Bound by tragedy, healing through love in JTBC’s Just Between Lovers

Oh I love the unexpected cute that will, hopefully, counteract some of the heavier melo elements in Just Between Lovers. JTBC’s new melodrama has about three weeks left until its premiere, and the station has released four new teasers to give us a closer look at our leads, played by Junho (Chief Kim) and rookie Won Jin-ah, as well as our first brief glimpses of Lee Ki-woo (Woman of Dignity), Kang Hanna (Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo), and Na Mun-hee (Dear My Friends).

Junho and Won Jin-ah’s characters are bound together through tragedy, both having miraculously survived a horrible accident that claimed the lives of their family members, and to an extent, their futures. Kang-doo, played by Junho, lives a rough life in the back streets after losing his father and his dream of becoming a soccer athlete. He seems a bit hot-headed, getting into fights regularly, even when the odds aren’t in his favor. It’s after one such brawl that he first meets Moon-soo, played by Won Jin-ah, as she warily enters the alley where he’s lying bloody and barely conscious. He narrates, “That wind changed everything.”

Moon-soo narrates the same line offscreen in the next short teaser, as the two sit together on a bench. The female lead holds a similar pain to Kang-doo, having lost her younger sister to what looks like a major accident, but Moon-soo doesn’t wear her scars on her sleeve. It’ll be interesting to see how two people who’ve dealt with their pain so differently come together to heal each other. They certainly look adorable together, when Kang-doo approaches her in the rain to “repay my debt in the alley before,” and he pulls her into a hug.

I thought that Kang Hanna and Lee Ki-woo’s characters were just colleagues at the architecture firm where Moon-soo works, but it look like they also have a shared history, perhaps a relationship that ended badly. She asks whether he would’ve acted differently, to which he replies, “I would’ve stayed, despite everything.” Out of them all, though, Kang-doo sounds the most jaded, asking who will compensate for the suffering of those who have lived miserable lives, and that you have to be crazy to live in this world. Maybe he got it from Yoon Se-ah (Forest of Secrets), who has become his only family after the accident, and though we don’t get to see her in the teasers, we can hear her say that it’s the “weak ones that will get all excited over the trivial things.”

I’m just holding out hope that the romance between Kang-doo and Moon-soo is as cute as the last teaser makes it look, because him getting thrown off kilter by her wordless, motherly actions—like tidying up his hair and buckling his seatbelt—are the cutest thing. Take in the stray, slightly feral puppy and shower him with love, Moon-soo! And I completely agree with the offscreen remarks made about how Kang-doo looks at Moon-soo “the way a man looks at a woman.” The show hasn’t even started and I’m already rooting for these two to be adorable constantly.

Just Between Lovers will air on Mondays and Tuesdays on JTBC, starting on December 11.

Finally!! A show that other Beanies are watching!! It seems that every drama being reviewed on DB right now is one that I'm not watching and am not interested in watching. My #1 passion these days is Just Between Lovers. I absolutely love it and so I'm interested in joining the people who are commenting. I'm going to jump to the end of the 700+ comments now and see what's going on!

Recap for Ep 6 of JBL is out !! Dont miss out on @peeps beautiful recaps and her interpretations !! Check it out and Show Some love :) Feel like you guys are missing out on this.

https://varietyrecaps.wordpress.com/2018/01/14/just-between-lovers-ep-6/

A little excerpt from her comment on ep 6:
I’ve never experienced trauma on this scale before, so I never realised that the reason MoonSoo goes round without dolling up or even never wore a mask before was because of Mom. It reminded me again that pain permeates all part of your lives and affects those close by too. It’s because Mom irrationally believed that her dolling up YeonSoo was the reason she was taken away that she forbids MoonSoo from any beautifying product too. It puts her forlorn gaze at MoonSoo’s masked-face in a whole new perspective for me because now I understand that there’s pain, sorrow and even guilt in it. Pain because it reminds her of YeonSoo, sorrow because of her loss, and guilt, because she’s short-changing the beautiful daughter she has left but she can’t help doing so.

Forgive me - I'm late to the DramaBeans party after falling for JBL in what it felt like all by myself. I loved Junho in Chief Kim and that brought me here. I happen to think he is BRILLIANT so here's a tidbit: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vjEb2RupeD4

3 minutes teaser of Moon soo and Kang doo!
It seems JTBC understand how much we're longing to see them being sweet to each other. I don't understand any words in the teaser, but I know it's good!

