Beanies I need your advice,
I’m applying for a job. They gave me written test that I have to submit today at 12. I know I couldn’t make it, also I don’t feel like to attend the interview tomorrow.
My students are going to have exam in the next two weeks, I’d prefer to prepare for exam. But I also have to make extra money and this job might help me with that.
I’ve called the HR person and told her that I probably can’t submit it today because I have so many things on my plate (which not really, but I hate doing things with tight deadline). She responded, she would wait for me to submit it until tonight. I haven’t told her that I probably not going to attend the interview.
I’m confused. I have asked my mom and she basically wants me to find a better job (read: make more money).
The work place is in the city and I need at least 2 hours by train/bus to get there. Meanwhile now I only need 20 minutes by motorbike taxi to my school.
I probably sound ungrateful, but I can’t stand traffic, pollution and life style in the city, hence I resigned from corporate job and started teaching in the first place. In the past aside from teaching I also worked for an NGO as their their consultant. The project has ended in 2017 and for the last two years I’ve been teaching full time.
I know I’m getting older and I can’t just relax and do whatever I want.

    I vote stay away from the long commute. Don’t pursue that one unless you are willing/able to move a lot closer.

    I agree with @lordcobol. I’ve done the long commute before and it just sucks the life out of you. You’re already tired even before starting your actual work which in this case would be something you don’t really like in the first place.

      It is. Office hours usually start at 8, this place I think start at 9. I’m used to with 7 to 3 (school hours). If I worked in the city I have to leave earlier and started my work 2 hours later.

        I hope you will find more and better job opportunities that you actually like and are closer to home. I know it may seem tough for all the right things to come together but I believe, like in The Alchemist, that when you want something, all the universe conspires to make it happen. Wish you all the best!

    As a university student that practically use my commute hours to sleep, I also have the same sentiments with the other beanies. The higher pay won’t compensate for the long commute and the stress you are going to get from that.

I started Last (2014) for Seo Ye-ji. Never saw her in anything before, but I just like her look. She\’s very pretty. Unfortunately she\’s not really a good actress.

      I forgot that I actually did watch the first episode of Save Me. I don’t remember if she was good/bad in it.
      She might have improved in Save Me or like Lixie said, she was probably miscast but she was not good in Last (2014) to the point that watching her scenes annoyed me.

    She improved with time imo. She as Sang Mi in Save Me is her best performance so far. I didn’t watch Lawless Lawyer but it doesn’t seem like people complained about her acting.

    as much as I like the show so far, they made the exact same choices with the background sounds here as well. just replace sometimes its hard to be a woman with the other two songs you’ll hear in the first few eps 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

The actor who plays Do Min-ik, he\’s hot. He has great body and veeeery long leg. This guy and Uhm Tae-goo, thank Drama God, I start feeling something again for k-drama oppas.

    also no one has found the answer yet… as i doubt him in one episode and next “nah he cant do it. he just can’t” and next m back to looking at him from side eye…. so nothing is concerete yet

          And secret secretary is a romcom for God sake! Keep that dramatic heart-breaking shit far far away from romcom (although I don’t mind evil mother in law, it will be better if she weaponize herself with a glass of water)

      I was very curious trying to eat like Kang Pil-su in Possessed or The Cute security girl ( I forget her name) in Where the Stars Land, and today finally I got the chance, yay….not.
      I don’t believe anyone in Korea eats like this. Nobody would eat so many processed foods in one go. You will feel bloated and sick afterwards. I think It happens in kdrama only for PPL.

      I thought the same. This scene was probably filming last year. She will be two years old this summer. Let me check it again, I’ve been trying to finish this drama since 8 hours ago, but I still can’t get myself into the story.

          You’re right. I got distracted with many things, neanthals’ foreign language (did the writer created a new language like Klingon?), blue blood (theirs are just like synth from Humans) etc etc

          That’s to bad I really loved our lead guy.I need to read the recaps sometime because this is one I’m pretty sure won’t get picked back up. I drop alot, for time or mood change reasons but I try to keep track of where I left off just in case.

            I see this drama more as a romance/friendship than a horror/mistery drama. You’re going to be really broken hearted in the last four episodes. If you need closure, you can always try to pick it up. But I don’t really recommend it, to be honest.

          I started to disengage after she made the decision to become a priestesses or whatever, partly because I liked their growing attachment but mainly because of ALL THE PAIN it was going to engender in our leads. I liked them working together to fight the common enemy. And her decision to sever attachments to the Human realm was sort of understandable but created distance between her and him in a painful (because of their growing relationship)and detrimental(to the mission) way at least that’s how it seemed to me.

            Maybe he is a big fan of Black Mirror. Come to think of it, possessed feels like the k-drama version of Black Mirror.
            The OTP are still beautiful until when Kang Pilso had to kill her pftttt

            You don’t know that?? In the end KPS still have to kill her girlfriend. I don’t know if it makes you feel better, but she’s the one who asked him to shot her as part of their plan to defeat Hwang Dae-doo. But, KPS doesn’t win either. Everyone he loves and cares are dead. To make things worse KPS ends up killing himself.
            I told ya, either the writer was possessed by Hwang Dae-doo or he’s big fan of Black Mirror. It’s just f#*#ed up. Even doramas don’t pull this kind of shit.

      I am still waiting on the subs for ep 2 because I want to know where the deteriorating of their relationship started. Does he know already and has been self loathing and drinking and being a all around ass as a result or is the rose off the bloom and now that he has married and is settled with Soo Jin he just don’t give a damn.
