Episode 8
Ji-hyuk settles in at the café, where he converts the storage room into the office for his new business, having been inspired by the help he provided to a newlywed couple while he was out of town and motivated by his determination to live a different life but apparently with no shortcuts this time. Eun-oh is upset at this turn of events as she wants nothing to do with him. Her business is picking up as well. We have now completed the full introduction to their story.
Ji-hyuk is not ready to meet his family again which puts Seongjae in an awkward position when Su-bin tells him that she had only chosen him as a model because her older brother was not available (while Ji-wan is good looking he does not have the look she needs?). Su-bin wants two more modeling sessions because her YouTube subscriber base exploded when the first one was posted to the internet. Seongjae is upset with her because his face was insufficiently blurred (and her friend even added hearts at one point) and people who know him can see that it is him and now she wants more? “You’re old enough to negotiate now?” he asks. Which is the whole point to this scene: When he first met her Subin was a teenager in high school but now she is old enough in more ways than one. He has yet to see that he has and expresses visceral emotional reactions to her in a way he does not around others, including Eun-oh. With Eun-oh he walks on eggshells while he feels free to express his anger to Su-bin: Eun-oh is a fantasy while Su-bin is real. Yoon Hyun-min, who plays Seongjae, is giving us a first-class portrayal of our shy Chaebol heir while Shin Soo-hyun, who plays Su-bin, is portraying the vivacious and outgoing Su-bin who is exactly the woman that Seongjae needs to put color into his life. I think that our writer is making a lot of sense with this story line.
Here is one possibility for Seongjae’s father sees the YouTube video and decides that he wants Seongjae to bring Su-bin home to meet his family. This would be a fun situation.
Less fun and almost tragic is the awkward situation of Ji-wan and his new charge Young-ra, who is Seongjae’s little sister. He now sees her vulnerability after his initial angry reaction and his attitude towards her has changed. In the end their story can go nowhere because her mom will find him unacceptable while her dad will object also on the grounds that Ji-wan is Su-bin’s brother. Remember, he has to accept whoever Seongjae chooses to marry, regardless of family background: This is the downside to his ultimatum to his son. He is in no such position regarding his precious daughter.

Honestly, I was so washed away by politics than the happy events didn't really reach me...
Ga-ram> He didn't have to run away, he could have been operated at the beginning (why coaches have to be healthy? Everybody can be sick...)
I-Ji> Honestly, none of decisions made sense. She should have chosen way before if she wanted to be an athlete or a coach instead of giving up in the middle of 2 competitions. She shouldn't date Ga-ram because he had no reason to ghost her like he did. She had no respect toward herself, she let the coach, the vice-principal and Garam using her.
The vice-principal> He wants medals but made a scandal during an important competition for one of his athlete? They couldn't wait for the end? It's a sport about focusing and they let him barge like this, nice for the other athletes...
U-Jin> She should have dated the cute Mun Ung! Not the stupid captain who made Garam lying for him, who wasn't really good at being captain.
This drama was disapointing. They should have focused on the cute kids like in Racket Boys instead of bad adults.

it is infuriating and annoying but at least entertaining and how to say, bit ironic? scenes like putting your own shackles back on and locking them etc. negotiating with "designated evil villain". she is nifty. and the king is, well, a fruit of his era I suppose. however the mommy line is icky. like cmon. dont like her bc of THAT like PLEASE

I think that Ji-hyuk's joint decision with BoA was the far better decision for both of them. While we will never know what really happens next for BoA my bet would be on the whole thing turning sour for her within a few years. It would have turned out well for Ji-hyuk as well.
Instead, we will get a different story- so be it.
Seongjae is a good guy and genuinely crushes on Eun-oh but is not right for her except as a friend.
The writer is showing how Seongjae actually clicks more with Su-bin and Ji-wan than he does with his best friend. Ji-wan is talked into the driver/bodyguard role by Seongjae and of course we got the supremely cute modelling session with Su-bin. His relationship with her is growing very organically. When his fantasy about Eun-oh evaporates he will be shocked to find that Su-bin has already taken up residence in his heart- and is a far better fit than Eun-oh.

