Why do actors returning from the military always pick a crime/thriller drama as their first project back. Sir, I’ve waited two years, I want to see you heart eyes-ing and pining.
I know! Was thinking the same thing about Woo Dohwan, because that synopsis just sounded a bit old and done. And WDH has got a great range – he’s great in dramatic scenes, he can be super goofy, and he can bring on the pining and the smoulder when required. So why stick to action?
I guess it’s their body? Grab a role that will need it when it’s still in shape, maybe? Lol
But yeah I guess male stars benefit more from rom com or romance roles after their service than action, crime shows.
But he was already super fit prearmy, so it’s not as if this is his big chance to flash those guns 😂
I’m still waiting for him to go back to light comedy action. I’d love a beach drama, WDH as part of a flipflop wearing treasure-hunting duo
If we are talking about Woo Do-hwan I am eagerly awaiting his return to the small screen in Netflix’s HUNTING DOGS.
One concern is that I did not see it on the recent list of Netflix Korean dramas that was released.
I am a fight guy. I mentioned before that perhaps Netflix will open a boxing school because just last year two of the Netflix’s Korean dramas that I watched had heavy boxing components: MOVE TO HEAVEN and D.P. For their boxing skills in both dramas I give kudos to: (MTH: Lee Je-hoon, Lee Jae-wook) and (D.P.: Jung-Hae-in, Lee Jun-young). I am sure WDH will have no problem joining these guys with his physicality.
That list was just for 2022. Netflix takes quite a while to release dramas, so if it’s filming in the next few months, it won’t be released until 2023.

Because he was super goofy in his last role before army? So he needs a change.
He has the perfect body and training to act as a boxer now :p

I also liked those boxing scenes (and the fight scenes in My Name)
