To be honest, i only watch EOE for SSH and LYH,

I don't get why people hate EOE so much but keep watching it till the end!

To set the record straight ,I do not hate EOE.Just disappointed with the story. I for one is not one who give up a drama half way. I need to see the end to give the drama a fair chance for the final verdict and satisfy myself that I made the right one.

Truelove, because EOE is more than just SSH and LYH, although they're making it out to be all about them.... its cast has veteran actors and respected and very talented younger ones... that's why other people either endure or enjoy and still watch it.

Also, if disappointed, why keep mum about it? Potential viewers deserve to know not only of the praises but to know the reality behind the hype on EOE.

The best actor in EOE was Kim Bum. Hands down.

Ditto, I don't HATE EOE, just disappointed and don't care much about the hype. For those die hard fans, watch it till the end. For those who are not to crazy about it, some elect to watch the ending hoping it will redeem itself, some choose not to watch at all. For me, I will probably watch bits & pieces of it and call it a day.

All criticisms aside, I'm really fond of EOE. Through the first half of the show, I felt it did good job perpetuating the feeling that the hatred was bigger than Shin Tae Hwan. Then when the secrets came out, you could really feel the disarray and despair in the characters, coming to grips that their raisons d'entre was made into a cruel perversity. When Eden switched writers, the crime parts of the show had a grit and malevolence that wasn't achieved even in shows like Time of Dog and Wolf. It was mean, taut, and for once we got to see Lee Dong Chul caught in the act of compromise, and President Guk in his right fearfulness.

To a degree, both BBF (which perhaps has more problems than EOE) and EOE are critic proof for me. You either accept the show for what it is or you don't. And if you didn't, the show must have been a painful experience.

BBF glasses off, I think that goes to either Jo Min Ki or Yoo Dong Geun. Kim Bum was great, but he also was in the most exciting part of the story.

This is the first time that i watch unfinish drama, what can i say, too much stressful in term of time waiting as well as plots complaining, I better not next time.
Beside, i think i owe a sorry world for those who not LDH fans, your opinion ofcourse fair and interesting to read and ofcouse straigh.

Well,for me I love the drama very much even though i don't know the actors and actresses.I started watching it last december because i got feed up with all the sweety pie stories in kdrama.IT turn out that it's good for it makes you think what will happen next,you cannot predict what's the writers and pd do next. Character SMH,KJH,LDW,STW,the 2 mother,gook and rebecca were very good except the main lead for sure that is very irritating to the extent.The 2 switch character at birth were excellent on delivering their lines/acting no matter what they made for them such as several times sabotaging their character from good to bad they are great.All in all I cried so much OR i would say bucketts of tears was spent on this drama for me especially the revelation time onwards for every episode becoming more and more intense and i am looking forward with the ending today.NO matter what EOE will remain on my thoughts and mind inspite of the plot flow inadequacy.

EOE has been a roller coaster ride for me. Lots of excitement in the beginning, looses its thrill in the middle and hopping for a safe and not a bumpy ride in the end. LYH is not the right choice for the role in my opinion. She is okay as a young teenager YR but very dull and unimpressive as the adult YR.

I am from Korea. I don't like LYH. She is not very popular in korea. My mother and sisters ,cousins say that EOE is not a good drama.Sorry for my very bad english.Wish I can express more in korean about her acting

I thought the whole cast did great. I was convinced with everyone's ability to act which explains why I shed lots of tears. East of Eden will always be a perfect drama for me. I don't think the ratings would have dropped if BOF didn't air. EOE made me smile, laugh and cry (what else can there be).

I can't wait for the ending!

They kinda took each other out. EOE didn't get a consistent run at 30s that it probably needed to make MBC money. And BOF . . . well, Monday EoE didn't air, and it finally got to breathe, landing a mighty 35.

I think this drama is a brilliant drama. i have never been very touched like when i watched it, especially in these last episodes. i've seen them since they're kid, their struggles for revenge (2 different way, but 1 same mission), how they try to accept the truth (this is the most heart breaking part)..

i really pity all the charasters in it. all of them have doesnt-make-sense-miserable life. and if DC dies, it really not fair to him.. he gaves up all his life for the people around him. *crying*

it is a briliiant drama. i'll buy the DVD as to keep it forever.

EOE is just a brilliant drama. if you're seeking for normal love triangle like in every-each kdrama, sorry, this drama is not for u. u can find it in hundreds other dramas. EofE is just EofE alone, no other drama can be compared to it. it is in other category.

i personally like it as i like Dae Jang Geum. it is just DIFFERENT and unique... i think it'll be one of the drama that'll be remembered.