1) Why is it a fantasy drama?
2) I find funny the second actor named in Solo Leveling adaptation is for Chae Hae-in because the romance is the weak part of the story. The ML wasn't really a romantic or showed any interest in women. The only connection that made sense for me was with Lee Juhee.
3) Drama for the eyes :p
4 + 5) So JTBC will release on Friday My Youth with 2 episodes and on Sat-Sun Hundred Memories. It's not like we already have a lot dramas on week-ends >_<

Byun Woo Seok and Han So Hee will make a gorgeous OTP... but she's quite the character in the instagram exchange (was it) with Ryu Joon Yeol turned me off - such unnecessary cattiness, my gawd.
eye candy drama, i guess. it's been awhile for BWS to pick a project since Lovely Runner, i hope the wait is worth it.

Because winter is already depressing, especially when S.A.D. hits (Seasonal Affective Disorder— I love winter, it’s one of my favourite seasons, and even I will get S.A.D. at some point, usually around February— so you don’t wanna pair that up with a wintry, cold, and blue drama (there’s literally a blue-like filter in some parts, like at the beginning episodes of THE UNTAMED, kid you not). The plot is already written to be a depressing one to begin with, so why go further down that rabbit hole?? Rabbit holes aren’t fun unless there’s adorable bunnies at the bottom, like Xiao Zhan 😍😍😍

For traditional alternation of past and present timelines, I like Just Between Lovers. For wackier timeline shenanigans, God's Gift: 14 Days and Hello, Me.

Same here! Hence my deep love for all time travel, time slip, parallel universe plots.

I want to grab Jihyuk (and the writers) by the shoulders and scream at them for that cliffhanger. I wasn't expecting a sudden declaration of undying love, but I was expecting more than what we got.
I'm glad he called his mom and I'm also glad she finally broke down with dad.
I think Dorotka might be on to something about a family business... maybe dad's plans to go into electrical + Jihyuk's construction management (?) + Eunoh's interior design will all come together.

I just watched episodes 9 and 10. I really do not want the FL and the ML to get together, please please please please. Their mentor/mentee relationship is so perfect, please don't louse it up. PLEASE.
Episode 9 was the one with the doctor who had to treat a child rapist who collapsed on a plane. Through a series of coincidences that would have made Dickens blush, the doctor also treated a child this man molested. In the same episode, the two leads learn that another newbie lawyer is solo parenting her little twin sisters. This provides another pretext for Seo-hyuk to show just how much he likes children. I was honestly more interested in the hints about corruption at the law firm. There was so much product placement! I think this show must be catching on in Korea. Oh yeah, and the work couple had a confession and make-outs.
Episode 10 had mothers making up with their daughters, which I liked. Nice healing vibes when Hyo-min arranged for classmates to petition the judge for a less severe sentence for the bullied young adult.
The teaser for next week hinted at someone abusing Seo-hyuk's dog! Come ON, really? We've had ableism, ableism, ableism, domestic violence, child rape, severe school bullying, severe child abuse....and now you're going have someone harming a dog? Just don't let the ML and the FL date, OK?

I wish..... this was my rally for this drama, I got my bean I guess, but the writing for this was so bad. The writer could have written a nice 12 episode drama about these 7 players and their scrappy coach, but for whatever reason chose not too. I still have no understanding of Rugby, and don't know much about 5 of the 7 players. I don't understand the point of the twin brother and his terrible parents. I don't understand why I Ji's mom was such trash. The villainy was unnecessary. Finally, never circle the block on an old flame who can't be bothered to communicate with you. SIGH.

Can't remember where I posted this kind of question before....But please let me know if there is a better place!
My question is about a scene from a Kdrama that I saw a long time ago. I want to know the drama's name, and google is not giving me sane answers! lol... In the last episode, a grandmother is seen telling a classic fairytale then the parents come home (she was babysitting) they say why were you reading that to the kids? she answers "they were asleep anyway" she eventually dies, her spirit takes a walk in the night air and gets reunited with her non human (maybe a gumiho?) love. It was a memorable scene and I'd really like to the the whole drama again. Thank you for any help!!
