    I’ve tried to watch this show like three times but I just couldn’t. I know I will love it because the FL was hilarious the first two episodes but I always put it on hold after those two episodes. I guess I haven’t found the right time (been trying to watch the show for like 8 years already tho).

      I found it on Kocowa! They have nice quality videos (for early 2000s Kdrama) and decent subtitles. But I think you can watch it for free on I-don’t-know-if-legal-or-not streaming sites as well 😡

    I loved this film! It’s a perfect tribute to Taiwanese idol drama tropes. The only thing that was jarring was the ending swap of actors.

        I get the PD’s choice to cast them, because they were the very stars who are familiar to the audience of idol dramas. But I think we spent most of the film being so invested in the younger cast that the switch was abrupt, especially with Jerry Yan’s appearance. Joe Chen managed to get Chen-hsin’s character mannerisms down quite well, so I was fine with that.

    The sweetest scene was when the male lead said he would ask Andy Lau to sing for her. And he really did a concert all under her name.

    I want a sequel for their happily ever after. 😀

      Except nobody knows what the sequel will be about.
      The cast isn’t even confirmed yet either.
      Hopefully, it will be as good or even better than the original!!!!!

It is confirmed that Ministry of Employment and Labor will not cancel Hwayugi!!
I hope this decision will be a chance for the film crew to amend for their past mistakes.
