The replacement of music in kdramas on Netflix and Viu irks me to no end! Mirae in Gangnam Beauty is dancing PSY’s New Face steps to some song that doesn’t make sense! (I’m rewatching it, and am rudely shocked by the changes)

Some thoughts on secondary characters in #Putyourheadonmyshoulder
Xu Jie’er – I keep expecting her to turn evil and sabotage Momo based on their unfortunate FP connection. So, yay for showing positive friendships between girls.
Zhou Lei – irritating, but really just played for comedy and contrast. A little sad that that was all. Truth to be told there really are people like him. His redeeming arc was the hazmat suit dangling lunch from a pole.
Xie Yu Yin (lab senior) – just felt sad for her unrequited love. She was so nice. Although *spoiler* I liked the closure they gave her in ep24 with this backlit scene of someone…
Prof Jiang – having a professor in your posse? Except for complicated advice on confessing, never better! He even likes cats.
Lin Zhi Chun – what was his purpose anyway?

    Lin Zhi Chun – I don’t mind this character at all. I see him as someone who’s interested in Momo and a small source of irritation for Wei Yi as with Xie Yu Yin to Momo. The thing is show never made these characters pose serious threat to our couple nor cause huge misunderstandings. A lesser drama might drag out the conflict and annoy us to no end.

    Wei Yi did not give his senior any doubt that he wasn’t interested in her. Neither did she come on in an aggressive manner. I too thought the closure was a nice touch. There’s no need for unrequited love to turn ugly or utterly depressing.

    With Zhi Chun, Momo didn’t give a hoot that he was a ‘star’. I don’t find him overly obnoxious. He tried to get close to her but knew from early on that she has a boyfriend. I don’t think he overstepped his boundaries. In the end, he even helped her get back at her superior.

      If I may add, he also made our Wei Yi do some squeal worthy stuff for our Momo 😃 example: that circle mum/dad thing 😃

        That stare down at the lobby and the tiff about company when eating noodles….. 😂

      I didn’t really mind him much, just had this ??? feeling when he comes on screen. I didn’t like the peeping at other people’s messages though.

        Characters like this are often used to provide humor or to show contrast or heightened the lead’s appeal. I would love a well written side character with his own story but Lin Zhi Chun isn’t intended to be one. I have no complaints though as long as they don’t end up being annoying.

registered just to spazz about Doraemomo. I majored in physics like GWY, so I totally enjoyed the dorky stuff and dialogue. Of course, and the cute. So cute.