SO THIS IS WHERE EVERYONE HAS BEEN HANGING OUT!!! I've been having so many feels over the last 6 weeks without community that it's been spilling out from my ears!

I'm so glad you're all here and talking and sharing. Wish DB was recapping, but I like the single-thread discussion of all things JBL (easier to check.)

I got hooked because the subject matter was so incredibly interesting, and the feelings so intense. I stopped watching US-produced shows about 5 years ago - I found them boring and did not speak to me and my life... who else is stuck on an island, or a superhero, or a medical doctor in a sexed up hospital, or working as a high powered lawyer in a firm, or is filthy rich with billions to waste?

Then kdrama came along and changed my life - there COULD be well-produced Asian shows which featured people above 25 still staying with parents and needing to take care of them, and being filial was a necessity and not an occasional weekend or holiday trip to be trivialised with rude jokes ... I am blown away by these 16 hrs (to come) of pure empathy writing.

The thought behind JBL is amazing -- it writes to deal with social issues of inequality, to discuss the painful aftermath of man-made disasters, to examine post-traumatic stress disorders, to talk about how tragedies have long tails, how people have different coping mechanisms, how survivors may come to resent each other, how the children often bear the sins of their fathers (self-borne or inflicted)...

I'd rather watch this and cry my eyes out than see yet another songster press a button and have their chair swivel around, anyday.

Episode 11 tonight! We're only just past the halfway mark... I'm sure there's more pain to come.

Oh show you can't do this to me! Spoiler alert! Proceed with caution:
Now KD is making me a lot more nervous! What is this whole illness business with KD ? So, we understand he has PTSD and then what else? what was his sister trying to say? Hopefully tomorrow we will know what kind of medicine he has been taking. And I am glad that now it is his sister's turn to help him. I liked her in some of the scenes. She understands him as well. I liked how she quietly drew the curtains around KD when he was with Halmoni after she died.

But show, how much more are you going to make us nervous? Let's have a happy ending!

Just saw ep 11(Raw). Now the perpetual wait for subs begins. Sometimes i wonder as to why we have to wait so much for subs when this drama has such a huge fanbase already.
I consider that my 2018 has begun on a good note since i came across such an amazing drama.

I love how Moo-Soo knows Kang-Doo in her own way. Other people keep telling her that she does know him that well. Of course, she doesn't know everything, but she knows when he's happy and sad just by looking at his face and his eyes. Like when he was in the office and walked away with Yoo-Jin, she totally knew he did it on purpose.

Oh. My. Goodness! The chemistry between Gang-Doo and Moon Soo is scorching! Especially the last scene of ep. 11. I was like, “get a room, already!’ Lol. Both actors are hitting the ball out of the park with their performances. I really ship them in real life.

Part of the reason Gang-Doo was pushing Moon Soo away so much was because he genuinely wanted to give her the chance to walk away from him. But I’m so glad Moon Soo pushed and pushed, she saw through all his denials, gave him the space that he needed, but also knew when not to back down and not let go. She instinctively understands him.

The last scene was so romantic, “I clearly warned you to go away and leave me... now I’m not letting go of this hand”.

Now, I can’t sleep waiting for episode 12.

The Award for the Best Friendship should go to Gang-Doo and Halmoni, they are just so real and so precious.

I know I'm being selfish...but I'm glad the major part of the angst was dealt with in this episode...so we can have all the cute couple moments in the next...but the pills are starting to bother me now
It was so sad to see in the beginning how GD comforted the empty bed as he couldn't the real person. His acting is amazing.
I really thought grandma would write a heartfelt will but LOL it was just a list of chores that had to be done. But I guess that was best for him...she hopes he will continue his life normally and that she can help take his mind off things...in that sense that was the best will she could've written...I hope i'm making sense..I'm not good at writing such things

Poor Gang-Doo. Trapped for several days in the rubble with a corpse, it’s not surprising he went a little nuts. My guess is that he probably found the body as a corpse and his mind tricked him into thinking that the boy was alive; or a more likely scenario, the boy died shortly after Gang-Doo found him, and Gang-Doo has been torturing himself because he couldn’t save that kid.

He needs to accept that there was nothing he could do to save that boy, and then maybe he can forgive himself and find peace. Abusing those pills will only deaden the pain momentarily but not heal it, and halmoni has already warned him that those pills are dangerous.

I’ve noticed that Gang-Doo has developed some kind of complex where he wants to save everyone and thinks of death as the worst possible outcome. When he question Ji Won that is it OK to die because a person is old? My answer would be Yes, of course. Humans weren’t meant to be in this world forever. The most we can hope for is to live as well as we can, and if a person lived a long life, then it most certainly is a blessing. But I guess his grief was too raw. And he wouldn’t have been ready to hear that.

