Okay, I think Ep 14 was my fave so far! I would groan whenever the drama shifted to the past in previous eps, but I was 100% absorbed this time around. I cried so much I feel like I really need to find a sageuk to cry over. #DwY

Unpopular opinion on dramabeans loll, but I loved Arthdal Chronicles and I’m so sad about all the cast changes!! At least, the main roles, I had years to prepare for, but all the other characters! Ipsaeng, Ragaz, Rottib, Chae-eun, Noon-byul, and so many more I can cryyyy.

    And I’m pretty excited for Lee Jun Ki’s Saya, but not Eunseom loll. I can’t match Eunseom to JunKi’s face.

    I know how you feel.
    I’m a cast change anti fan. lol Especially when it’s almost all the characters.
    I’m like “If they were going to change half of the cast why didn’t they just make a brand new story? What’s the point?”

    You are not alone. While it had its faults, I did enjoy the first season. I was really hoping to be able to watch the second season, but the first two episodes are not fully subbed on the website that shall not be named. I guess the episodes are not available yet on Disney+ in the U.S.

Joseon Attorney is definitely a binge-watch drama. I binged the first 10 eps and loved every second. But today’s ep 11 did not fill up the void I had the past week. All that excitement for nothing! I hope tomorrow’s ep makes up for it. Sorry for the negativity 🙁

Oh my god I am so so thankful for Crash Course in Romance! A true real forreal kdrama romcom? It feels like it’s been forever! And Jung Kyung Ho being the lead makes me feel…nostalgic? It’s so much fun so far, and the colors are so lovely. I love the high school kids’ scenes, the bus rides, and trees, the views. Truly so happy this is on my screen this season. Hearts, hearts, hearts, and more hearts!

    I do like the colors used here as well. I liked seeing the matching outfits of the ML and her best friend/assistance. I think their outfits are all lovely.

    Yes, and yes, that we finally have a real kdrama romcom.

    In addition to the lighting, colour etc, I like a lot the clothing of JDY and her bestie – so comfy and soothing to the eyes.

      Yes! And their clothes’ colors match, too! I really like the styling in this one. There were many pieces that looked quite ordinary but actually have great details.

Today’s episodes of Alchemy (ep3) and Forbidden Marriage (ep4) were a lot of fun. I was iffy about Forbidden Marriage until today. This episode was a riot! I will die with this SLS.

    Forbidden Marriage is just so darned fun! I have terrible SLS, too – much as I like Kim Young-dae and his comic expressions, the King is a goofball with nice pecs while Lee Shin Won is a total, all-around hero. I would love to see this one end with the SML getting the ring for once.

Everything is on pause for New Life Begins. I was counting down the days until Alchemy but I guess not lol. New Life is so full of love, sisterhood, and so much sugar, I can’t put it down!

    I was really bored during the first three episodes, and dropped it for three weeks, but episode 4 really picked it up, and somehow I got through 25 episodes in two days!

      Oh that’s interesting. I actually liked it from the get go, and realized soon enough what they’re foing with women i.e. reversing all tropes and expectations about them, so I stuck for that. I do hear people not initially liking it, so maybe it did get even better while I was already in love lol.

        It just felt really slow at first, and the main couple looked too young for me to enjoy. But I’m so happy it picked up. I think I was just not in the right mood to enjoy it when I first picked it up

    I did the drop everything else and binge watch NLB too it is such a refreshing watch. I am glad you went back to it. The thing I noticed is the mini storylines are never more than 6 episodes so you know there will be a different focus soon.

    Yay for more love for NLB! There is a point in the story when it can be very hard to watch.. and some mini arc takes a bit long time BUT it all will be well again. I really loved it!

Day 4: Biggest Disappointment?
There were a lot, but I’ll go with Alchemy of Souls. There are so few fantasy kdramas so I was really excited, and so disappointed. I can’t even pinpoint why, but something was lacking. Looking forward to season 2 iA, but I hope it feels smoother. Whatever that means.

Day 6: OSTs

      Can’t say you’re in the minority though.. there are a lot of Beans who didn’t end up loving this one as me and some Beanies did. But to see another Beanie entering the rabbit whole just made me feel a little bit giddy. 😁

        Well considering how it was so popular in China and internationally, I will say alasecond is in the minority 😛
        Not liking the genre is one thing but I’ve seen very few people who have finished the show and think it is overrated(still not saying its bad).

        Regarding it being like every other xianxia, I think the show did not intend to do something entirely unique. It just did it with a lot of heart and effort so that each aspect has something slightly different from the usual fare. So i guess anyone who hasn’t watched this genre will find it unique but those who have will be familiar with the tropes. And tropes done well and also turned on their head can come out brilliantly. But clearly if one looks for something unique, that’s not the case here on the surface. But can be in the details. I’ve seen some clips and heard it is especially similar to Ashes of Love.

      It kind of is like every other xianxia haha, but I still enjoyed it a lot. The watercolor-esque cgi and the adorable OTP is what kept me there.

It’s been so hard to get into kdramas recently, and I’ve been obsessing over so many varieties. Let me tell you how I screamed when DongJun and YoungK popped up randomly in Baek-packer Chef! My eyes have been blessed, and what a surprise wow.

I don\’t know what to do with myself. I\’m going to miss the cast so much. All the BTS and netflix promotions with this cast was so lovely. Nam Ji Hyun in this role is so different. She felt so mature and grown up, and I loved watching her on and off screen. Her chemistry with Go Eun is the best I\’ve seen in a long time. I WILL MISS THEM. Bye. And Choi Do Il. Excuse me. Okay bye.

Little Women is the only drama I thoroughly enjoyed and looked forward to this past season. I\’m so sad it\’s over! I loved the last episode but I\’m heartbroken that we didn\’t a certain something some typea scene excuse me.
