Drama viewership ratings for the week of July 22-28, 2024

Even though we now have a Monday-Tuesday drama — and the promise of many premieres in the coming month — that doesn’t help the *crickets* we had this week (and can expect next week) in light of the Olympics, with broadcast network shows Good Partner and Beauty and Mr. Romantic taking a hiatus.

In the meantime, Serendipity’s Embrace had itself a nice premiere, Good Partner keeps roaring along, and our weekend cable shows continue to rule the weekend.

Other than Sweet Mobster and The Auditors here..I don't think there is much I can look forward too, as Red Swan is also ending this Wednesday. In the meantime, I am going to rewatch Save the Last Dance For Me (Ji Sung and Lee Bo Young) and Hotelier (Bae Yong Jun)

The 12.1% for Good Partner makes me worried about how it will get by after the hiatus (with a flood of dramas coming next August at that.). A poor decision on SBS part. And it might have been better to not show any episodes this week rather than have one single episode and affect the rhythm.

I agree with you about the questionable wisdom of a single episode for GOOD PARTNER.

When I was in Seoul last year, it was during the Asian Games. There was no such thing as counterprogramming; all three networks showed sports events all the time.

If so, then perhaps it might have been better to postpone the airing date like what MBC did with Black Out.

And KBS with Perfect Family.

At least the hiatus with our weekender made dramatic sense- we were clearly being set up to commence a new chapter for our story. This break becomes a natural one as a result.

That being said, as much as I love the Olympics, gee whiz.

My Sweet mobster deserves to break 3 for the final week jebal🙏🏾.
I wonder if the Auditors will match Miss night and day.
I wonder if Serendipity’s embrace will be able to maintain and or build on the ratings in the dreaded Monday/Tuesday slot.

That 7.789% episode 8 rating for THE AUDITORS is the series high. It seems THE AUDITORS may have found its audience at around 7 percent.
I am enjoying THE AUDITORS but like other corporate/business based dramas it gives the impression that the entire city of Seoul is totally engrossed on the inner workings of this construction company. In reality most Seoul folks probably wouldn’t give ……..
