Lee Jong-seok

  • Lee Jong-seok (Big Mouth) is heading to the district of Seocho-dong to become an attorney once again. But this time, it’s on tvN’s new office series which will be taking a more realistic angle, following the day and the life of true lawyers. With plans to release in early 2025, production has PD Park Seung-woo (Adamas) at the helm and scripts by real-life lawyer Lee Seung-hyun. [MBC]

  • New stills have been fished out of Netflix’s The Trunk, giving us another look into the peculiar marriage between Seo Hyun-jin (Why Her) and Gong Yoo (The Silent Sea). Directed by PD Kim Kyu-tae (Our Blues, Live) with writing by Park Eun-young (Hwarang), the mystery-melo and novel adaptation will be dropping its eight episodes on November 29. [MBC]

  • In the meantime, Seo Hyun-jin is reviewing offers for her next project and is favorably considering the OBGYN lead role in a new drama called Love Me. As a remake of a Swedish series by the same title, production is still in the early stages and also has Jang Ryul (Daily Dose of Sunshine) in talks to play Seo’s music director boyfriend. [Star News]
  • Kim Hyun-jin (My Sweet Mobster) has been added to the cast of MBC’s Bunny and Her Boys, joining Noh Jung-eui (Hierarchy) and Lee Chae-min (Hierarchy) in the coming-of-age rom-com. Slated to launch in 2025, the popular webtoon adaptation has PD Kim Ji-hoon (Check Out the Event) and writers, Lee Seul (Dear M) and Sung So-eun (Twenty-Twenty) leading production. [Osen]

  • On JTBC, there’s plenty of pretty in the bundle of stills for The Tale of Lady Ok, starring Im Ji-yeon (The Killing Vote), Choo Young-woo (Oasis), Kim Jae-won (Hierarchy), and Yeonwoo (Dog Knows Everything). The sageuk romance begins on November 30 this month, airing on weekends following A Virtuous Business. [MBC, Newsen (1), (2)]
  • tvN’s Parole Examiner Lee has come out with new posters and a video teaser, showcasing our revenge story’s four leads: Go Soo (Missing: The Other Side 2), Kwon Yuri (Good Job), Baek Ji-won (Connection), and Lee Hak-joo (LTNS). It will be great to see Lee Jong-suk back on screen, i've always had a soft spot for him since "Pinocchio" and "While you were sleeping"

Unpopular opinion: Gong Yoo is a very limited actor who gets by on his personality and looks rather than skill, versatility or range, with that being said i like Seo Hyun-jin so ill give this 2 episodes to win me over

Looking forward to watching "The Tale of Lady Ok" sagueks are rare these days, leta hope its good.

I got hooked with The Trunk's recent trailer. I like both leads so hopefully it will be good.

Another drama I will watch is the saguek, The Tale of Lady Ok. I am in a mood for a good saguek so I hope it does not disappoint like the other recent "saguek".

Those posters for Parole Examiner Lee are pretty. I like revenge dramas and the leads.

1. Scripts by real life lawyer ... now where have I heard that before. Wish Lee Jong-suk would choose another profession now. Not that in Big Mouth he was shown lawyering for very long but still, fans can get profession fatigue on behalf of their Oppas, no!?

2. Eeks ... Gong Yoo playing the guitar with *that* expression!! Hold still my heart. 😍🥰

3. Sigh, boyfriend profession fatigue. After Gong Yoo can Seo Hyun-jin say yes to another (mysterious!?) music director who is well, *not* Gong Yoo!? 🙈🤷‍♀️

4. Drama name fatigue - you mean My Sweet Mobster was not also called Bunny and Her Boys, huh maybe it was The Emperor Penguin, Mama Deer and Her Deerlings. 🤔

5. The Tale of Lady Ok has my interest now. Guess it it not a sageuk sageuk but maybe a bit of fusion, no!?

6. A golden glitter coat makes everything better, isn't it. 👍🏻😂

1 - yes, it's funny how he only ever plays guys with prestigious jobs in dramas like lawyers and doctors - mommy must be proud of him!

Last night, I randomly clicked Another Miss Oh when in Viki - it ended as an all-nighter full rewatch of the first 8 episodes. This re-affirms my faith and love for Seo Hyun-jin. AMO is really a career-defining performance for her and she plays it with perfect nuance to the T!

I’ll for sure watch The Trunk, more for her than Gong Yoo.

Many more to be excited about. Looks like next year is already starting to say "Come to Me" and I'll keep you entertained! Gotta get through the end of this year though first. (Not complaining)
