Sol Kyung-gu, Park Eun-bin, Park Byung-eun, Yoon Chan-young
- Filming has officially commenced for Hyper Knife, lining up Sol Kyung-gu (The Boys, Kill Boksoon), Park Eun-bin (Castaway Diva), Park Byung-eun (The Bequeathed), and Yoon Chan-young (Delivery Man) to lead the new medical crime-thriller. Production is being led by PD Kim Jung-hyun (Crazy Love, Awaken) and writer Kim Sun-hee (God’s Quiz 5). [News1]
- A fun new poster has soared in for JTBC’s Although I’m Not a Hero, introducing our story’s no-longer-super family, who’ll be beginning their power-up journey on May 4. Starring Jang Ki-yong (Now We Are Breaking Up), Chun Woo-hee (Delightfully Deceitful), and Go Du-shim (Twinkling Watermelon) among other talents, the fantasy romance has PD Jo Hyun-tak (Snowdrop, SKY Castle) at the helm with writing by Joo Hwa-mi (Welcome, Marriage Not Dating). [JTBC]
- In the meantime, MBC’s Chief Detective 1958 is now about two weeks away and we can while away the wait with the latest teaser. The period action-comedy will be bringing our ragtag squad of Lee Je-hoon (Taxi Driver 2), Lee Dong-hwi (Big Bet), Choi Woo-sung (Melancholia) and Yoon Hyun-soo (A Good Day to Be a Dog) to our screens come April 19. [MBC]
- Also coming soon is tvN’s timeslip romance Lovely Runner, where we follow our determined fangirl Kim Hye-yoon (Snowdrop) to the past as she tries to rescue (and proclaim her adoring allegiance to) her star idol Byun Woo-seok (Strong Girl Nam-soon). In the new highlight reel, we can also (finally) catch a glimpse of some of the supporting cast as we countdown to the April 8 premiere. [10 Asia]
- Back in the present, a panicking Go Kyung-pyo (D.P. 2) fails to compose himself in JTBC’s No Secrets, struggling to accept his inability to lie in the newest stills. Along with Kang Hanna (Red Heart) and Joo Jong-hyuk (Extraordinary Attorney Woo), the rom-com will be releasing on the first of May, with PD Jang Ji-yeon and writer Choi Kyung-sun leading production. [JTBC]
- ENA’s upcoming Crash delivered new stills as well, showcasing the investigative comedy’s leads, Lee Min-ki (Behind Your Touch), Kwak Sun-young (Moving), and Heo Sung-tae (Bait). Directed by PD Park Joon-woo (Doctor Detective, Taxi Driver 1) with scripts penned by Oh Soo-jin, the series will be starting the patrol for traffic crimes on May 13 next month. [News1, Newsen]

Although I am not a hero, My lovely runner and No Secrets all look worth checking out. I am hoping this is the year of dramas having enough story for their run time.

This year, I plan to watch dramas with enough stories to tell, from beginning to he end. I don't want to watch a drama that goes...so they meet, fall-in-love/solve the case and then same old story or use the kissing/boring stuff to close the hole. The writers should know how to plan for 12-16 episodes.
Thus I am picking Hyper Knife, Chief Detective 1958, and Crash from this lineup.

I'm most interested in this JTBC's rom-com because it will feature a love triangle with adults. FL, ML and FL's ex-boyfriend. I hope that there won't be a typical K-drama plot about adults behaving like inexperienced teenagers. I hope I won't be disappointed again.

I think I'm excited for everything except for Crash hahaha! It will be fun to see Park Eun-bin in a crime thriller, Although I'm Not a Hero has an interesting premise, Lovely Runner looks adorable as ever, and No Secrets seems like it will be hilarious! Hopeful this will be a good crop of dramas.

I'll most likely be watching all of these but... What happened to "The Woman Who Plays"? I've seen no news about it at all, I was very excited for it.

I cannot wait to watch Lee Min Ki"s "Crash" drama series. He seems to be able to find good scripts and I will surely enjoy this show. Thank you for the "news bites" update.

Sol Kyung-gu is another top actor from Chungmuro! I'm glad Park Eun-bin took this role. It looks to be a different kind of challenge for her.
Kang Hanna!❤️
Chun Woo-hee!❤️
