Shin Mina wants revenge on cheating ex in new teaser

In the new teaser for tvN’s upcoming No Gain No Love, we finally understand why our heroine Shin Mina (Our Blues) is so risk-intolerant and obsessive in her search to find a fake groom. Yup, you guessed it by this article’s title: the answer starts with cheating and ends with ex.

We open our teaser on Sohn Hae-young (Shin Mina), as she marches into a church in bridal costume, complete with a veil and child’s tiara. She turns to the groom Ahn Woo-jae, played by Go Wook (Business Proposal) — except — he’s not her groom. And this isn’t her wedding. Turns out Woo-jae is Hae-young’s cheating ex, marrying his new girlfriend only a week after going official with their relationship.

Woo-jae is pissed that Hae-young has come to sabotage his (very) new relationship, but Hae-young tells him to chillax. This is a happy day. All as she proceeds to flash the bird in their wedding photos. We cannot help but love a petty queen.

However, despite her best efforts to burn the bridge between her and her ex, she can’t avoid him at work. We see Woo-jae ask Hae-young after her mother’s health, a gesture that’s both boyfriend-y and very off limits for him, and Hae-young wastes no time chewing him out for it. She lets him know that despite the fact that his cheating made their entire relationship a waste of her time, she’ll cooly move on if he just returns the money she spent during their relationship: three hundred thousand won. A shockingly low number if you ask me.

Interacting with this intrusive ex is part of the reason Hae-young ends up starting a fake relationship with convenience store employee Kim Young-dae (Perfect Family). But that only leads to further shenanigans, such as at a wedding hall, where she simultaneously bumps into her ex and the snazzy Young-dae in a suit, asking her in customer service speak, “What do you think, ma’am?”

Will Hae-young be able to pull off her epic revenge plot, or will this whole endeavor end up being an embarrassing waste of her time? Looks like we’ll have to watch this show to find out.

Written by Kim Hye-young (Her Private Life) and directed by Kim Jung-shik (Work Later, Drink Now) tvN’s No Gain No Loss will premiere August 26 on tvN, TVING, and Amazon Prime.

She's awesome!! I'm hoping the script doesn't let her (*and us*) down 😅 It definitely looks fun so far!

Oh. I don't know why I had thought the fake marriage has something to do with a promotion at work and needing a husband to maybe convince or impress the boss... This sounds a lot less interesting.

I would be concerned if I needed a husband to get a promotion or impress the boss though... but I guess in fiction *that* would be more interesting and hopefully subverted.

I understand you. But that premise has a lot of possibilities to explore. While doing it to spite an ex... honestly says a lot about the female lead character which I'm not liking.

Yes! It doesn't reflect any good on FL to try this hard just to impress her trashy ex (surely there are better ways to get back at him than making a clown of herself). Also, she wouldn't have such problem at all if she didn't do dumbest thing ever by dating her coworker in the first place...

Opps ... revenge against an obviously shi**y ex!? 💨 That just burst the bubble of expectations. I too was under the impression that the contract marriage is related to a promotion at work. 😅

I don't know why it's only occurring to me now, but of course they have KYD's hair like this right now because he's going to get the model makeover at some point.

I'm just going to go with anything they throw at me with this one 🥰 That way I'm just delighted and not disappointed. So bring on all the cheating exs, our girlie can handle them 😍

🧐 Did anyone find it on there yet? Prime has the worst of all my streaming services apps (in terms of finding k-drama content), and it’s only showing me a movie with Mark Wahlberg when I search for this title 😂🙄 (No thanks!)

Could be another HEARTBEAT disaster, where it got licensed months later in my region… I’m prepared. 🥺

All the past K-dramas only seem to show up the day it's released.

I was watching a TVN video with this cast to see their chemistry and I couldn't focus because of the filter... They made their faces looking so blurred and white. It was really distracting.

Shin Min-Ah is beautiful, I really hope they didn't use it in the drama! Let's women (not even old) being free from filters, please!

I love these posters so much! I’m such a sucker for a monochrome look 💛❤️💙💜

I like the posters! I wasn't thinking of watching this drama (at least for the moment) but the posters have been effective. Now I'm a little more interested.
