If anyone wondered why I’ve been MIA, my father passed away unexpectedly at the start of our Australia holiday. I’m now focused on getting Mum settled in the US & figuring out a new life together.

Any beanies in Australia? I’ll be there in Sept with a few days in Sydney (11-13th), Melbourne (14th-16th), and Perth (22nd-24th)! Any recs of what to do/eat are welcome! (or a meet up, maybe?)

    yaari river train ride -> food ain’t that great -> if you have done these trips in other places then probably not so great
    The night trip has wine tasting.. plus you can visit all the Masterchef restaurants 🙂

    Oh visit the digital museum (sorry blanking out on the name.. but it is the downtown/ CBD area) – they have movie making business and how it has changed over the years and use of various techniques – technology/color/hues.. i like it

      Thanks! We’ll mostly be sticking to the CBD (where our hotels are) in each city since we’ll be doing a lot of traveling other times (including the Indian Pacific from Adelaide to Perth!). I’m already excited about all the food in Melbourne and am sad that I only have one belly since everything sounds delicious, especially since we’ll be so close to Chinatown.

        I am actually surprised you will be coming to Adelaide. Not many people know Adelaide. Just one day is too short though, there is a few places like Kangaroo Island, Victor Harbor, Flinders Ranges, Port Lincoln. I guess you will be just going places close to Adelaide like Hahndorf, Mount Lofty Botanic Gardens. The flowers will be nice as its spring in September. But you will never know the weather in Australia, someday we have 4 seasons in one day. 😂

          We’ve a day set aside for Kangaroo Island! But just not much time in Adelaide proper, unfortunately, since we’ll be there primarily to board the Indian Pacific (which is how we’ll end up in Perth!).

    BTS is totally worth a lost weekend. Did you see them in Chicago?? I heard the weather was pretty unfortunate, hopefully that didn’t mar your enjoyment. They were so awesome!

      Yeah, @lollypip and I saw them in Chicago! It was definitely cold and rainy, but that didn’t dampen (heh) our enjoyment! It was totally worth spending hours in the rain!😁 Besides, we got to experience the first “BTS Winter Concert” 😂

        Winter in May…who knew???? 😂 Thankfully the weather for the Rose Bowl concert was perfect, but if it makes you feel any better, it’s currently raining in normally sunny California. Seriously, what is with this weather?!? 🤔

    If made sense to me, even though I dropped it after just 1 or 2 days. I let my imagination run a little wild the items you mentioned — and clown hats are easy to imagine things about.
    The title “Item” might help explain things even to those who haven’t watched at all.

    I have been enjoying the show and yep, it is a slow burn and pieces matter.

    The last run, man, my heart is hurting for So-young and it sucks that she is not position to just….be. She has to keep going and that poor woman needs a damn break.

    Kim Kang Woo, super hot but I am hating him and hating myself for lusting for him when he is just a monster in this series.
