Would You Rather #54

I don't think I can compete against Kim Nam-gil when it comes to active priesthood. There is an element that would probably require from me more than just punching anything (I can throw punches but there is very little chance that they actually land on the expected target... I suppose I might get a bonus point for trying). Joining the priesthood requires some level of faith, of which I have none.

Additionally, while the Fiery Priest is careful to embrace other faiths too (which, as I understand, is a common trait among intelligent religious people), would I truly have the necessary IQ digits to acknowledge other faiths without thinking mine is the only true one? Too risky!

One final thought: Honestly, those priest robes may look fab on Nam-gil sshi but, how practical are they in a fight? Can I be sure I will not trip on them and splat myself face first on the ground in the middle of a fist scene? No, I can't.

I'll be a plastic surgeon police consultant. That sounds fun. Perfect use of my "supposed" plastic surgeon skills, by which I mean an eye for and understanding of anatomy and facial structure and a calm, practical mindset. Now, I'm not a trained surgeon and I don't think I have those skills, but if I were a surgeon, I would have them. They are the common denominators of plastic surgery. So, becoming a police consultant would be exploring another platform where I can apply my day-to-day skills.

Sounds much easier to me than first learning how to fight and then becoming a priest. Too much work combining two sets of completely different skills under one robe!

But at the same point, both of them are not in the military anymore. Perhaps, their friendly relationship has had to evolve outside the military from sunbae to noona because of that?

No, it's based on a fictional manwha (comic/webtoon).

I wholeheartedly agree that the K govt struck a goldmine. They were smart in showcasing their food and culture once their kdramas and kpop became popular worldwide.

I loved 3Mad. Na PD's post-3Mad cooking variety shows are also great.

I wasn’t very impressed with The Worst of Evil story-wise after the first watch. But JCW’s performance was phenomenal (so was all other actors’), so I gave it a second watch and then came to love it. Then a third and a fourth watch back to back. And now it’s in my top 10 of all time. But the OTP I root for is always JCW and Im Semi, not him and Bibi. I know I’m in the minority. But that falling apart relationship is one reason the show stayed with me longer and tugged at my heartstrings.

While it is too short a snippet but I do think Ryeoun has learnt to emote. 🥺🥺🥺 I would definitely like to check this one out.

@johahaeyo I enjoy their chemistry as well. I skipped Worst of Evil but maybe I will watch it sometime after Gangnam B-Side episodes are all released.

Interactions between main leads are lovely but there is one absurd thing that is repeated all the time - the amount of beers the FL is drinking!
I believe that in ep. 3 it was said that she drank 10 liters! That's actually dangerous for the health - the blood is too diluted then and the electrolyte balance is destroyed. Usually the organism blocks the thirst so the damage will not be done.
(And we never see her go to the loo :D)
Not complaining - just worried about her health ;)