Yeon Jung-hoon!!! <3 <3 <3 And Park Hae Jin~ That's what I'm taking with me from East of Eden... I'm grateful that this drama introduced me to those two great actors. I'll always be disappointed at storyline, how it turned out... still think it could have been so much better. Oh, well it's over now~ Onto the next kdrama!

EOE is quite a good drama.Only the story is not well written.I like MH and JH the most. LYH is not very good .Her acting skllls needs improving.The writer should have written her out of the series when she got married to mike. Then DC will have more space to breathe without her chasing him .Thats all it is in their love affair.Even if he is alone in the end. I find her annoying .cannot love this couple.

i love every bits of it. yes, this drama is just VERY different from other dramas. its really worth all the killing waiting and buckets of tears. i just love every parts of it. the brother loves, DC+YR loves lines, the birth switch. it really worth watching this in 6months? i've lost my counts. haha..

but i love this drama and kinda feel sad when it ends. i wish i could thank all the actors for all their works for this EXCELLENT drama. wish there would be more drama like this than just a simple love triangle of rich-poor or amnesia or terminal-ill storyline..

EOE is never the same after Lee da hee left the show. It could have been different had she stayed on.Even SSh and YJH admitted it in the conference..Her acting is way superior than LYH. But I am looking forward to seeing the end. What a ride!

i havent watch yesterday's episodes yet. i'm forcing myself to stay patient and watch the last episodes in a row.

really, this drama is amazing in manipulating my emotions. i forgot when was my last time crying so much like this for a drama. the point that i love most is that i cried for many reasons. not like when i watched winter sonata=its solely for love. but this drama, i cried for a cruel fate of a loving family, their brotherly relationship, their revenge for their father. i cried for their strength, their emotions and also on YRDC relationship.

but i agree, there are some dragging parts, especially about YR-Mike's wedding and mike's family story. i think mike's characters shouldnt be developed that much.

but all in all, i conclude this drama as 4.8/5.0 it is one of the drama that wont be forgotten.

Wait a minute, was that LDH have less time screen, her character not well developed ect,.. if that the cases then i could not see that she made a huge different while she off the show, Oh maybe just your personal opinion!

I am one of those who did not like YR DC love line. overall for the rest of the drama is good and I like it.I just cannot relate to all the running around love story. 56 episodes to find the end of the circle is just tedious.

i'm very glad i watched this drama. after all this 7 months, it really worth watching it. i'm proud of myself coz i managed to finished it. this is the longest drama i've ever watched so far and i love it so much. perhaps also one of the best since its so different with other drama.

ps: i enjoy readingcomments, excepts comments from a certain fan(ehem, everyone knows who). other than that, the comments are straight and relevant.

I like PHJ.He is SOOOOOOOOOO good. Best actor in EOE.I respect SSh for admitting his flaws. That is wow great.LHY should do the same.

i just love how they can express their feeling so much that it was always touching and make me cried. thumbs up for all teh characters! but i agree there are some dragginess in there. anyway, i'm so glad YR+DC are finally together although maybe bittersweet ending. they really deserve it since their love is just so strong.

and i hope MH's mom will live together happily with the Lee's family. its sad that why the brothers are fighting over Chun Hee only. she's also a good mother.

I am sad that every one equates negative comments to LDH fans. That is really unfair. Why play the blame game as some one put it. I am PHJ fan and I find LYH acting skill to be lacking. Please wake up to reality and don't turn this into a LDH hate fan thing which is very unfair.If you are no good just improve. Like SSH fans ..This way SSH stands much taller..

east of eden is way better in the first half episode! but in the middle they showed a very disappointing plot! and the most annoying couple Guk-ja couple! i'm not a LDH fan so don't bash me you all LYH fans! and LYH's acting is so weak ! her expression is very limited <crying<smiling<and blinking her eyes!, thats it! when she cries she was like a crying mannequin for me!
SSH acting for me is just so so! but i do expect more of him because he is the lead actor! and it his come back drama! so DAESANG is not for him! and he is a Hallyu Star? so he should improve his acting!

I love EOE, this drama is wonderful after, through a bit dragging out in the midle, due to you know we know factors but it's land safely. congratulation to all actors and attress and to us, the viewers, through you like it or not, this drama still the talk of town for such a long time.

the comments here are either sum up their opinions about EofEden or criticizing LYH/GukJa's couple. its obvious that they're here only to bash LYH or DCYR, nothing more. thats why i agree to certain, that these comments are not one thats worth for reading.

