Premiere Watch: Miss Night and Day

Time slot: Saturday-Sunday
Broadcaster: JTBC
Genre: Fantasy, rom-com, mystery
Episode count: 16
Global streamer: Netflix

Reasons to watch: The drama gods are back delivering us another rom-com, and this one smacks of OG goodness. Jung Eun-ji plays our job-seeking heroine who one day starts transforming into the form of Lee Jung-eun during the day, at night returning to hers 20s form. Being the ultra-competent Lee Jung-eun gets her a job right away, but our hero (Choi Jin-hyuk, yasss) starts sniffing out the mystery. Ripe for hijinks, comedy, heart, and romance, perhaps this drama can fill the Lovely Runner-shaped hole in dramaland right now? Either way, my suspension of disbelief lever is pulled and ready to go.

TL;DR: Jung Eun-ji and Lee Jung-eun play two versions of our body-shifting heroine in some casting that is *chef’s kiss*

I hope this is as funny as the premise seems to be. I like how imaginative it seems to be and I really like that an older actress has an opportunity to play this kinda role which seems so out of the norm.

I really hope this is a good one.

I'm not interested in the male lead at all but I am interested in the supporting cast haha. Seems like they might be a bit wacky or at least have wacky comments.0

I think my attitude is: cautiously optimistic? 😂 Excited for Choi Jin-hyuk and to see how the dual-FL role plays out!

Since I love all three leads, I'd say I am optimistically optimistic. 👍🤭😊❤

Someone joked that this is a K-drama version of Howl's Moving Castle and I'm now 1000x more invested.

If only it could have the depth and the feminist, anti-war and compassionate elements of H’sMC! We should be so lucky!

I'm totally on board with this day-night OTP trio. Obviously there has to be some kind of magic involved and if it is what we think it is then I'm stoked!! 😎

OK I watched the second episode and I am taking it back. Now I know there are rom coms that can do realistic conflict without bringing in external forces that don’t happen in real life I am sticking with those ones and walking away. I am soooooooo upset and disappointed.

Binge worthy. Five stars. The actor playing the older day character very good. The entire ensemble excellent actors.
