It was a good ep but I’m confused. If the king knew they were innocent, why did he allow Mungwoo and the others to be punished? It was never hinted he was even a little bit doubtful about their innocence.
He was King if nobody was against it. People could have ask that his nephew becomes the King later. His power was fragile. A lot of people saw him as a traitor because he negociated with Qinq.

I think his situation was already very precarious.
Helping people who made him a traitor would let others think he was actually one and was helping his friends.
