Watching the premiere, I can see why this isn't getting covered. Feeling bad for the actors.

I'm the only one who had a Shut Up Flower Boy Band flashback at the end of the episode 2?

You are not the only one. If a well-timed car 🚗 had saved him we could have enjoyed the guy liner a bit more. 🙃😅 But then it would have been another drama. How are you enjoying this one.

Not sure I'm really enjoying it 😅

I'm kinda perplexed, I don't really think the cosmetic - cop angle works. So, the plot is pretty far-fetched.

But I like the characters.

It is a mixed bag for now. I'm hoping the Lee x2 (Min-ki and Yi-kyung) combo will be worth it. 🙃😂

That is a very good way of looking at it - the combo of those 2 actors has the potential to pull the drama through. C'mon!

Lee #1 is standing up to be counted in episodes 7-8. 😂

I quite enjoyed the first two episodes, finding them easy-to-watch and not so simplistic that I bounced off the "cases of the week" as being OTT or inane (as happened to me with Crash).

It's a joy to see Han Ji-hyun on the screen, I must say...and she's pretty sassy which is nice. Lee Min-ki is doing his stern thing--but the show is already revealing why his character is protecting his heart, and there's promise for it to be intriguing.

I do get the impression that we'll be in Flex x Cop territory with our leads--there'll be tension, but they aren't destined for one another necessarily.

I enjoyed this going in expecting nothing. I like our sassy cop, I always like Lee Minki, and I was very surprised to see a transgender person treated well in a kdrama.

I am liking the respectful approach to the victims. The crimes are not being trivialized and the victims are not ignored. In a round about way - the healing outside scars heals inside scars - in not such a strange motto - in dramaland at least. 😂👍🏻

what was that last drama that had the horrible sound editing...

this drama is the same -- every time someone is not speaking, the ambient/background noise roars, until someone else speaks or the music kicks in.

is this common practice now? it is totally distracting and annoying! which production company produced this drama?

Dr. Cha Jeong-woo fences to get stabbed!! 🙃😂 New trope alert - way to handle past trauma. He was so cool in handling the acid burn victim when he caught her trying to sneak out with the gauze holding scissors.

The ex-boyfriend of the FL cop has a grudge against / is trying to frame uri Dr. Cha!? Waeyo.

The deceased fiancée sure gets a lot of airtime.

My only gripe - where is Lee Yi-kyung. Surely the didn't cast him to play an inconsequential role. Who was his - one true love!? Can he please get some consequential scenes.

The deceased fiancée sure gets a lot of airtime. Ha! For parts like this, I always imagine the dialogue between an actress and her agent:

Agent to actress: “Great news—you’ve been offered a major role as Lee Min-ki’s character’s fiancee in a new series!!. There’s just one catch.”

Actress: “What’s the catch?”

Agent: “Your character is dead”

Actress: “Oh, you mean the drama is a fantasy or a horror series?”

Agent: “Oh no—its a hard hitting, realistic detective story about a partnership between a cosmetic surgeon and a policewoman.”

Actress; “But where does the fiancee come in? “

Agent: “In brief repeated flashbacks and extended scenes of her lying dead in a pool of blood."

Actress: “How is that a major role?”

Agent—“What do you mean? Haven’t you seen kdramas where the writer doesn’t have enough material to fill the whole run? With flashbacks and your dead scene, you’ll have 10 minutes of screen time in every 45 minute episode! You’re nearly the female lead!”

“And what’s more,, you’ll only have to film four scenes that will be repeated over and over, and there are only two lines to memorize: “Oppa” said lovingly, and “I’m sorry Oppa!” said in a strangled voice!!”

Actress: “Well, I kind of wanted to expand my repertoire…”

Agent: “Look, this is going to really test your ability to play dead—the camera will pan over your body numerous times! Its going to challenge you!”

Actress—“But lying in a pool of fake blood during extended filming…”

Agent: “Hey, it will be pre-warmed, non-stick, and infused with light floral fragrance! Think of it as a moisturizer!”

Actress: “Okay. But for my next role, you have to get me that role of a spunky, overachieving computer programmer attracting the eye of a handsome chaebol heir!”

Tbh I was getting a little irritated by this character. Now I will officially look forward to her appearances each episode.

That was hilarious and so much more creative than the show. I will now also try to be more patient during the exxxxxtended flashbacks thinking of the poor actress rising to the challenge of playing dead. LOL. Thank you.

You do realise the bigger part of her role is appearing in the glittery setup dancing while all the flashbacks are just repeated from one clip over and over and this isn't the first KDrama to do it with the dead fiance? If this is truly going to end up shit we'll see something on the level of Partners For Justice. Why is a mother volunteering and calling the man who allegedly traumatized her son a model prisoner. And most of the flashbacks of dead fiance are ML looking like he did it and saw himself in the room and possibly made false memories or someone got plastic surgery.

I'm really liking this episode 5 twist. Whatever the plot conveniences and everyone knows everyone and everything is connected in dramaland I can understand why Lee Min-ki accepted this role and he is really doing his bit. Hwaiting!!

I am really liking the twists and turns. I appreciate the FL being her own Knight ... she's a cop for crying out loud.

For a surgeon, isn't Dr. Cha a bit too careless with his hands. Nonetheless I like how self-aware he is.

And ... 🥁 I definitely have a guess who the really real killer is. 🧐

Ep. 6 and I'm on the fence. I do like Han Ji-hyun in this, as well as the surprisingly progressive (for a kdrama) take in some cases.

