Not sure where to post this. Recently I have been seeing a lot of Gateway errors. Almost like a DoS issue. Adding more server or scaling up (is theyre on the cloud) may help. Really user unfriendly
This still kind of makes me double take though, because it’s high in comparison to the last few years, yes, but the usage USED to be much higher than it is rn, and threads with much higher engagement and comment numbers than we have right now existed, and much more frequently, but loaded fine back then… 🤷♀️
I just had a timeout a few minutes ago while my browser said it was waiting for a Tumblr api, so maybe too many social media tie-ins might be partly to blame (???)

I might be misunderstanding you but… Why would the sharing function on the fanwall for other sites, be linked to recaps being slow? That seems… broken… and inefficient.
@sicarius I suspect *everything* on DB might be infested with social media trackers… even if the home page doesn’t have them, I’d bet recaps or anything else that can have user replies/comments will have them.

It is obvious that site usage has increased, and the servers are having difficulty handling it.

I do see a lot of ads loading before the content loads on each page, so if that the variable? Page loads are so slow

@lordcobol I see a lot of api calls in the status bar. With all that network activity, it isn’t surprising that it is slow and times out

Forget the slow loading. The whole site disappeared for me for several hours today. I thought that’s it, we’re done for.
Smart move. Now I’m just glad for the errors and slow loads. 😂
