Jeon Yeo-bin and Nana uncover a UFO mystery in Netflix’s Glitch
by solstices
What would you do if the person you loved most suddenly disappeared without a trace? That’s the question that Jeon Yeo-bin (Vincenzo) has to contend with in Netflix’s upcoming drama Glitch. Billed as a mystery thriller that will transcend even the fourth dimension, Glitch promises to take its viewers on an unpredictable ride.
Jeon Yeo-bin plays Hong Ji-hyo, an ordinary woman with a steady job and a faithful boyfriend. However, there’s one aspect to her that’s extraordinary — she has the ability to see aliens. In order to live a normal life, Ji-hyo has ignored this special power for years. Then all of a sudden, her boyfriend of four years, Lee Shi-kook — played by Lee Dong-hwi (Broker) — abruptly vanishes off the face of the Earth.
Nana (Genesis) plays Heo Bora, a streamer whose content centers around mysteries. She was childhood friends with Ji-hyo, but after Ji-hyo went missing for a while in middle school, the pair drifted apart. Shi-kook’s disappearance will bring the two estranged friends back together, as they join hands alongside the members of a UFO forum in order to track him down.
Ji-hyo and Bora’s investigation into the supposed alien kidnapping will have them encountering pseudo-religious cults, witnessing bizarre phenomena, and drawing up absurd conspiracy theories.
Directed by Noh Deok (SF8: Manxin) and written by Jin Han-sae (Extracurricular), the ten-episode drama is slated for an October 7 release on Netflix.

Jeon Yeobin is not recognizable in the short cut. I had to look twice.
It's a sci-fi (cold feet's) and it's SF8 director (good sign) so I want to believe it'll be executed in good fashion here. And, I like the story.

That's just how JYB is. She looks different in all of her shows. I remember watching Vincenzo and Night in Paradise at the same time last year and got a big headache because my brain became tied up trying to reconcile how both characters were played by the same person.
I thought Glitch was supposed to be dark and scary but it instead looks funky with the color palette and Nana's outlandish styling.

Nana's styling especially. I guess we'll be treated to something different from the title tone.

Could be dark, scary, AND funky! Esthetically, this show looks great.

I loved Extracurricular. I hope the writer has another compelling story up his sleeve and can handle whatever sci-fi elements this has.

Extracurricular was a brilliant drama and while Manxin wasn't my favourite SF8 it was well directed. I'm not a huge fan of this premise but it's definitely worth checking out anyway.

Very strong agent of chaos vibes from Nana, a bit like her role in Into the Ring. Curious to see how they balance fun/humor (seems likely there is some looking at the UFO hunters) with more serious portions.
