Lee Jong-seok

  • Lee Jong-seok (Big Mouth) is heading to the district of Seocho-dong to become an attorney once again. But this time, it’s on tvN’s new office series which will be taking a more realistic angle, following the day and the life of true lawyers. With plans to release in early 2025, production has PD Park Seung-woo (Adamas) at the helm and scripts by real-life lawyer Lee Seung-hyun. [MBC]

  • New stills have been fished out of Netflix’s The Trunk, giving us another look into the peculiar marriage between Seo Hyun-jin (Why Her) and Gong Yoo (The Silent Sea). Directed by PD Kim Kyu-tae (Our Blues, Live) with writing by Park Eun-young (Hwarang), the mystery-melo and novel adaptation will be dropping its eight episodes on November 29. [MBC]

  • In the meantime, Seo Hyun-jin is reviewing offers for her next project and is favorably considering the OBGYN lead role in a new drama called Love Me. As a remake of a Swedish series by the same title, production is still in the early stages and also has Jang Ryul (Daily Dose of Sunshine) in talks to play Seo’s music director boyfriend. [Star News]
  • Kim Hyun-jin (My Sweet Mobster) has been added to the cast of MBC’s Bunny and Her Boys, joining Noh Jung-eui (Hierarchy) and Lee Chae-min (Hierarchy) in the coming-of-age rom-com. Slated to launch in 2025, the popular webtoon adaptation has PD Kim Ji-hoon (Check Out the Event) and writers, Lee Seul (Dear M) and Sung So-eun (Twenty-Twenty) leading production. [Osen]

  • On JTBC, there’s plenty of pretty in the bundle of stills for The Tale of Lady Ok, starring Im Ji-yeon (The Killing Vote), Choo Young-woo (Oasis), Kim Jae-won (Hierarchy), and Yeonwoo (Dog Knows Everything). The sageuk romance begins on November 30 this month, airing on weekends following A Virtuous Business. [MBC, Newsen (1), (2)]
  • tvN’s Parole Examiner Lee has come out with new posters and a video teaser, showcasing our revenge story’s four leads: Go Soo (Missing: The Other Side 2), Kwon Yuri (Good Job), Baek Ji-won (Connection), and Lee Hak-joo (LTNS).