I suspect more clues to the dead boy lies within Moon Soo’s memory. If she can remember what happened underground, as she spent three days with Gang-Doo before being rescued; she can fill in the holes in Gang-Doo’s memory. In reality, they both need therapy. It’s amazing that they’ve done so well without it.

Well, another episode, another day where my heart is ripped open and then mended again. Episode 11 was so good--these just get better and better. I loved that they gave Granny her due--as much as I love the OTP, this episode was all about Gran and Kang Doo, and it was lovely.

Junho. Wow. You think you're impressed, and then he pulls out an episode like this. He showed all the sides of grief--from the in-the-moment disbelief and denial, to the angry and yelling, to the crushing sorrow to the quiet sadness. There were these moments when he'd just let out these little sobs, and your heart would ache. He's really thrown himself into this role--it must have been an extremely tiring, difficult episode to film. He killed it.

Won Jina-ah. Also stellar. Moon Soo had such a quiet but profound presence this whole episode. And her determination to push past KD's mile thick walls was, honestly, inspiring. She was patient, confident and trusted in his feelings for her and in her own gut. I love her. He was there for her in moments she needed him early on, and earned her loyalty in the beginning, but I swear if he told her to go one more time I was gonna whack him so hard and tell her she should listen to him and just leave him to wallow forever. But luckily...

That hand grab. Those words-- Thank god! It's been long enough. Go and be happy you adorable puppies!

I'm not buying this nosebleed stuff. We'll see--It's the writer taking a k drama trope and doing some twist on it. KD will be fine in the end. We'll all be fine. The only reality that exists is the one where they get a happy ending.

Some thoughts on ep 11
- I think Kang Doo was upset about her buying him food because of his damn ego. Men like to provide for others, he then saw himself as a fool that the girl he likes was taking care of him without him knowing. I mean.. do I agree with his reaction .. not really..but I understand.

- When Mary said that Kang doo would be okay and that she knew him and Moon Soo didnt; we later find out she was wrong!. She followed her gut and found him in excrutiating emotional pain and stayed. Good job Moon Soo!

- Kang Doo is now a rich man. Based on his character, he may just donate it to all the victims families instead of getting a nice place for him and Moon Soo to start a family xD

- Nose bleed; I am in the its probably nothing camp. Just for sanity purposes.

- Time to finallllllly see Kang Doo he happy in episode 12 (hopefully!!)

P.s. i am gettin healer vibes like mentioned above with last scene of ep 11

The sister made a slight mention of this but there is a lot to the story of KD being in the rubble for that many days with a corpse. He was the last to be rescued on the 7th day. We saw that there was a little bit of water that MS shared with KD, so perhaps he had access to water for the rest of that time (maybe), but he likely had no food. If he was close to death, it's likely he was truly losing his mind, unable to differentiate what is real and what is not. I can't even begin to fathom how he endured those 7 days.

Posting this here, too!

I’m glad that the show didn’t take us through the funeral and everything else because I’m not sure how I was going to take that, I was seriously a mess the first 10 minutes of this episode, losing someone is never easy and seeing someone going through that heartache trying to live with it.. I just can’t! When he was telling his sister that granny is still breathing, telling her to touch her hand because it’s still warm.. I had to pause this scene because it felt too real, because I just couldn’t see him breaking down like that!

I loved that he told granny that she shouldn’t worry, that when a person dies, they go back to their prettiest time and that her husband would be head over heels for her, I managed to smile here with all that ugly crying! I loved that her letter was just her way of helping Gang-doo get moving and get over this, her instructing him to be happy, her just wanting him to be happy! I also loved that the last thing she told him before going to the hospital is to never listen to anyone else and do what he wants to do with his life, it was an order *CRIES*

Also, it makes me happy to see granny loved by so many people, I loved how everyone thought of her and ended up at her pharmacy with her favorite snacks, them sitting together, remembering her, sharing her stories was just so heart-warming!

I loved that even when Moon-soo wanted to be by Gang-doo’s side and was worried about him, she still let him be, gave him time to grieve his own way, she didn’t force him out of it, she took care of him without him knowing that, she understood that he needed this so it would hurt a little less later, she let him cry all he wanted and so he would smile when he’ll remember granny later, I love that she respected that! The last scene, though, she found him in just the right time, he’s pushing her away but he wants her to stay, he’s vulnerable and needs her the most and I love that she knows that!

