For some of these shows I would not be suprised if some of the actors said ‘you know, the place I would really like to visit is Finland’. Between overwork, overinvested fans, and agencies overpaying themselves (by work contracts negotiated before people became stars) it seems likely that shows like this are the nearest thing to a holiday some of them get…
As a person who is travelling from Europe in Korea, Finnair is very practical to travel in Korea. They have a lot of flights for Korea, Japan and China.
It’s interesting that Finland only appeared on my radar recently in Amidst a Snowstorm of Love. And, now, here it is again. There must be a filming incentive like how many US films are done in Toronto now.
I wonder if this is an indication that actors are not getting offers for dramas as in the past so they will choose to go to reality/variety if offered.
maybe it also has to do with Netflix/Disney+ favorites. some have good deals and keep making dramas and less popular ones have a much harder time scoring a contract bc everything is taken for next 5 years. but, Netflix contracts are not all that good. it is not possible to cancel them
