Ahn Hyo-seop was in Father is Strange. Personally, I don’t think he really looks that different, minus his face just looking older and more mature with time. That said, he totally could’ve gotten procedures done too. I don’t really know or care much about stuff like that unless it inhibits an actor’s acting. Kind of accepted that stuff like that is normal for celebs to do.

I think the famous jawline for a lot of Korean males means to be underweight. At a normal weight, their face is more chubby. When they leave the army, their face are rounder and they loose weight and it becomes sharper.

I think he just got older and put on some weight. He used to look really boyish, and that’s gone. I think they should have done his hair differently to better suit his face.

He just has more weight on him. He’s not the skinny kid from Still 17. He looks the same as when he was in Romantic Doctor 2 to me.

YAMS is to me one of the best dramas in 2021 (but then again, I’ve made so may poor choices this year). The OTP is just adorable and the mystery part is well done (you know, for a romcom that has to have a serial killer involved, and we all wonder why). Both Kim Dong Wook and Seo Hyun Jin are top notch. I can’t recommend it enough.

SHJ has some really good or even great scenes in this one. I think this show allows her to really show off her acting chops. KDW is also great here. Their relationship is really mature imo; but the most passionate ML for SHJ is still Erik (Another Miss Oh) for me.

I love him and can’t stand her. I didn’t last many episodes.

I love You Are My Spring. Ending is decent as far as kdrama endings go, yes.

Woong and Yumi’s breakup is one of the saddest and most realistic breakup I’ve ever seen in kdramaland 😭

Same! I don’t know how they will wrap up Woong’s story in a way that is not as hurtful because he’s the best boy. Also, will the seasons really happen, the rating isn’t as high. I hope they do.

This makes me wonder if I’ve forgotten about any dramas I’ve watched that have a season 2 scheduled … and, like you, I didn’t realize that was the set up.

I like it so far. It’s quirky and cute, especially the animation. I’m a bit worried about how they adapt the 5 relationships Yumi had in the manhwa into the drama though. I’m staying for the next 3-4 episodes to see how the adaptation goes.

🙋I liked episode 1 (I have a soft spot for the little “cells”).

It seems fun so far, although I had to pause out of second hand embarrassment about five times in the first 15 minutes. I don’t know anything about the manwha though so no idea about how well it’s been adapted.

I liked the short clips on YT.

I loved the webtoon – btw, it took me a while to warm up to it… The esthetics may look like this is a bit naive or childish, but the views on relationships and growth in the source material are really deep and nuanced. So, about the drama: I enjoyed ep 1 and am optimistic that it will honour the source material – if that is the case, I’d tell all doubtful Beanies to stick with it a little longer, it may grow on you the same way the webtoon did for me!
And Kim Goeun is the cutest Yumi, I just adore her and her little fringe

I liked it.

But the back and forth between the real scenes and the cells ones are a little bit tiring. It’s hard to immerse totally in the scene and the story. It makes a simple scene lasting pretty long.

I liked the 1st episode, but in the 2nd episode I started wondering if its going to be exploring only the romane aspect of Yumi’s life, given that “love” is a major strength of Yumi.

The romance thus far seems kiddish though the scenes are funny, but then the drama’s wikipedia states it is planned for multiple seasons, so I don’t know if the intended target audience are grown adults.

i stopped at ep 1.. the voices of the cells annoy me and manga is just too cute..will pick it up again
