Lee Se-young is one busy lady who I am happy to see. 😊
Starting another new year with Na In-woo. Okay but also wae, mwo. 😐
Looks like I will be cheering for our 2FL. It would be nice if she has a separate loveline.
Just wondering if Choi Min-soo will be riding any elevators in his motel. 🤭

I didnt expect that twist. I thought he is part of that kidnapper's victims. But i did suspect our pretty lead to be his birth mom. It will be an intense finale week when they both find out. There must be a big story there and I will get by box of tissues ready.

The vibe of the drama seems a bit different from what a review of the novel read like. Hmm, what is with all this "destined" business. Nonetheless, I am seated.

The Fiery Priest: Episodes 1-2

The episodes were full of fun silliness and action. Could use some more humor nowadays.

It's so nice to see Kim Nam Gil back! He's awesome at looking cool one minute and goofy the next. I'm bummed about Haeil's diagnosis though.

The new kid being a mini Haeil is right! My brief thought when the camera first lingered on him was that there were going to be some bad ones in the seminary. I'm glad I was proven wrong. At least about him. It will be quite a journey having Haeil as his guide, heh.

There are a lot of characters and a lot of things going on, but overall, these episodes were an entertaining start.

The top villain was very convincing in his brutality. All the other lackeys were played for laughs so his character stood out even more. Curious how cunning he will be and what are his "luxury items" in his next plan instead of selling hepanyl. There are already crooked cops (the main station?) so I'm glad there's another unit that should be the good guys to counteract them.

I spied Ji Seung Hyun! Please don't be corrupt. XD;;

Gogh, The Starry Night!! It's so fluffy and cute. A light, easy watch (: And Kim Young Kwang, Kwon Yuri and Lee Ji Hoon? Yes.

Family by Choice: Episodes 9-10

I’ve got to plug the cdrama here since I think they handled it way better

For one, the sanha character goes to Singapore instead of being only a train ride away, and his mother hides his passport to keep him from leaving. It was a huge mistake to show Juwon taking a day trip to visit him, since it shows that she and his dad could have been doing that this whole time.

Ditto with Haejun coming back for his conscription, since there’s seemingly no valid reason he couldn’t have come earlier and visited them first.

In the cdrama, he is more or less stuck in England for many years before coming back. And he skulks around spying on the family without showing himself for weeks while he tries to get his business off the ground and show them that he’s coming back as a success (and he’s the one who opens a cake shop, not the FL lol).

This drama isn’t working for me, sadly. I think it’s pretty good on its merits, but a few things are keeping me from engaging fully

Personally, I don’t think the FL can carry her weight. She plays the younger version a little too cutesy, and the older version is a little too childish for me not to cringe.

I’m a big fan of the cdrama, and I like that this is its own show with its own take on the characters and storylines (like Dal keeping her crush in Haejun), but it was a huge miss for me when they did the time jump

In the cdrama, the FL talks about how hard they tried to keep in touch, but we watch as she lives her life and the FaceTime calls and long, frequent texts turn into real-emotion messages that she begins to type out, only to delete and replace with platitudes. It felt so relatable and heart breaking.

And so when the boys come back into her life, there is a real feeling that she’s just moved on.

In the kdrama, the FL seems petty and angry that they haven’t contacted her in years. There doesn’t seem to be a distance between them so much as watching her have the same kind of tantrum as before they left. I don’t feel like I really know or believe her emotions about it.