And we guessed it right, @giegie0384, it’s all in his head, that boy was already dead when they rescued him, he was trapped for so long that his mind started creating this, it hurts so much to see him feel guilty about something that was never in his hand, he couldn’t save that boy because there was nothing he could do to save him!

I’m starting to get really worried about Gang-doo now, they focused on his nosebleed and medications a bit too much for it to be nothing, I really need him to be alright, he suffered enough, I just need him to be happy, he has to be happy!

Episode 11 really put us through the wringer, I think KD was in tears almost 80 percent of the time. I love it though, the way the show doesn't shy away from that grief. It's so gritty and real, and it's the only logical way for KD as a character to continue. All throughout the episode I kept thinking of what he told JW, that a pain worse than the original hurt is needed before you can heal. MS said the same thing too, about how KD needed to mourn his loss to move on, something she and her family never did, that's why they couldn't heal from their loss. That juxtaposition was done beautifully.

I love that the drama cut to maybe a few weeks after Granny's death, it showed us just the tail end of his downward spiral, because tbh any more than that and it really would have been to painful for us to watch. It didn't sugar-coat KD's grief but it didn't romanticise it either, and I'm so happy to see MS hanging on so steadfastly while KD needed his space. I'm also happy to see granny giving him a list of things to do, she knows him too well, and knows that it's what he needs to keep functioning, just a perfect parting gift for him. I teared up through almost all of the scenes lol, but that flashback when Granny said she'll wait for him so he needs to take his time really made me cry. It's such a beautiful parallel to him telling her to never forget him. Ugh. This episodes just hurts so beautofully.

With a downward spiral, you either fall and you break or you pull yourself back up again, and even though Mari was right in saying that KD was a resilient survivor, he's been craving the affection that MS is willing to give for so long. How long can he survive by himself? It's like Granny's death is the final push for him to start thinking of himself and to start trying to heal again, and taking MS's hand in the last scene was the perfect metaphor.

This drama has done so well at keeping me pleasantly surprised, yet I still hesitate not to worry about those dang pills until the very end. It's just that Kdrama Dread I can't seem to shake lol. I really hope this is the start of KD's healing process. Throw in a therapist while you're at it, show.

I was thinking that I like how the tables have turned and that much needed changes have taken place.

- Gang Doo made use of Yoo Jin's arrival to escape from Moon Soo, whereas before YJ had tried to use/manipulate GD.

- The best part was CEO Jeong getting it in his face from GD after all the criminal ill-treatment/unfair treatment that Jeong had bestowed on GD. Also that Jeong gets chastened by Mari finally.

- And on the nicer side, Wan Jin's getting the warm treatment from her assistant who used to slime her.

- We also get to see that GD's sister is not only all cold and unsympathetic, but is concerned for GD who has cared for her and been proud of her all the time.

- And best of all, we have Halmeom, even in death, able to turn GD from a lost and clingy boy into a man with purpose, who is able to start recognising that he is entitled to some happiness too.

A lovely episode of many very heartfelt turns and encounters, and a lovely portrayal of grief in its many human moments. Now it's time for our beloved characters to rise above the pain. 😄

Sharing my reply to @azzo1 JBL Talk post:
what struck me more than all of GD’s crying or OTP moments were:
1.his “goodbye” talk to Halmom (when his sister pulled the curtains around them) 😭
2. GD reading Halmom’s last letter
– I’m so glad it wasn’t a real goodbye letter but instructions but man the dam broke when the last line was shown : “With Everything You Have, Be Happy”😭
3. GD remembering their last talk before Halmom’s hospital stay
– glad Halmom admitted that she was scared,it was an acknowledgement that I feel will help GD in the long run. Halmom was scared of the operation, but she’s doing it and not simply for GD.our Boy doesn’t need more guilty feelings.
4. Ma-Ri (Mary)’s scenes
– when she talked to MS
– and the outburst that Dir Jeong had; because she’s she’s right, “Mama (our Halmom) is only one,out of hundreds and thousands

I’m proud to say I didn’t cry as much as I expected.

I particularly appreciated the inclusion of KD's reaction to JW's remark. I've been in that exact situation and although I know people were sincerely trying to comfort me, it angered and upset me. Just because a person is old doesn't make their loss any less painful. Halmoni had such spunk and found joy in her life as much as she could. Sure she said she was prepared to die (and meet her husband) but she was still a human being. Someone who had so many people who surrounded and loved her. She had impacted so many people and her advice stuck with them. All of that is put to a halt now that she's gone. So it's no comfort for KD knowing she died at an elderly age. She was his best friend and her loss is all that rings in his head right now.

