Reasons to watch: They had me at the posters. No, really. But honestly, between the cast and the fun premise, I was already tuning in — the posters just sealed the deal. Uhm Tae-gu — finally in a dramaland rom-com — plays a sweet reformed mobster who falls head over heels for kid’s content creator Han Sun-hwa. Our drama wouldn’t be complete without a love triangle, so they tossed in Kwon “always a prosecutor” Yul. And while I want more for him, I also want to see him bickering with Uhm Tae-gu, so this is a win-win in my books.
TL;DR: Uhm Tae-gu is finally in a rom-com

I love that picture and I'm hoping this is sweet and fun. I AM, however, curious as to why the English title is about the ML when the original Korean title is about the FL 🧐

I take your point about shifting the focus onto the ML, but I think that "The Woman Who Plays" sound a little sketchy in English. Plays with WHAT? Plays around? It's unfortunate.
Let's re-re-name it!

You see... my only problem with this is that NOW, to those of us that remember, there will be TWO Lobster dramas... the old one, when those of us that watched Legend of the Blue Sea live changed the acronym LOTBS to Lobster, because ofc we did, and the new era Lobster, as this will no doubt also simply be shortened to as well... because you (royal we, I, we all, whoever) either keep the long name out of spite (It's still Flowers that Bloom at Night to ME), or shorten it as much as possible 🤣. Lobster in white butter²... 🤭

I had no idea Mobster was another word for gangster, so my brain automatically turned it to Lobster. This show will definetly be the "lobster" drama in my head.

In deference to our sunbae beanies, we will try to make a distinction between the Lobsters, lol 🦞🦞 I think it's already happening (Thirsty Lobster anyone?! @enriquequierecagar) This drama is likely to end up with multiple reference names.
I too stubbornly hold on to titles (longish or otherwise) that I prefer, which probably drives my fellow beanies crazy, but ah well 🙃

Same. And I'm also curious where the obsession with possessive pronouns comes from. I only remember the word "My" (나의) from My Ahjussi and My Liberation Diary. Adjectives like "lovely" or "sweet" coming out of nowhere is another mystery.

Indeed! I'll take Kwon "always a prosecutor" Yul anyway we can get him since he's so good at being second lead heartache to us (in a good way)! Heck, he can even get a job when he retires from acting as a (you guessed it!) This really sounds fun (is going to be fun) so let it begin!

I just saw episode 1. Just because I wanted to start a funny rom-com.
This episode hasn't worked for me but I want to see Episode 2 or even 3 and 4 and then I'll decide.
16 episodes could be too much for this show, and I could easily get bored with the bad guys.
