I really have not watched that many dramas this year. I'd get a few more beans if I go back and finish the last eps of some which I might do if the mood strikes.

I think overall Hospital Playlist was my favorite of the year. Definitely a case of the right drama at the right time. Who knew when in lovkdown because of a pandemic this Hospital would fill like the warmest and safest place?
Also I love love love the friendships. Really all the different relationships that fill this show.
And the music. So good.
I'm sure it can be nit picked a part and wouldn't be to everyone's taste, but im just going to love it. It gave me exactly what I needed from it when I needed it.
And a shout out the the actors but especially our core group. They really created something special.

The only two dramas that I sat through without fastforwarding were A Couple's World and My Dangerous Wife. There is a third and it's ongoing. Irresistibly Indifferent. #@leetennantForBestActress2020

I've watched so many dramas this year! I'm embarrassed to admit how much time I spent in Dramaland, but I feel like I have a good excuse, so it's all good 😅 (*runs to mydramalist to sort out things)

Wow what a year it's been for kdramas. Because of the pandemic, I watched more kdramas than ever before and surprisingly liked a large majority of them.

While allocating beans I set myself a simple rule, every show gets a bean unless I really disliked it or was really bored watching it or both. Watched only 13 dramas this year 😪. But I was glad to know that I escaped some of the trainwrecks. As for the good dramas,hoping that there will be time to catch up.

365 repeat the year- 3 beans- My favorite. Lee Joon hyuk was amazing and the story was gripping. Perfect for 12 episodes.
My unfamiliar family- 3 beans- Chan hyuk and eun hee's was one of the best friends to lovers trope I've seen. That and the sisters love hate prickly adorable bickering.
Mystic pop up bar- 2 beans-Nothing exceptional but the main trio made up for it.
Brahms- 2 beans- Would've been my favorite but the last few eps dragged too much.
When the weather is nice- 1 bean- would've given more but the last eps kind of pissed me off. Hwi and Lee jae wook were the best part of the show for me.
The cursed- 1 bean- It was a good horror drama with amazing performances from the main cast.
Tail of the nine tailed- 1 bean - All the relationships were interesting except unfortunately the main love line. Rang broke my heart and for that I'm reducing one measly bean.

I have been remiss in the drama front; only 8 beans to give away. So for 2020:

Kairos is so underrated even in bean count. I am beyond sad.

Secret Forest 2 and Hospital Playlist are basiy a wall nobody can reach, My Unfamiliar Family is probably what I would call a family melo done very very very well, Extracurricular was a new, great, crippling experience, and both Black Dog and It's Okay not to be Okay are both great drama with best actors done right, but could've been something more.

I WISH I could've gotten 2 beans for watching Record of Youth and the mess that it was kdhdgshs I just love to hate on this one so much because of the huge huge huge love I have for both Park Bogum and Park Sodam and the directing, and all that for nothing but a mess.

Only three beans this year. Looking over the past year, I watched primarily J or C dramas.

I did watch some K dramas, some were either rewatches or Drama specials so, no beans. The year had it’s share of dramas that were started and abandoned, although these days I start less and less shows.

The three I did finish were Memorials/Into The Ring , Do You Like Brahms and School Nurse Files, 1 bean each

Oh, this is so hard. But I have counted my 20 beans and have to make a choice. So, here it is:

I'm to the point I only finish dramas that I really like, or rewatch ones that I've liked in the past. So, I have to assign one bean to each of the 19 shows I watched from beginning to end without using the fast forward button. To me the great shows of 2020 were: I'll Find You on a Beautiful Day, 365: One Year Against Destiny, Train, Flower of Evil, Missing: The Other Side. To me they were creative and intriguing from start to finish.

I managed to gather a total of 6 beans of Kdrama this year, so far. Yay! Like, at least four more than I normally do! MEMORIALS is on the way and it totally deserves at least one of my beans.

The rest I distribute as follows:

I'LL FIND YOU ON A BEAUTIFUL DAY - 2 beans. Might be my favorite show of the year. I didn't agree with how the romance was handled in the end but there were so many heartfelt moments and wonderful characters, I'll carry the show with me for a long time.

HOSPITAL PLAYLIST - 1 bean. Funny and quick-witted. Jo Jung-seok was adorable.

IT'S OKAY TO NOT BE OKAY - 2 beans. One bean alone is for the performance of Oh Jung Se. The show was sassy, sexy and and the FL was endearingly shameless. It also held one of the best drama kisses I've ever seen.

DO YOU LIKE BRAHMS?: In the end, I didn't. But Kim Min-jae and Park Eun-bin had crazy chemistry and although there was a total nonsense of suffering in the middle, the show did find its footing towards the end and therefore is rewarded with a bean.

I also finished Cdrama LOVE IS SWEET and THE ROMANCE OF TIGER AND ROSE, and these two deserve their respective Cdrama bean. The later was cute and felt fresh while the former had Luo Yun Xi and Bai Lu. I have spoken.

The drama count was very easy, since I just started watching dramas this year, and most of them have been from previous years. But... I did manage to get 7 beans nonetheless.

The rest i have watched were decent, but nothing compared to Hospital playlist wich i watched 6 times (7 on-going) since August. I have watched all of the Reply series, since it is the same couple of director and writer. I love it. There is something about having friendship the center piece of a plot, and family relations... then romance. It is in creating balance that HP is formidable, and the 12 episode format is just brilliant, because no dialogue or scene is wasted. I am glad we don't get the classic flashbacks.

As for the others, cinematography of Kingdom is great, the plot is constantly moving, and the actors are really good. I'd say getting a second second was a treat, and can't wait for 2021 and Asin of the North.

Forest of secrets (Stranger 2) which i liked and waited for, was great. However the plot did stagnate in the middle around episoded 10-12. What drew me to this Drama is the concept of the "no emotions" protagonist. Cho Seung-woo is on point. Bae Doona balances the cold with her fire emotions, and her quirky geeky attitude, but we can feel her lassitude in this season, on her way to being disappointed by the system, struggling to navigate politics, and eager to actually get back to police work. The political and police intrigues are on another level this season around, between two pillars of Justice. I found the subjet really fascinating, got me reading about the Korean legal system.

Other shows were very agreeable, but I wouldn't watch them beyond the one time: King Eternal Monarch, It's Okay not to be Okay (Amazing lead actress), Itaeowon Class.

I watched many many things this year but either they were old or I didn’t finish them - my bean count is two! And I will give one each to the dramas that got them for me....CLOY and Mystic Pop Up Bar.

I’m halfway through the last ep of TKEM, so maybe I should go struggle through that and come back 😄