AGAIN it's in those little moments in this episode. One of the most striking moments was when SM walked out and KD opened his eyes, but then once he closed them a tear fell. BEAUTIFUL! I love love love how the writers/production team include these scenes. They're so brief but they're memorable.

There is this tight feeling in my chest after watching ep. 11. It's a mix of feeling sad and warmness. It's amazing how they show the life of someone dealing with grief trying to go on, because life goes on for him. It kind of stopped for a bit in his head, in denial. But in the end, time still goes on for him. That scene when he finally let go of grandma, saying to her to curse him if they meet again in the afterlife. That's him letting her go.
I always love his scenes with grandma. I laughed and cried at the same time during their scenes. It was all bittersweet and real. I love their relationship.
That scene when people come to see grandma bringing flowers and reminiscing their moments with grandma. That felt so relatable, somehow. She touched so many lives and people will always remember her. Sometimes after years, I would feel like she's still there... wouldn't it? Looking at where she usually sit.
Kang Doo was pretty much her son. They understood and needed each other. "Why would I open my head by force because of you?" that's her consoling him if anything happens it's not his fault. They both have the same bad temper lol When KD gave that forced smile to her... ah.... ;A;
Ah... there are a lot more I want to say. Stories about grieving a family (or family-like people around you) hits me hard everytime. This ep kind of reminded me the feeling I had with Dear My Friends.

Other things :
- I love how we got admirable women in this drama. I love them, especially our girl Moon Soo. She didn't back down when KD was trying to deal with his grief in his own way. She knew she had to knock some sense into him as well when the time comes. KD can be too hard on himself. Maybe he is scared to be happy. Sometimes when things get too good for you, you'll be scared a huge storm will come. I think he's scared like that. He might think having someone like MS to care for him was way too good for it to happen.
- I actually like Yoo Jin and Kang Doo's relationship in this drama. It's kind of strange but also ... idk. They just seemed like they could really be good friends. It's fun to see.
- Yes, no matter how old the person is, it's still sad. It doesn't make it any less sad that someone you love who is already old of age to die. Doesn't matter if we all are gonna day one day, that's not the point, CEO.
- "Moon Soo told me not to tell you. Oops. I told you" SANG MAN LOL XD I love Sang Man.
- I'm kiiind of worried about KD's nosebleed but I also feel like the writer is trolling with us. I have a feeling he might actually be sick but it's not that big? Like, it's so that he won't take those pills anymore? Grandma said "I won't wait for you so take your time coming to me." She wants you to live and love, Kang Doo! Also Sang Man in previous ep and asked KD to live long with him. So yeah. That's me reassuring myself.
- Wan Jin and the assistant. Love is blooming~~
- More romance is coming from our puppies next ep...

I love this show so much! And this episode...oh my God, the parallels to grief and mourning just about tore my heart to shreds. It means so much that Moon Soo realises how her family didn’t grieve over the younger sister, and to a lesser extent, Moon Soo herself, so much as implode. Mum and Dad are stuck in their lives, unable to move forward, and Moon Soo was right there with them until she started taking steps to really live her life.

And it’s so refreshing to see a female lead be aware of her own situation ie the dating/not yet dating part. And Wan Jin is just an awesome best friend.

But what I really liked about this episode the most is how it shows there are different ways of grieving. Some shut down, some remember the dead with smiles, while others wail and shout with sadness. There’s no right way or wrong way (as long as you’re not a danger to yourself and others, of course). I loved how Madame showed us her own history with KD and how those memories relate directly to what she thinks of him, scared but ultimately strong, and in contrast, despite being repeatedly told Moon Soo doesn’t know Kang Do very well, she still knew when to step back and give him space and when to actually hold her ground because of her own experience with him. No two people can ever know one person the exact same way, of course.

Damn, I love this way.

Except for the part where I’m now worried for KD’s liver, or whatever organ his medication is messing with. But I’m just reassuring myself that this is a healing drama and it’d a cop out and an insult to this beautiful show if they’ll use KD’s death to bring closure to MS. Nope.

And I’m not particularly thrilled with MS’s parents and how they’ll definitely react to their daughter dating KD. Perfectly understandable that they’d want their remaining child to live happily, without worrying about money, and IF KD will be more financially secure in the future and the parents will like him then, I still won’t blame them. Still, I really hope they’ll get over their prejudice and see how KD makes MS happy, and he’s such a fantastic person all on his own, a worthy partner for their equally amazing daughter.

