I hope I can join the #2024 Roundup late. How fun!

Day 1: Favorite Drama
I had two five star shows this year: Like Flowers in Sand and Jeongnyeon. But favorite doesn’t really mean best, right? So I’d say Knight Flower, which gave me all the fun and feels (oh but for one kiss!).

Day 2: A Female Lead
Given Day 1, would anyone be surprised if I pick Jo Yeo-hwa played by Honey Lee in Knight Flower? Comedy is hard. And the bar higher for women still. And Jo Yeo-hwa just sailed over it.

Honorable mentions to Seo Hye-jin played by Jung Ryeo-won in The Midnight Romance, and to Son Hae-yeong played by Shin Min-ah in No Gain No Love.

Day 3: A Male Lead
Nope, no can do. My heart holds multitudes. So I nominate the male leads in Captivating the King, Knight Flower, Flex X Cop, Like Flower in Sand, Lovely Runner, and My Sweet Mobster. I also nominate the eyes of the male lead from The Judge From Hell. Yup, nothing but JYK’s eyes.

Day 4: 2024 Crush
Moon Ok-gyeong played by Jung Eun-chae, my surprise girl crush in Jeongnyeon (despite the script losing sight of her character in the second half).

I have to pause. The rest need a bit of thought, but…

Day 7: Favorite OST
The Atypical Family, hands down. But the opening rap for Knight Flower was also pretty fun.

I’ve only seen Episode #1 of Jeongnyeon: The Star Is Born and if Kim Tae-ri wasn’t already a star, she sure would become one. But take a look at the “fella” she’s talking to. Jung Eun-chae, you have All. My. Heart.

        Oh, it does looks lower than my original video clip tho. I’ll play with it.

        I did the gif by:
        1) Screen recording on my iPhone and then editing the video clip before uploading to giphy.
        2) Using the giphy link directly in the post.

        Also, why are there slashes instead of apostrophes instead of quotes? It’s killing me!

          I think a GIF is supposed to look more grainy than the original video.

          That’s very good editing!!

          By the way, where did you screen record from? Not Netflix or Viki, right?

          From my end, I don’t see any slashes. Everything looks good. But it happened to me too and I have no idea why.

            1) From the Disney app on my phone.
            2) And you’re right, the slashes are not consistent! I see them on one device, not the other. Uff. Like nails on a chalkboard. I’ll just use less of them in the future.

      She’s been great in almost everything I’ve seen. Truly one of her generation’s best.

      And oh no re availability angst. Disney is not doing this well at all.

    Welcome to the fanwall. Kim Tae Ri is already a huge star and hugely impressive here too but Jung Eun Chae is stealing all the scenes here. She is so convincing in her role. I haven’t been this impressed by her before even if she’s usually good.

    Also, as someone who uses a lot of apostrophes and sees a lot of slashes in return, I’ve learnt to roll with it 😉… I know it reads annoying to me, but can’t give up my apostrophes…. I love them 😂. Most others viewing on a PC can’t view them anyway.

            Just forget the long document, it’s not that complicated 🤣

            If you look at the quick (short) tutorial, you basically just need an image address to post a pic, put it in between a pair of angle brackets and quotation mark and the fixed html tags 😁

            The image address you can even get directly from sites like Pinterest, so it’s quite easy.

            But I like how you say it’s like 1999 haha 🤣🤣

            And I’m sure I don’t keep myself updated, so I think except for SNS platforms where we can easily upload our contents, don’t forums still work like DB, i.e. to post a pic you’ll need to put it on some hosting site first before “calling” it to where you want it to show up?

            Anyway, preparing a post for my fanwall is actually something I quite enjoy 😂

            That is exactly what I thought the first time I tried it! 😂 And it does need me to think about and make my post beforehand. Not to mention that some of the sites mentioned only work on my wifi while the others only work on my phone data! So that is a whole other set of hoops added in for me!

            Thank you @kurama. That was also very helpful. I ran my baby post as a test, and it caught a missing quote. Oh gosh, and to think I thought who needs to learn HTML these days. 🙂