But it's becoming rather bland and predictable (with the rather heavy handed case-of-the-week, the villain can't be her brother, it's you-know-who). LMK seems like he's working for the paycheck. Despite hacja's witty recommendation, I am tiring of the woman in the fridge dead fiancée. And I was uncomfortable watching a high schooler get surgery for a six-pack and a woman getting fillers being upsold for surgery. I might be out-of-step with beauty culture.

Through episode 6 as well and am thoroughly enjoying the Cha Jeong-woo brand of locksmithing-by-blunt-instrument. Twice in one week with the crashing and the slamming and the breaking and the entering.

But I do have one question for the Beanies: Didn't we all hear together that the teacher/captor-student/captive duo killed Nam Gi-taek by pushing him off the building? And didn't maknae cop also hear it because our FL had him on the phone the whole time during that scene??

Why are we wondering about this murder any longer? Did they push some other guy off a ledge?

Yup they pushed a completely different guy off the ledge 😂. They were talking about the incident that Jeong-woo's patient mentioned to him - someone in school who was gossiping about the teacher-student duo 'jumped' off a building - but turns out they pushed him.

Episodes 5+6 :

Oh, I'm the first surprised one but I'm finally interested in the story. The last 2 episodes were the most interesting for me.

First, Jung-Woo came out of hibernation! He's active to find the truth about the assault with the delivery man. He wants the truth about his stalker and is proactive to find clues.

The case didn't feel too far-fetched between the investigation and the cosmetic part.

It looks like Min-Hyung is like Min-Seo from Seoul Buster, she was wrong from the guilt of a family member. Smart female cops in KDramas are not lucky, they spent many years angry for nothing.

But she was wrong to hide the truth and elements and always asking him of he wanted revenge. There were many reasons for Jung-Woo to find Jin-Suk.

So, I guess Woo-Jin is becoming a potential suspect and I will have to enjoying him in Marry YOU.

Their positions have reversed and now Lee Min Ki is acting okay while Han Ji Hyun is being very stiff. Logic has taken a hike with their current approach to the past case and the plastic surgery product placement by the Korean ministry of culture is the most interesting thing instead. Who knew so much could be faked?

Everyone, who do you think the murderer is? I am thinking it might be either Lee Yi Kyung's character or Lee Yi Kyung's character. Might also be Lee Yi Kyung's character.

What a mystery....

Also, on what bases is Jung Woo hurt that Min-Hyung did not tell him about her brother? Those two are acquaintances. Him saying she was avoiding him, sounded strange too, because they had talked like twice for five minutes before.

But he was right. She was avoiding him. She refused his help for her wound when they were in front of the clinic. She shut down their conversations.

She's a cop and she knew who was his stalker and she said nothing. It's normal to be disapointed. She hide the truth.

I think they are gonna play with the theory a bit and then it will end up being Lee Yi Kyung all along.

It is nice that the show at least addressed how he has a flashback of standing over the body, but was allegedly in a car accident when the murder happened.

lol. If him constantly stirring up trouble and finding out all the gossip wasn’t a big enough give away. I was confused for a second that it might not be him when the brother was introduced, as I had guessed Lee Yi Kyung was suss from early on.

5-6 were very disappointed! Similar cases every week!! The drama selling us that how badass police she is but that police skips talking next neighbour for a murder investigation and no idea about the guy's prison history! There is a serious script-writer problem in Dramaland :)

Up to episode 8, this show is, indeed, tedious, but I can tell I'm definitely gonna get my bean. It's not Lee Min-ki's stern acting that's holding my attention either (not surprisingly). I actually did care about Han Ji-hyun's oppa. Memories--drug-addled or not--are faulty, and everyone in this show has problems with how they remember the past.

The show runners are alsoe trying to make me think that Lee Yi-kyung had an affair with Lee Min-ki's fiancée and then SLAUGHTERED HER, and that may still be the case...but I want it, sort of badly at this point, for the affair (if any) instead to be with Jeon Bae-soo. There's nothing like having Attorney Woo's single father being the villain in this day and age. What comes around goes around. Just saying.

Episodes 7 + 8

The story became very confused. During the whole time, Jung-Woo where happened his accident... And it looks like nobody got a real memory from this night. I wonder what her mother is hidding. Did she think her son killed his fiancee and tried to protect him by lying? Is she the one who killed the fiancee?

But he escaped one truck of doom to be hit by another one during the same night? He should avoid roads.

Min-Hyung turned as the usual cop who is too involved in the investigation.

Woo-Jin didn't seem to have scratches on him after Hyo Ju's assault. He didn't seem to try to hide his hands or arms neither.

Is the killer of Hye-Jin the same in Hyo Ju's case? Or are they two separate cases?

While all POVs seem confusing and perhaps even deliberately misleading, I'm enjoying the show. 😂 I liked the earlier case-a-week formula and perhaps that would have made a better drama. The dead fiancée is getting a bigger role (rather looped differently) each week. Somehow now I don't even care about the "real" killer. If not one of our two Lees it might me someone different altogether. One thing is for sure everybody is harboring secrets.

I liked it up to episode 6 better too. I liked the cop seeing more in the plastic surgeon and teasing him to push him along. Now she’s just been angsty about her brother and suspecting him and it is much less fun.

I was happy to tag along with this mismatched pair. While the convenient requirement of surgery in each case stretched belief it was still all fun. I just wished for more Lee Yi-kyung's commentary. Let's see if they give him some dramatic scenes too or was he just a red herring all along!! 😂
