japanese news loves polls too--seen whole nhk newscast with poll results and cute handmade charts, pies, graphs, with cardboard cutout pictures. this low tech bit is quite charming, and some say more personal than the computer graphics used in the us news. does korea use hand made cardboard charts on national news casts also these days?

I couldn't really get with this guy....none of his music could really be considered his. It was either being New Kids on the Block, Beastie Boys, Cypress Hills, or Limp Bisquit. He could mimic anything though...

On Natalie Portman -- am I the only person in the world who thinks the girl can't act? Every move she makes seems so self-conscious and thought-out.
---
while it's admirable that korean celebrities go to University, it reflects the really rigid society of korea. i think it's cool that you don't absolutely NEED a college degree to be taken seriously in the US. after all you might be a bill gates or a "insert a name of intelligent college dropout here."
one more thing, i've heard it said that korean university is a joke. you go to university in order to cruise/booze and network -- not to gain a rigorous edu. that's why the korean uni's are pretty low in world rankings.

I met Seo Taiji at O'Hare airport once. I can't for the life of me remember how long ago it was but it was when Seo Taiji and the Boys were still together. I was flying back to CA from the east coast and had a lay over in Chicago. That's where I saw him (and others with him) waiting at the same gate as me. I got the nerve to approach him once we boarded the flight (my seat was exactly 2 rows behind him) and asked for an autograph. I felt so stupid! I never asked anyone for an autograph before! I didn't even keep that autograph!
Anyway, I remember thinking how small he (and the rest of his gang) was. I felt so big!

@elbib #9: Be careful about knocking celebs who attend university. Some of them are intelligent in addition to having acting talent. Natalie Portman comes to mind, as do Brooke Shields and Jodie Foster.
(Didn't Danes go to Yale? Like many, she returned to her career before finishing her degree, if I remember correctly.)