Have I mentioned how much I love the fact that MS keeps on defending KD to other people trying to put him down (even to KD himself?) Like, damn, it’s not just because he’s the romantic partner but because he really is a great dude who respects boundaries, works hard, and understands the importance of CONSENT! ^^

Annnd I think I officially like Yoo Jin. I love how she pretty much outed KD's scene in front of MS by saying she had no idea what he was talking about. Lol.

Now I want her to be happy too! She needs to move on from JW, that'll never work out me thinks. She's such a lonely person too so hopefully by the end of the drama she'll be happier. I just realized she rarely genuinely smiles out of happiness. Well, KD makes her smile but I think that's more due to the fact that she finds him intriguing...but he's taken already. 😋

I’m now even more curious about KD’s 7 days in the wreckage, thanks to younger sister. Negl, I thought he’d eaten the corpse to stay alive, which would explain a lot about his guilt and psychopathy, but I’m so glad I’m wrong. Too much reading of a lot of dark books and manga lately, I guess. Anyway, the kid would have haemorrhaged very quickly losing knee-foot like that and gone into shock.

I briefly thought KD first saw the kid before MS, but that doesn’t make sense now because then he’d have to hide the body. But then why didn’t the guy (forgot his name, sorry!) speak with GD and MS for 3 days if he was just nearby and calling for help? Especially since the three of them were in the same area when the accident happened. I assume the guy lost his foot when MS was rescued and part of the wall collapsed...either we’re missing some detail or they didn’t think the timeline through. It’s possible all three of them were together, since the drama likes and is good at editing scenes into puzzle pieces for us. Still, KD seems so surprised to see that guy when the rubble fell after MS was rescued! Should I just watch those scenes again and compare backgrounds and rock formations??? Hahahaha I am actually serious XD

I've been thinking of this couple as the 🍦 ice-cream
🍨 couple for some time. 🍧 And this Ep 12 really confirms it for me! LOL. 😋

A somewhat tangential thought on Ep 11: did anyone notice how cleverly the soundtrack was used in this episode (maybe in others; I just now noticed). Especially in the scenes where MS is out looking for GD, and then he is out following Granny's orders---it felt to me at least like the soundtrack gave off the same vibe as the songs that normally play in dramas when couples reunite. Like I kept thinking the music was cueing up for GD and MS to run into each other...but that's not quite how it went. But I also felt like I was really in tune with how MS must have been feeling --- she must have kept thinking she would run into GD on her search, too (like the music made me think she would). Anyway I don't know if that's all just in my head, but it was really masterfully done, I thought. Major props to the music direction.

Just finished episode 11 and I'm really thankful for this great and emotional episode.
My own grandmother died two weeks ago and I agree with Gang Doo: age doesn't matter, it is hard to let loved ones go. The first 10 minutes felt so real to me and I was crying along all the time. Throughout the whole drama Junho always did a great job in showing raw emotions, but he was especially good in this episode.
And I'm so glad that Moon Soo stayed at his side and didn't waver because of his words. In my opinion, putting the own ego behind to help another person is a sign of great strength. I'm really glad that Moon Soo is such a strong person so Gang Doo can also rely on her.

Thinking on KD's sister I think she's jealous. She's really all alone in a house that only she thinks has memories worth remembering and then she sees KD surrounded by all these people who just wholly love him. It must make her feel even more isolated although in some ways it's of her own making.

Random thoughts about ep11

Moon Soo's character will probably be my favorite female character in the drama land. She's so sure about her love to Kang Doo and so confident that Kang Doo loves her back despite him pushing her away. She is so stubborn and persistent in opening Kang Doo's heart. Not a typical female character in the dramaland. (damsel, candy, princessy who'll just wait for his prince to arrive). Even Mari's character is great.

I think I have a girl crush on Won Jin Ah. She's so innocent looking, adorable and her aegyo were so subtle and cute.

I laughed at Somi's reaction at MS over confidence about KD's love to her. ("Unni, are you that confident? 😁)

Junho amazes me with his acting skill. 👏👏👏 KD's goodbye convo to halmeom really touched my heart.

Does anyone know the song playing in the background while KD and YJ were talking at the convenience store?

I just finished ep 11, and I just have to say I'm so glad that they didn't actually show the exact moment that granny died.
I had tears in my eyes through the whole episode, but I LOVED how steadfast Moon-soo is.
