Third time lucky? I loved AM 1997 and AM 1988 but I’ve failed to get past episode 1 of Answer Me 1994 in the past. I’m getting round it this time by starting at episode 2! Wish me luck beanies. 😬

    I only watched AM1997, the other two are on my to watch list, anyway wishing you luck with AM1994 🙂

      Thanks. I think it was the same for the first episode of AM 1997 actually. All a bit over the top and loud and it took a while to get used to all the screeching!

    This might sound crazy to other beanies but Reply 1994 is my favorite of the three! I don’t know but I just loved this group more than the others!
    Episode 2 is where Yoo Yeon-seok makes his 1st appearance so you might like it!

      Yeah. He turned up right at the end of the episode! I’ll see how it goes but I think it will be hard to beat 1988.

        Yeah? Reply 1988 is more family-oriented but this one is all about the love triangle, you need to choose your ship right or else you’ll get one of the worst heartbreaks ever!

        Yes, I’ve re-watched it a lot, still do but not all of it, just my favorite scenes!

    I have only watched 1988 and loved it so very much… and started 1994 with so much anticipation and couldn’t complete first episode. as you said it was so loud and over the top. i am still hoping ill be able to finish it on my second attempt somewhere in future.

      Yes. It’s definitely a not so secret love affair! I’m hoping they make it out alive. It’s interestingly shot. Nearly always indoors and not many windows you see the characters from across a room etc. This weekend away is one of the few times they are in the countryside but you still only glimpse it.

I finally finished watching Just Between Lovers this morning. This beautiful uplifting story was so well crafted and delivered. It was just perfect. 💕

It seems several beanies are watching Arang and the Magistrate at the moment. 🙂 It reminded me that I had seen Yoo Seung-ho in a drama before I’m not a Robot. Jade Emperor!

I finished Youth over Flowers: Africa. The lads made it to Victoria Falls by the deadline. My Dad went to there when he was young so I wanted to watch this series first. Next up Winner!

      You don’t have to do that! Although it is a funny feeling when you recommend something to your friends and they don’t like it as much. I thought it was really fun, actually and just goes to show that if you ask nicely and you’ve got a film crew with you it gets you quite a long way. Winner next anyway. 🙂

        I liked YoF Africa but I used FF button sometimes.. YoF Australia/Winner was comparatively shorter and I loved it a lot!

          My favorite YoF is Laos. Those boys were so cute and fun together and the Seo-jin-inspired twist at the end is gold.

            I watched 2 episodes of Laos sometime back because of Son Ho Jun, got busy with something and then didn’t go back but I plan to.. That kidnapping was quite hilarious!

            They didn’t have a credit card so it was a little bit sneakier than that.

            What I love about the Over Flowers series is that you really don’t need to know the people involved in advance. At that time, I really only knew Baro from that group and I haven’t ever watched AM 1994. I just love the show itself that I don’t care who they cast. I’ve seen almost all of them (GoF, NoF, and YoF). I’ve only skipped Africa and I need to still watch Winner’s.

          I felt almost bad for Na PD because they really didn’t get what was happening until he spelled it out for them. The poor boys were just so excited for the lies their managers fed them lol

          That is true. My favorite scenes are when the cast can get Na PD riled up or scammed. I love when Na PD lost the bet to cross a rope bridge that was high over a ravine. He was freaking out so bad while Seung-jae ran back and forth twice.

            My fav was njttw4 when he had to apologize for not being able to give that Porsche and Lamborghini even though Mino succeeded cuz he just wrote that as a joke! 😂😂😂

          Na PD should have taken out insurance for the expensive cars @obsessed much I had to help organise a golf day once and there was a prize of a very expensive Mercedes if someone got a hole in one and we were insured for that just in case!

    But I still get depressed thinking about the fact that Ssong dies in just a few years. I feel like throughout all of season 3 I would just be thinking about that and it would make me very sad.

    I’ve watched the one with Winner spin off of NJTTW, but that’s a show I have on my to-watch list , maybe in 2018 I’ll take time to watch the other seasons ^^’