I love EOE but not the middle part. The story is draggy .But looking forward to the ending tonight. As for LYH, I think there is some truth in the comments about her acting. Maybe with more experience later, she will improve. Just take the comments and improve. better luck next time.

ooh, thats very brave of SSH although he doesnt need to admit it in front of everyone, but it still is a good thing. but i think he's not that bad in acting, since he managed to make everyone cried for him. isnt that a sign that his acting is convincing?

ok, all in all, i think EOE is a very good drama. although there are some dragging parts (but it cant be helped anyway, it Kdrama!!) but the storyline is seriously awesome. of course, i cried on and on in most of the episodes. one thing i really hope they all have a happy ending. please2 skip the bittersweet ending.. i would give 9.9/10 if the ending is happy.

LYH is not ready for a major role in a drama.her performance proven it in EOE.Just take it with a pinch of salt and improve.Instead of calling others Antis LYH.The verdict is given so accept it and better performance next time around.HJH has done it so I don't see why LYH cannot too.

EOE... what can I say other than the drama has his own league of it's own. It's different from the normal kdrama with love triangle,terminal illness or poor to rich girl stories.

Lots of emotion psychologically,hatred,revenge,families,forgiveness,politically incline I would say for it deals with social issues of the society not only in korea but all over the world if you analyze it,etc.

I began watching it last late december as recommeded by my friend online. I don't know the actors and actresseses at first but I think it helps when you don't know any of them so that you can fairly judge how they act. It is true that the storyline is somewhat lost maybe the writers and pd have difficulty for they kept sabotaging some of the characters. But for me great acting from SMH,YJH,KJH,YCH,Rebecca,STW and shin tae wan's wife.Main lead was overshadowed by the 2 actor's in the switch birth in terms of acting.I don't expect it to be a great drama but boy I cried bucketts of tears especially with the revelation time and it became more and more intense for yuo don't know what will happen next.

DC acting is average for me but not enough,YR very flat emotion, I think it's the wrong choice of actress to portray this one.But all in all EOE alone can stand on her own and I can't compare it with other kdramas.I am looking forward with the ending this evening and hopefully I can buy a DVD on this with english subtitles as one of my collection.

that person have different weird-alphabatical names, but pointing the same point over and over in every 10 minutes (?). very hardworking and have plenty of time. i know u read this. if u want to take my advice: just stop, we pity u..

why some of LYH fans keep on blaming LDH fans? WAKE UP! Lee Yeon hee acting is very annoying! "lack of emotions" come on you LYH fans you should stop blaming some fans of LDH, your idol needs to improve her acting skills! she made a drama before this so why she is not improving her acting?

and i want to praise PHJ and HJH okay even LDH for showing a great performance in this show!

PHJ at first i hated his character "rapist" but his emotion is really believable, especially when he found out his real identity. i can feel his anger and his sadness!

HJH she delivers her character with guts! i like her character represents a very strong lady who will fight for the right!

as for LDH admit it people she really gave justice for her role MIn Hye-rin but MBC didn't follow the plot of her character!

despite of all the criticize LYH (yeah, agree to 0505, i think they're the same person) get, i think this girl is not bad in acting. the best, still far away. but her acting is far from bad. i like her in millionaire's 1st love and continue to like her in EofE. and yes, i love DCYR relationship very much. but apart from that, the main plot itself is very interesting.

i think EofE is a great drama. this drama is just very different from other drama. it sure is not some drama u'll forget easily. a big clap for all the crew members!!!!

One thing thats really frustrating is that after so much effort in a series they just end it with the death of the character and to think that its not really necessary to kill it and 'm not just saying abt this series but i've seen a lot of Kdrama that i end up hating the writer and director for giving me a bad ending....peace!

i think this drama is very good. too bad the time clashed with BBF which is also very addictive. but yeah, like everyone said, EOE is not just a drama u'll easily forget later on like other dramas.

Good Riddance! I won't miss EOE at all! I can't believe I wasted 10 weeks watching this drama but I finally had enough and quit and it was the best decision of my kdrama life.

To be frank, LDH's appearance is only as supporting, doesn't effect too much .. so no need to talk on that .. I'm actually happy she left the drama, and relax herself ..

For EOE, the major attractor is Kim Bum's potrayal of young DC in the beginning which SSH failed to continue .. Love the kid ..

Anyway, the drama is going to end..finally .. Good to have some new drama's to change our mood ..

My final verdict after the last episode-Not so bad,.Only weakness is they choose the wrong actress for YR. I quite like the ending and the finale of EOE.

@97; LDH as supporting but what I read earlier before they do the drama LDH as lead actress. Erm...
