Day 9 – Favourite Secondary Couple – Lin Jing Xiao and Lu Yang from #ALoveSoBeautiful
This was an easy challenge! While I loved Scarlett and Seol Ji Hwan from #SearchWWW, Ling Jing Xiao and Lu Yang stole my heart first. And so here is a post dedicated to the times they tugged at my heartstrings.
A Love So Beautiful is a nice youth drama that takes you back to that time when all that mattered was school, making friends, experiencing young love. Watching this drama gave me a warm and fuzzy feeling remembering that time when life was simple. Adulting is much harder, y’all!
While I did not experience first love in high school, I do enjoy dramas about them. There’s just something about seeing two people grow up together, fall in love and then spend the rest of their lives together. And this is what I watched Ling Jing Xiao and Lu Yang did throughout the show.
Lu Yang fell in love first because of what she did for him while Ling Jing Xiao took her time before she realized he was the one for her.
I’ve been in love with her all through our three years together. Even though she never regards my feelings for her with an ounce of seriousness, but today, I want to make it known, with all seriousness, that I love her. I love her!
He only had eyes for her. She liked someone else. He got his heart broken. He confessed. She started seeing him in a new light. She became more attentive to him. She missed his presence when he was not with her. And she fell in love with him.
I loved watching their progress from being friends to lovers! They spent the last days of their highschool, their university and adult years being in love with each other.

And just like that….they started a new chapter of their lives.
My tears were non-stop during their wedding ceremony! They’ve come a long way to get to this part. They grew up, went into the real world, got married, and created their own family.
“I found you. Lu Yang. Thank you.”
“Ling Jing Xiao. You’re welcome! Ling Jing Xiao. I love you.”
I watch dramas like this and I remember how it was like with my own mundane love story – it wasn’t childhood friends to lovers, but we met, started dating, spent the years getting to know more of each other, had our fair share of petty fights, got engaged, and still learn many new things about each other and grow together.
It’s very rare to find a drama that connects you on so many levels – A Love So Beautiful did that to me. I`ll always remember Ling Jing Xiao and Lu Yang’s love story.
Interesting Fact – they are not part of the original novel! So I’m glad and thankful to the scriptwriter for adding these two amazing characters into the drama……

Lu Yang is one of the best secondary character <3 , a nice friend, an awesome boyfriend, a nice man 🙂
