Premiere Watch: A Bloody Lucky Day

Time slot: Monday-Tuesday
Broadcaster: tvN/TVING
Genre: Suspense, thriller, crime
Episode count: 10

Reasons to watch: Ready for a terrifying Yoo Yeon-seok? Cuz I’m not. TVING’s latest series actually screened a few episodes last month at the Busan International Film Festival (BIFF), and will now be gracing the Monday-Tuesday schedule on tvN. With Lee Sung-min as the taxi driver who picks up murderer Yoo Yeon-seok — and Lee Jung-eun as the woman who’s after him for the murder of her son — I don’t think they could have picked three actors that would surpass this casting. It looks to be quite the ride, and I’m sure there will be some twists and turns along the way too.

TL;DR: Tune in if you need to break free from your Yoo Yeon-seok crush

Isn’t Yoo Yeon-seok-sshi carrying the psychopathic vibe a bit too far. Even this promotional photo is giving me creeps.

Lee Sung-min’s almost shy smile is nothing like the canny grandpa in Reborn Rich or the world weary veteran cop in Shadow Detective . The Daesang for smiling excellence goes to Lee Sung-min. 🥇🏆

The cast is compelling. But I don’t think it’s available in my region.
Looks like it’s going to be on Paramount +, whatever that is 😬

It is a US based streamer. I didn't even know they carried kdramas. If you are in the states they are mostly known for Yellowstone series and spinoffs. It is Tyler Sheridan's universe.

yeah I know them. But I thought they were just movies. Didn’t know about the plus. But this was not the name I expected to see along side kdramas.
Sorry, not subscribing to another stream 😭

Coming attractions. Paramount+ also has the streaming rights to TVING’s QUEEN WOO (8 eps).

Darn. Ya win some, ya lose some. And to think I thought of staying off the dark side but even they don't have some of them.

So, this is a drama series?! I saw the trailer a while ago and thought it’s a move given the story seems to be about a ride….

No, I’m not complaining to travel 10 episodes with this cast. When I saw the trailer, I thought Lee Sung-min can totally play Song Kang-ho’s Taxi Driver role.

It would be interesting to see Yoo Yeon Seok as a serial killer. I wonder if this will be available in my subscriptions.

Wouldn't be too much of a surprise - I've seen Yoo Yeon-seok in the horror drama, Soul/Hon, where he played your typical violent rich kdrama high school bully. I think the character had killed a girl and was going to get away with it....until he gets haunted so badly, he lost his mind.

So much for going into dramas without looking at genre or reading synopsis because the first 30 mins I was fooled into thinking it was about a taxi driver getting back on his feet, but towards the middle it took a dark turn and ending on a violent cliffhanger. Not for faint hearted! DROP!
