Do you know what his story is? I mean, biography? I can’t find anything on him.

Not really, no. First for to know him on Running Man. Then lately on Master in the House. Only know that he is a hip hop dancer and choreographer and runs dance studio with his wife MMary, also a choreographer/dancer (she choreographs Hyuna). He’s also a regular Judge on Competitions and dance programmes like Hit The Stage. He has an Official Youtube channel – J-Black & Mary Official. I am currently watching them on “Daughter-in-law in Wonderland” but there are no subs. His family is lovely. Me wanting to know more too. He’s just so cute. They both are!

Much as I love SeungGi – their story was really the heart tugging one.

HPL – thank you for overturning the tropes, for depicting mature relationship, for conversations, for not having noble idiocy, for Deok Mi and above all for Ryan Gold.

Could our overlords and their minions consider recapping The Secret Life of my Secretary and maybe drop one of the dramas that is not \’doing it\’? I only ask because the Supreme Overlords have in the past declared a drama utterly stupid and declared an all stop and gone on to others. I am sad we did not get to gush over Ryan and Deok Mi in real time – but thank profusely Laica who did a first half review (and looking forward to part 2) and also Beanies wall. TSLOMS is really really fun and captivating, despite huge plot holes (which miraculously gets ignored) and it will be fun to have the overlords POV and insights. I miss the insights on the subtleties that we non Korean speakers miss. What say?

I can think of a drama being recapped rn that isn’t exactly ‘doing it’ 😛

Heh heh – me too – but didn’t want to name it cos there might be some who like it and I do not want to upset them.😜

“Abyss” and “One Spring Night” ? lol

I think One Spring Night is doing well? I’m not watching either one but I read the last recap for Abyss and you can sense the outrage radiating off the screen

I like One Spring Night, but it seems that a majority of Beanies are scared to get into it because of the feeling of being scorned by “Pretty Noona…” XD

Yea, it’s sad that a Park Bo Young– PARK. BO. YOUNG– drama is getting such poor reviews T…T

          1

Also, Netflix has One Spring Night so U.S Beanies can’t watch it (legally) until July.

Even without actual episode recaps, it would have been great if there was a post dedicated to discuss the series or the week/set of episodes. Kinda like Open Thread or What are you watching type of posts. Beanies walls are great but posts get buried so easily specially when a topic/beanie/theme takes over.

And is it due to the lack of good or fun kdrama recently? There aren’t as many comments as before …

So, lest I forget the story so far, I decided to rewatch HPL, plus I got hubby interested and he wanted to watch even though it is not completed (but with one week to finale, I figured – no problem). So, we got to episode 12 and their penthouse date and that\’s when I noticed it – that Deok Mi had her legs hooked over Ryan\’s leg while snuggling (I\’m pretty sure – cos I made hubby check it out!) and it made me irrationally happy. LOL!!! Anyway – happy finale to all beanies watching!!

Hubby commented that both Ryan and Deok Mi are a tour de force in HPL. Both can keep up toe to toe with each other (acting wise).

To my surprise, my hubby has also become a voluntary watcher (up until last week he was subjected to it since we both hang out in the living room, and he enjoys making fun of his 30 year old wife blushing over a kiss). Romcoms are for everyone!!!

😂 mine laughs at me for squealing over a hand hold!! And that line when Ryan shook his head and said “I’ll drive” was soon romantic – I don’t know why!!

Hmmm – maybe the full scene will be in ep 15 but then again PD-nim might be purposely avoiding comparisons with WWWSK.

You should have gone with them mom!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Even if they protested. BTS is worth it! Glad you got to see it through their eyes at least.

Oh – 😂🤣 and they wouldn’t have protested – hahaha – this Mom took her girls to Suju Supershow 3. And also SeungGi’s showcase!!! So now the kids have opportunity – must take. One went to see BTOB last year and this year these 2 get to got to BTS.

That’s awesome!!! I have never been to a concert with my mom (or dad) unless you count going to the free beach concert where Herman’s Hermits played (they were great btw). We weren’t really concert goers growing up (more theatre people). And truthfully, I wouldn’t consider myself one now either. The reason I have seen so many concerts lately is more the fact that I might never have the opportunity again to see a kpop artist than a burning need to see them live (excluding BTS – that love is too strong lol).

            1
            0

That’s the reason we go to concerts – because we do not know when there will be another opportunity. We are also musical theatre people and kids grew up on classics like Singing in the Rain, Easter Parade, American in Paris, Shall We Dance and so on. So naturally segued to musical theatre 🎭.
