I finally finished Radiant, after months, and it was just not my cup of tea. I actually liked this drama until the whole Alzheimer reveal. I guess most people loved the big reveal, but it just ruined the drama. I would have preferred if the writers pick one main story and stuck with it. Because a young woman who suddenly turn into an old lady and her dealing with lost time and befriending other old people would have made a great drama. Instead the drama undo all that great story-telling, by saying oh it was all just a dream. I would have loved this drama much more if I had known that HyeJa was Alzheimer patient and all the time traveling and magic watch was her imagination, and coping mechanism. If the Alzheimer was revealed from the get go, we could have had more mother-son and MIL-DIL and explore how the disease affected the family. I am just sad thinking about what this drama could have been, in comparison to how it turned out. So many meh dramas this year, hopefully some new drama grabs my attention.

Meanwhile I will just look for more Produce X 101 content.

Fans cheering for Lee Dong Wook is just hilarious. LDW being the representative does feel like its 1 vs 101 sometimes. Still I think he is the best representative out of all seasons.

    Ikr. You’ve put up your pics. Mine are now Yohan, Kookheon, Sihoon and Seungwoo. Everybody else is okay, but I REALLY want to see these four in the debut team. Unfortunately I think Sihoon and Kookheon won’t make it. 🙁

      At this point I have twenty picks. I kinda hope that all the guys that have had their debut go back to their teams and pull Nuest 2.0, because this time around the contract will be for five years. But the final team needs Seung Yeon and there is no way woo Seon is not gonna be in final 11. Also seeing how mnet pushed JR out of final 11 in season 2, I don’t think mnet likes having too many debut idols in the team. So yeah I hope Victon, Up10tion, Myteen can use the attention boost and be the next Nuest.

          Yeah they are not promoting since limitation of Korean entertainment out in China. So I really hope he makes it in the debut line. Besides singing, dancing and rapping, I think he will do well in variety shows as well. I am waiting for boys of this season to appear in Knowing Bros already.

Ep 13 of Oh My Venus- What was the purpose of the time jump? Why? Whats happening? So he goes through tough physical condition, isolating himself. So basically no character development on his part. And the girl simply leaves and don’t go back for a year, just because he said so. And funny thing is I actually love time jumps, how can they mess even that up?
At this point I am watching this show just for Henry.

      When it’s done well, it just shows character in a new place mentally, and there are new dynamics that adds to the story. Also i love angst if there is a reason for a couple to separate, unlike this show.

This scene from Put Your Head on My Shoulder is number one swoon worthy and romantic moments. Seriously a guy who respects my space and gives up golden opportunity to go through my phone, is just perfect. I fell in love with this show after this.

I think I have curse of ep 12 because there is at least 5 dramas that I have kinda abandoned. Instead of starting new dramas I am thinking of finishing the ones I have left (gotta up my bean count). So here are my choices;

    Oh my Venus or The Light In Your Eyes would be my only maybes. I haven’t seen Encounter but the other three aren’t worth your time.

    The King and the Clown so you can hate the last episode with the rest of us and have one more bean? I thought Encounter was boring the whole way, but I made it through for a bean. You’re so close on The Light In Your Eyes that you should definitely finish that one.

      I am eventually going to finish all of them, especially Crowned Clown (idk I just feel loyalty to YJG) but it’s just difficult starting to watch something. I think will start Oh my Venus and go down the list in chronological order.

Whenever people talk about the most extra ppl I can’t help but think of King of Dramas, where they parody a ppl scene. For those who haven’t seen the show, the male lead in the drama within the drama has big fight in a warehouse, kill all the bad guys, picks up an orange juice box, goes to scenic beach, and right before he commits suicide he violently drinks the juice. Parody or not this is one of the most hilarious moment and best ppl in Kdrama history for me, even after six years.

Aloha Beanies, I have been lurking in this site for a long long time, finally decided to make an account to talk to you guys. Seriously I feel like I am friends with many of you. Some of my favorite dramas are Coffee Prince, Queen In Hyun’s Man, and I hear Your Voice. A drama that I recently enjoyed is Sky Castle, and Put Your Head On my Shoulder (which I watched after seeing all the fangirling posts in Beanies wall). Also I am super into Produce X 101 these days so if someone wants to discuss it, hit me up. Other subjects you can hit me up about Lee Jong Suk (for reals I have watched everything he is in), Super Junior, Kdramas, Korean entertainment, living in Hawaii, Bollywood, basically anything. I look forward to making up for six years I spent lurking and be active in this site.

      Who is your favorite? At this point I am so into this shows and biases, I will bawl if they don’t make it. My #1 is Cho Seungyoun and Hangyul.

        This show has such a compelling way of getting viewers interested. One of my early favorites, In2it’s Kim Sunghyun, didn’t make it and now I’m sad. Others I really like are Song Yuvin (I’d love to hear his voice in the debut group), and Kim Sihoon (Brand New Music). Others: all the already debuted idols – Hangyul, Seungyoun, Seungwoo, Jinhyuk, Wooshin, Byungchan, Kookheon. For some reason I’m very partial to these guys who are older and trying again/a second chance, over those who haven’t debuted yet (except Kim Sihoon, whom I just really like). Kim Yohan is a lock for the group, and I quite like him too I guess.

        Any trainee you really want to see back with the “X” resurrection? From my list, you can tell its Kim Sunghyun for me. But Won Hyuk should get a second chance too. I fear it’ll be neither of them.

          I am pretty much the same way, I like all the older and experienced trainees. And yes I soooooo want Sihoon to replace Eun Sang in the higher rank. The pretty trainees being on the top for no reason piss me off, seriously why the fuck is Jung Mo in top 5. Realistically I think mnet is going to only going to debut one maybe two debuted idols, most likely Woo Seok and YuVin. And of course Yo Han, he heelyed into my heart since ep 1. I kinda hope its Yuri or Baekjin who makes it in the X resurrection. Yuri’s reactions are everything but I also love Baekjin, he is really talented.

            I’m with you on being irritated by the focus on visuals (nonetheless, Min-gyu’s drop in ranking was quite a surprise – looks like even knetz, the korean fans felt looks aren’t everything. I don’t mind the kid debuting or not debuting, it was just quite a moment).

            I am fine with Mingyu actually, at least he is showing progress and mnet is giving him some moments, I guess he is like this seasons GuanLin, which I am fine with. But Jungmo and Eunsang I have problem with. They don’t do much to stand out and are still in the top position. But its all about the looks with knets I guess. I promised myself I wouldn’t get this involved after season 2 (I was heartbroken when Jonghyun didn’t make it), but here I am again.

        I also was in a 2 yearlong drama slump; after seeing everyone brag about Cdramas I gave it a go & they got me out of it. Hopefully you will find yours quickly!!

          I really enjoyed them too. The only drama I’m watching right now is Before we get Married which is Taiwanese. Chinese and Taiwanese show has some magic to keep you out of a slump. Until I find another show I will just enjoy variety shows.
