I feel like Manwol was truly the most iconic character of 2019 (for me at least). I even bought two pairs of Manwol knockoff earrings because I was so in love with her styling 😂

Maybe this is controversial, but I don’t think Haru was that much of a scene stealer. Don’t get me wrong, I did love him! But I thought dealing Dohwa was more of a scene stealer in the sense that he lit up scenes I’m not sure they intended him to shine in. I miss his third-wheeling and his violin meta jokes ♥️

Well, if that’s controversial, it’s probably scandalous to say that I thought Haru was bland. I liked old Haru with the dreamy hair and soft voice, but he just became a typical wrist-grabbing lead after episode 8.

Did I like the drama? Not specially, I didn't like the characters. But the app was the most interesting thing in the drama, it brought interesting questions. But the question wasn't about that. It was do you want an app that shows you if someone likes you in a 10m radius. I didn't think so many people would like this app after watching the drama.

Vagabond was chaos because it didn't make any sense with Dalgeon Mr indestructible.

Honestly not surprised that Jang Man Wol won best wardrobe. Part of the reason why I liked her character (aside from her backstory and character growth) is her sense of fashion. She got good stylists.

Most kdrama workplaces are demoralizing, soul-sucking places to work at. Aside from needing to be dead to work there, Hotel del Luna has great workplace culture. No need for degrees or expertise. I'm sure you don't need to suit up for the interview process. No required company dinners (actually the boss would prefer to not eat with you). No competing hotel out to destroy you. No numbers to meet AND your boss will personally go out there to grift people to make money. Your boss will also get rid of the really unruly clients/guests. No backstabby coworkers. And you get to help people cross over!

Really puzzled by the out come of this whole exercise... so was Hotel Del Luna really the stand-out show of the entire year? Or is it more a reflection on an overall lackluster and problematic year? I did not watch Hotel but I read the recaps and...nothing really grabbed me. People liked it, but most of the raves were for the wardrobe...if this is the best this year could do, in terms of the one show to rule them all, then I think it must have been a pretty sad year.
