Dark Dramas
My Ajusshi (my drama of the year)
Come and Hug Me (serial killer father)
Children of a Lesser God (religion stuff)
The Guest (exorcisms stuff)
Romances
Pretty Noona Who Buys Me Food/Something in the Rain (a bit controversial, good cinematography and acting)
Secretary Kim (all fluff)
My ID is Gangnam Beauty (loved it)
Still 17 (innocent and lovely)
Comedies
Waikiki (seriously ridiculous)
Terius Behind Me (zanny)
Have gotten so used to seeing him in glasses that without them something feels missing. …I first saw him in school 2013 and he was wearing glasses there too. But you’re right of course. He looks good without glasses too but imo damn good with glasses!
Yeah, I mean he was practically born to model glasses. I’m sure he has some sort of contract with a glasses company by now ( or he definetly should)….I just had to post because of YY (jugglers) aversion to him without glasses. I mean how could you pass him up with or without?
I don’t know if I can write 500 words about this, but I think this is one of the most underrated and beautiful of any kiss scenes that I’ve ever seen. It has caused me to cry almost every time that I’ve watched it. **It also proves that gaps in age don’t necessarily denote gaps in chemistry**
I’m really liking jugglers. One of the highlights of the show for me is watching the two leads talk out their misunderstandings and progress in friendship and love in a natural way. For the most part, I think that this show highlights the importance of respect between partners, both in business and in life. One of the highlights of the whole show for me was episode seven when Chi Won apologized to Yoon Yi for what he had said. That was truly a swoon worthy moment. Not to detract from that , but I have a minor complaint about episode eight. I might be wrong, but I can’t ever remember Chi Won grabbing Yoon Yi wrist and I thought that was intentional.I thought that the writer and director were intentionally avoiding the wrist grab to show how Chi Won treats Yoon Yi with respect. Chi Won’s character seems to get upset when other people disrespect Yoon Yi in this way. That is why I was really disappointed in what happens at the end of episode eight, a moment that I know was intended to be romantic. Despite that, loved both episodes this week. 💕💕
What are your least favorite tropes? One of mine is when the angel of a second lead guy ends up with the terrible evil princess of a second lead girl. (I should also include second lead girls who’s only personally trait is being totally awful.)
I very much dislike that as well especially when I have SLS this just makes me question his judgement despite how much I tell myself “a heart wants what it wants.”
Recently I feel like I am overdosing on childhood first love/fate in my diet so every time (and it feels like that it happens in almost every drama) it is shown or mentioned I roll my eyes.
I just hate the fact that most second lead guys are portrayed as angels and the second lead girls are portrayed as bitches, to be honest.
Although I honestly sometimes think that the second lead guys that are portrayed as “nice” can be just as manipulative and possessive as the second lead girls.
SAME. Amazing second lead guys don’t deserve it. 🙁 It’s sad that second leads get that treatment just because they’re second leads. I think in writing in general, writers need to acknowledge that SLs are people too, not just characters who fall in love with “the next best person.” If they fell in love with a kind amazing lead girl, how could they possibly fall in love an insufferable SL girl?
If someone were to describe to me Just Between Lovers, without having watched it, I might have given it a hard pass…but I’m really into it. The relationships between the main leads feel natural and real. The overall feeling of melancholy doesn’t seem overwrought or overdone (so far🤞🏻)The episodes are long, but I find myself never wishing for the end.
Some thoughts I had after watching Just Between lovers…
1. The music is beautiful
2. The acting is so good
3. This feels ….whilstful
3. How can Junho’s character afford his ugly perm?
4. The second lead syndrome is strong with this one
5. This is episode is so long -but I like it
He’s so large. o_O I feel like his head is disproportionately small.
Hahaha my first time seeing him – and that impression stuck. 😂 I’ve heard good things about his acting though so looking forward to it.
I already fell in love with his charecter after watching episode 2. I’ve never seen him in anything before. This one is really melo, but it’s actually an easy watch so far. It’s not over the top; it’s kind of like watching a Japanese (non-comedy) movie.
So I was thinking about the dramas I’ve viewed this year and started thinking about FoS…which led me to Lee Jong Hyuk (who I loved in that drama despite the fact that his character is a little bit terrible). After FoS, I went through the faze of stalking all the stars on google, and couldn’t believe that LJH was my believed prosecutor in City Hunter. Anyways, he’s just great and I think I would watch him mow grass. Has he stared in anything besides Naked Fireman?
It would have been so easy to hate his character but he was so unapologetically such an opportunistic jerk (and had no qualms about being so) that he endeared himself to me. I loved his unwilling partnership with Si Mok. I think Lee Joon Hyuk played him so well ‘cos he wasn’t the cookie-cutter “evil” villain
“Unapologetically opportunistic,” lol. That’s the perfect way to describe him. He was so so good in this role that I couldn’t help but root for him just so that he wouldn’t die or be thrown in jail so I could continue to watch him on my screen.
I\’m Not A Robot so far is fun and light. It\’s purely turn off your brain entertainment so far, which can be refreshing. The PD is working his magic which definitely adds to the experience 🙂
I\’m really liking Jugglers so far. It keeps surprising me. I really like all the key players, and their personalities.
Brief side note: I hope his ex-wife isn\’t the second lead; yet, I\’m really interested in their backstory because their current relationship dynamic is interesting. However, I might not want to see it, least I get second female lead syndrome.

It’s a perm. The younger version of his charecter has straight black hair.
So in my mind his charecter was like… “Hum, I can eat today, pay my bills, or dye and perm my hair…”
He made the obvious choice lol.
