A very fun revenge-fantasy drama, ft. a badass FL and angsty/puppy dog ML. Lots of plot holes but if you just shut your brain off for a bit, you'll enjoy it. Surprisingly good romance & chemistry for a drama that's more about demons brutally killing sinners.

Judge from Hell
This show was a surprise in a very good way. Fantasy comedy, (Fan-Com?) is not my favored genre. I wasn’t expecting much as the other Demon show this year was pretty but forgetful.

Were there plot holes? Yup
Was the writing deep and insightful? Nope
Was there too much gore and violence? Probably
Was it a masterpiece? Ummm, No

Despite all of that:
- This was the show I looked forward too the most every week
- It was wildly entertaining from start to finish with a great mix of badassery with a pinch of vulnerability
- It never lost its identity
- Park Shin-Hye totally slayed her role
- Shin Sung-Rok totally slayed his role
- The character archs were predictable but satisfying
- It just felt great with a simple story of good triumphing over evil and sometimes being bad is really good
- I wish we got a little bit more of the brilliant Oh Na-Ra
- I’m craving Z cola. You mean to tell me this wasn’t Product Placement
- If you are wondering if you should watch this - the answer is a definite yes

This is a surprisingly fun and funny supernatural fantasy drama that can sometimes be campy but is always entertaining. The plot and worldbuilding has some holes but overall, this is a great drama for its genre and keeps it light even though it does tackle subjects such as domestic abuse as the FL gads about punishing sinners.

Last but not least, Park Shin-Hye delivers a scenery-chewing performance here that is not to be missed!

This drama is about repentance. I'm not sure how or why, but it was clear that the theme was, in the shows moral logic, that it isn't somehow necessary for there to be justice for victims to forgive (indeed this is somehow beside the point). Instead, real justice hinges on the perpetrator feeling--sometimes quite literally--the weight of their bad behavior and having them feel painfully repentant.

If you enjoy watching an old-school eye-for-an-eye approach to justice played out with awkward romance between two people who truly don't share a value system....this show is for you!

Your ending paragraph is very intriguing and very daunting at the same time!
