Get ready to be charmed by the master swindlers of Player 2

New promotions have dropped for tvN’s upcoming sequel Player 2: Master of Swindlers. Reprising his role as the suave Kang Ha-ri is Song Seung-heon (Black Knight), and returning to his side are crew members Lee Shi-un (Bad Prosecutor) and Tae Won-seok (My Demon). While their original driver has left, Jang Gyuri (Pyramid Game) will be joining the team, adding a fresh face to their dynamic.

The teaser opens with Ha-ri watching over the city and asking if they’ve been well. Hacker Im Byung-min (Lee Shi-un) cackles in response, muscle Do Jin-woong (Tae Won-seok) winks at his opponent, and driver Cha Jae-yi (Jang Gyuri) races through the streets. It’s time for the gang to get back to work, and our four swindlers laugh as they throw a pile of cash into the air. Oh, they’re going to be a riot.

As our heroes go through various cons from art fraud to religious leader, Jung Soo-min, played by Oh Yeon-seo (Cafe Minamdang), rolls her eyes at these bunch of liars. However, the smile on her face suggests that she isn’t completely immune to Ha-ri’s charms.

The team is in for a new, bigger, faster game filled with rooftop jumps, alleyway fights, and car chases. They can’t always win, though, and end up in a few sticky situations — bounded in some cases and crowded in others. Granted, it’s nothing this talented crew can’t handle, and who knows, maybe the world will actually change this time around.

The new poster for the upcoming series showcases our five leads with the tagline: “The powerful ‘swindlers’ are coming!” They also make a cheeky offer to take from those who have a lot because why con the poor when stealing from the rich is much more gratifying.

Directing the sequel will be PD So Jae-hyun (chief producer of Maestra: Strings of Truth) with scripts penned by Park Sang-moon (Dear My Room) and Choi Seul-gi (Overtime). tvN’s Player 2: Master of Swindlers will air June 3 in the Monday-Tuesday slot following Lovely Runner.
