 hours each episode is released. Click the TASTE24HOUR link just to the right of the logo on the upper left of the screen. Just checked and the first episode is available now.

Is this the first time that a K-drama is getting new eps uploaded to Netflix immediately after the network airing but is not labeled as a Netflix Series? Usually it’s the non-Korean stuff that gets this treatment.

Lee Yi-Kyung can play so many parts well: smart & serious, fool, goofball...he is amazing. Looking forward to watching this!
