One episode in to WWWSK and I can already tell I’ll be staying for if only because Kim Mi So is my new fashion inspiration. I need her entire wardrobe, but especially that mint blouse (the color! The buttons! The sleeves!❣️💕❤️) and her entire earring collection. But first I need to lose 20 pounds so I can look half as good in her clothes. The storyline and acting is good so far too, but even if everything falls apart halfway in imma stay for the clothes. 🤩
I doubt you need to lose weight to look good in these clothes. They are simple and well fitting, but the one thing that really sells the look is how confident she acts in the clothes. Find an outfit that makes you feel happy in it and rock it, you will look just as great! 😊
So, not gonna lie, if it weren’t for JGS I probably wouldn’t have checked out Switch. Say what you will about him as a person, but he’s one of my favorite actors and I’ve missed him. He conveys so much with just his eyes or face. The show is nothing groundbreaking, but it’s definitely entertaining and JGS hasn’t disappointed me. Hopefully the show won’t go off the rails and have decent ratings and then he’ll go off to the military without a scandal so that when he comes back it he’ll still have a career in Korea.
Really my only complaint is how everyone is so obsessed with this mysterious “item.” It’s probably just the translation, but I snort laugh every time. Not in a good way.
More on JGS in switch. He looks like. A grown man with all that “extra” weight! I like! That. And the short hair! And I didn’t know I wanted JGS wearing glasses until they gave me JGS wearing glasses! And he has so many of them!
(“In Time With You” OST rave cont.)
This One (“Still Am”, William Wei) is what actually prompted me to look up the OST, because it’s exactly the type of mellow, indie rock I’d listen to in college (except, not in English). I think this one will also be on repeat a lot, but I probs won’t be crying along to it. Just feeling nostalgic.
(“In Time With You” OST rave cont.)
“Tiptoe Love” wasn’t included in the iTunes version of the album (for whatever reason, who knows, probably licensing or something) but was on iTunes elsewhere and was worth the extra effort tracking it down.
I enjoyed it so much that I binged the whole thing over a long weekend, @hades. Even when I got a little impatient toward the end about the male lead’s inaction, it is still understandable that he (and she) is just plain scared of losing their awesome friendship…..and I also forgive his inaction because he called himself out for being “very stupid.” But the truth is that I probably will forgive him for anything because Chen Bolin has the most incredible bedroom eyes…..
I’m pretty sure you’ll like it! I was just telling LydiBird how it’s one of my all-time favourite dramas. The leads are in their early 30s, fairly established in their careers and have well-formed personalities (strengths and weaknesses and all).
The way that the show explores their insecurities as people who are still unmarried at a “marriageable age” is compelling.
You might have seen the Yang Min freight containers around….his family owns the logistic and transport company with container ships are all over the world
This is such a good drama..for a slow paced theme..this is curiously addictive. Korean adaptation was so bad but then i really find ha ji wons acting cringey….
So wise, but so hard to accept sometimes!! Da Ren needs to start a second lead support group. (I know he’s the first lead now, but let’s be real, he was the second lead for 14 years so I still think he’s qualified as group leader.)
I really liked how the show explored the way Daren’s strength is also his weakness. He’s too kind to put his foot down with her advances, and is probably also thinking he wants to give her a chance, without realising it’s hurting her more than outright rejection.
The difference between me and You Qing is that I don’t have a best friend to have this conversation with, let alone an attractive, male one who will travel over an hour to comfort me. Such is life. At least this is evidence that such feelings are universal, right?
It might be too early to say this, but “In Time With You” is ending my drama slump. Two episodes in and I’m crying because it speaks to my soul so much!
It’s one of my all-time favourite dramas (Kdramas included)! The second leads were kind of cliche, but everything else about the leads and their families are explored in such a mature and compelling way. I also loved that play-within-a-play technique in this episode.
@delphy010@deedeenoona@purpleteapot@silvermists@drawde2000@sancheezy All of you are right. It’s sucked me an and turned my weekend into a complete binge-fest and I’m not even complaining. You Quing is basically me if I were more aggressive. Or I’m her if she were less aggressive. The families are so imperfectly perfect. The plot is 100% true-to-life and believable. I want the best for all the characters.
This is everything I need right now and I can’t believe I only heard about it last week. Ikm even considering buying it on DVD if it’s available, thanks how in love I am.
Why So Serious?
no, wrong question, Chi Won has reason to be worried with everything considered. But he´ll overcome it. He has special forces training.

Agreed! It’s how in INAR when main actress gets mad about inventor making decisions for her. “It’s my body.” It’s nice to see a little more of this in dramaland lately.
