Ji Hyuk's association with love could be "pain." Clearly, he does not want to re-live his parents life (struggling to get by with kids and sick grandparents. There is also a reference that he does not like how his mom was treated; perhaps he fears that he will turn out to be like his dad and his bride would not have a good life.

There is also a bit of class consciousness and wealth envy. He may believe that the only way to break the cycle of his parent's plight would be to be fiercely independent in order to attain the wealth and status he deserves. . . . but marriage would compromise his dream. But he switched gears to take the easy way by agreeing to marry Bo A, but got foolishly burned.

As I previously wrote, I think Seoung Jae will wind up with Su Jeong, Eun-O's friend and cafe owner. There was a brief moment in episode 3 where Su Jeong seems crushing on Seoung-Jae while consoling Eun-O.

It was fine, I was hoping for more, but seeing get so easily beat up by the bad spirits was pretty sad, lol.

Zodiac Angels vs Evil ? Sounds good on paper , the animation setup was convincing. The execution along with my expectations fell flat . The Angels are without superpowers, so here are some fist fights with minions in a parking garage . 😵‍💫

I don’t know what is it about petty male protagonists that is so hilarious and (for me, personally) quite appealing. Maybe it’s a George Costanza effect, like we are putting the Seinfeld’s hilarious sidekick into the body of hot Korean actors. …Who knows, lol! But everything about this King, all his little petty avenges against the heroine, I find it funny as hell!

For me, it’s easier to separate fiction from fantasy because my focus tends to be tightly shaped by expectation. If I’m expecting an isekai-style light rom-com with food porn, I can set aside any conflicting emotions as long as the series delivers on that front (and this particular show does.) In those cases, I can laser-focus only on those aspects.

By contrast, shows like Tree With Deep Roots or Six Flying Dragons would be harder for me to compartmentalize, since my expectations for them are as serious, epic dramas about real kings. So with BAYM, I don’t feel conflicted - I simply treat it as pure fantasy. I’m curious, though, to see how they’ll handle the more “historical” elements as the story goes on, and how that will play out in the end.

Same. The fight scenes in this sort of good vs evil story always make me wonder why that's the only way of representing "doing battle". It's more dramatic? For me, it becomes predictable and monotonous. I'll stay for PHS. I do like his wings and how he sweeps aside anyone who gets in his way.
