Don't tell me this drama is about a poor woman really yearning to become a singer and fights all odds to win the final battle but only to lose her voice forever..

That's a freaking tragedy. Is this based on real life story?

Love is for Suckers Chef John prepared a whole meal for his "date". I loved that he made gnocchis from 0. Ji-Wan enjoyed eating them!

Every scene in Recipe for Farewell!

Another Miss Oh When she woke up her parents to cook a meal for the ML and his colleagues. It looked delicious.

The Third Charm When the ML taught her to make a meal because she was depressed and ate only ramens. And she did it again at home.

Jeongnyeon was crazy to ruin her voice, but she obviously didn't realise she would permanently damage it. In her defence, I'd like to offer the following reasons:
(1) The auditionees were told that the "winners" would likely be Moon Okyeong's and Seo Hyerang's successors. Jeongnyeon felt that she had only one shot and had to go all out.
(2) Only lead performers earned big money, so Jeongnyeon had to become a lead. She wanted to support her family and take them out of poverty. She felt guilty about abandoning her family, so she had to be successful to make everything worthwhile.
(3) Jeongnyeon felt that she was behind Heo Yeongseo's abilities and was desperate to catch up somehow.
(4) Hyerang sunbae gave Jeongnyeon "advice" on how to improve in a short time and Jeongnyeon had no reason to question it or her. In South Korea's hierarchical society, and particularly at that time, you wouldn't challenge or defy a sunbae.
(5) Jeongnyeon was hurt at Hong Jooran's rejection and would've wanted to win the audition to prove Jooran made the wrong choice.
(6) Jeongnyeon probably didn't eat at the cave or drink water, so she wasn't thinking rationally. Plus getting a fever didn't help matters.
(7) Jeongnyeon is only 19, so her brain and reasoning aren't fully developed. She probably thought she was bullet-proof and would never have thought that she was damaging her vocal cords.

Jeongnyeon has to suffer the consequences of her actions and it'll be interesting to see how the final two episodes play out.

Yes!! It’s refreshing to see people that have trauma can treat people well. So many gems from this show but my favorite is To Be Loved Is To Be seen. This hits home. Let the JooJoo couple be your standard or try to be that person. Both of them are so Considerate. Which is highest form of love. Valuing each other’s feelings & needs. They never talk down on each other. Also always open to understanding each other & giving reassurance. It’s the subtle details which I find very endearing. I let every word/ conversation sink in. Growing up, I like the second lead cause they treat people well but this show is breaking that stereotype also with gender norms. Please keep the rhythm going kdrama gods!! Hope this also helps people understand why most of us love this show.

Sapporo, created in 1876, is labeled as imported and advertised as “the original Japanese beer” but is actually brewed in the United States and Canada, Antonia Bowring charges in a class-action lawsuit. “If I wanted American beer, I would have bought Budweiser,” Bowring told The Post.

On the other hand....Sapporo now owns the pioneering San Diego brewery Stone. The owners sold out in 2022 after being visited by beautiful women from the headquarters in Japan, falling in love, and marrying them. The happy couples now work on hop farms in Northern California.

As you might expect, I like the tunnel metaphor a lot more in North by Northwest, with Cary Grant and Eva Marie Saint together. As I always have said about tunnels, they are best experienced with someone you love.

That could be! Your translation makes more sense to me than what I was reading at the time.

Cooking is one of the details that Kdramas get RIGHT!

My consumption of Korean food quadrupled after watching Kdramas. I think the K government planned this and made k food a requirement for tv in order to boost k restaurants worldwide. Mission accomplished.

Back to the original topic. So many shows to choose from and my top choice is…

Little Forest

My 2nd choice is the kimchi slap. 👋 🥬
