First look at Jo Seung-woo in JTBC’s Sacred Divorce

The first stills have been released for JTBC’s upcoming legal drama Sacred Divorce, showcasing our shaggy-haired lead Jo Seung-woo (Sisyphus). Based on a popular webtoon, the story follows our hero as he takes on wild divorce cases for his clients while trying to navigate his forties along with his two best friends.

Although he once enjoyed a culturally high-brow career as a classical pianist, the sensitive but free-spirited Shin Sung-han (Jo Seung-woo) suddenly needed a change. As he came into his mid-thirties, he decided to take up law instead and eventually opened a small law office, specializing in divorce.

Working as a divorce lawyer leads Sung-han to encounter the radio DJ Lee Seo-jin – who is played by Han Hye-jin (Let’s Hold Hands and Watch the Sunset). She used to be a weather reporter before she started working in radio and is currently in the process of getting divorced from her husband.

In the role of Jang Hyung-eun, Kim Sung-kyun (Grid) works with Sung-han as his office administrator. Having lost his previous job and now separated from the wife he thought he would be with forever, Hyung-geun has been feeling like he’s lost his way in life.

Rounding out the three-way bromance is Jung Moon-sung’s (One Dollar Lawyer) Jo Jung-shik. From developing apps to trekking across the country, there is no venture that Jung-shik hasn’t tried. But all that he achieved has now been wasted away and his new humbler calling is working as a real-estate agent.

Written by Yoo Young-ah (Thirty-Nine, Boyfriend) with PD Lee Jae-hoon (Run-On, Chief Kim) at the helm, JTBC’s Sacred Divorce premieres March 4, taking over the weekend slot following Agency.

Jo Seung Woo! As a free-spirited lawyer! With the hairstyle I like (but it doesn't look good on him)... specializes on divorce cases... from this writer... *walks away crying*

But the PD is all right? And Han Hye-jin! Ok, I'm sold for now, my only concern is that there are too many divorce lawyer dramas announced this year and we're only in the second of 52 weeks. Yikes

Only saw Run On from PD and it was ok - no more, no less. Dunno the actress. And as a child of VERY messily divorced parents I don't find the main theme appealing at all. Sorry, Jo Seung Woo, call me when you're back to playing piano)))

With Jung Moon-sung in a (presumably) non nasty role a la HOSPITAL PLAYLIST the deal may have been sealed for me.
I like the long locks on JSW. Kim Nam-gil must have started a trend for the 40 something kdrama guys.
Yes, did the word go out somewhere that 2023 is the year for divorce lawyers?

And I love those locks! (and Kim Nam-gil) Go Soo did long hair justice too!

Good catch about long locks Go Soo (44) and also Kim Ji-hoon (41) (hard to believe).

Jo Seung Woo's first love will always be musical theatre. He is currently playing the lead in "The Phantom of the Oprah," so maybe the hair is more for his version of the phantom than this drama.

I don't care about the writer or PD. Jo Seung Woo looks HOT!! I will watch it regardless. *I'm so fickle. I'm sorry*

I did not recognize him with the hair and the glasses. I said who is that guy, lol. That being said only in kdramaland does someone go from music professor on another continent to divorce lawyer at home. Hopefully this is better than his last outing we don't talk about.

I have been waiting for this ever since some leaked pics of his new look was seen online. Glad it’s finally in news.
PD is good. But writer is 🥲
But it’s CSW, so it’s an auto must watch :)
He looks great!

If I recall, the ML was first offered to Namgoong Min who turned it down for Lovers. Anyways, CSW is a worthy choice to take over. And can I just say, he looks sexy and cute here. No comment on the FL, would have liked Bae Doona (well tbh I love their platonic chemistry but lovers omg need that!!).

Or Lee Bo Young, cause they too had platonic chemistry but to lovers ooh. That is if there's romance in here? His drama choices (not that many ngl) have been solid minus a few exceptions cough cough. But he's always watchable and charming!

*cries in Stranger*
Noping out already for the scriptwriter and the goshawful set up.
I might just watch for the hair. But I think it'll be impossible to outdo KNG's hairdo in TTD(o).
