So I decided to check out Big Bet, but only from episodes 5 to 8. I went straight to episode 5 because I heard that’s when my man Son Suk-gu appears, and even though I had to wait (contd.)
almost the whole episode to see him, the moment he came on the screen was worth the wait. I’m mainly watching it for him anyway.
And I’m not a big shipper, but I’ve found my first and only ship in the show. Son Suk-gu’s Sung Hoon and the cop he’s working with, Mark Flores. I’m loving the budding bromance so far. Every time I see them interact onscreen I can’t help but ship them even harder as best friends.
I just finished watching The Glory and I’m pleasantly surprised by how good it is. I was skeptical at first, because it’s a Kim Eun-sook drama starring Song Hye-kyo, but I wanted to watch something…
while I ate breakfast. This was yesterday. I ended up getting sucked in and am now eagerly awaiting season 2. SHK is great in the role, the story is intriguing, the characters are the type you love to hate, and it’s going to be one of my best shows of the year. I’m counting it as a 2023 show since it aired at the end of 2022 and I watched it at the beginning of the new year.
Anyone seen Dear M yet? Liked it. And it didn’t hurt that the male lead is so fineeee. I sort of was aware of who he was before, but now I’m aware of who he is, and I want to see him in everything.
Yes I watched it and liked it on the most part. I liked the first 6 but felt the second half was a bit dragging in parts but I liked the story and acting. I liked the ‘campus couple’ male the best and thought the cutest couple were the super tidy psychology major and the girl with attitude. I liked the way they brought in diabetes as a condition she was living with and that it didn’t define her. out of the male lead and the senior that she liked the male lead was definitely the better deal looks and personality.
I agree. The first half was definitely better. I liked the male lead best. I like how the show handled the diabetic girl. And yes, yes, yes, the male lead was definitely waaaaay better than the senior. I never liked that senior for a moment. He never seemed genuine.
I binged Happiness and I absolutely love it. From the first few minutes of the first episode I was sold. The chemistry and easy camaraderie between Sae-beom and Yi-hyun had me grinning a LOT.
I liked how we didn’t get that dark tone used to show apocalyptic/post-apocalyptic situations in movies and shows. The sky was always a beautiful blue. And Hyung-sik’s eyes were as pretty pretty expressive as ever, and his nose as boopable. Honestly, I wanted to reach through the screen several times and do just that. And is it just me or is there something very huggable about him in Happiness? He looks broader and very, very huggable.
I enjoyed the rest of the cast. Tae-seok wasn’t bad, which was nice. Some of the people in the apartment complex were human and just as bad as the monsters outside the apartment. You know, because sometimes people are just awful, with or without stuff happening.
And the soundtrack! I’ve added most of the soundtrack to my playslist, because it’s just that good. Speaking of soundtracks I tried to watch Soundtrack #1 but couldn’t. And I really wanted to because of Hyung-sik. But after reading the recap and attempting to watch episode one, I can say that it’s definitely not for me. Or maybe it’s because I just watched and enjoyed him and Hyo-joo in Happiness 🤷🏾♀️, and his current show can’t quite sell me on its pairing.
Beanies are complaining about the ending of 2521, and then there’s me who hasn’t seen the last three episodes 😌. You cannot be disappointed by what you do not experience.
These ladies sure do clean up nicely. They make me wish I had people to do the whole walking-into-a-room-in-slo mo- while-decked-out-in-finery thing, complete with badass music and admiring onlookers.

Preferably recent ones. But if there are any older ones that you think are good, I’d love to hear those too.

Wish I could have seen what the rest are up to, but I guess I’ll have to make do with Joon Hwi and Sol. Speaking of which, I loved these scenes:
